The Heroes of the Lance return to save Krynn from the Dark Lord Verminaard and the menace of the Dragonarmies. Can the Spoony One turn back the dark tide of evil one more time? Can he survive this horrible game?

  • Hey, are you going to do a review of the other game "Pool Of Radiance"? I think there was another one as well..can't remember the name of it...but P.O.R. was fucking terrible too.
  • EvilBloodGnome
    Journey of the Sorcerer, kickass.

Hard to believe that's a fucking Eagles song, but hot damn. Just another reason they're badassery.
  • This is your finest and greatest and best review ever. The ending is fantastic. I laughed my ass off so many times when the "fuse box count"-text kicks into the scene. You're an artist man.

    Greetings from germany! :-)

i was wondering if anybody could tell me what the name of the song that plays during the fight with Ember the dragon?
  • BaconGrease
So Truh, he was just being a jerk and not explaining the part he got that wasn't immediately obvious.
  • BaconGrease
I looked it up, it's actually called 'Journey of the Sorcerer' which is an awesome name. And I think that's how it's tied in there. And it is a modernized version of the theme to original movie adaptation of the original radio series. Apparently.
  • Michael
since no one seems to have answered this...

@sacul - This is the H2G2 theme from the motion picture, created by Joby Talbot, et al.
  • brad
lol you played with a ROM
  • Truh
    > Phenomenal hitchhikers reference! Judgeing by the lack of responses to this I guess I’m the only one that got it.

No, obviously you didn't get anyhting!
There were several people already who posted this before you. And judgeing by the lack of responses before you, it would have been easy to figure this out - which you obvioulsy didn't do.
  • VGProdigy
    Holy shit!

    Most epic ending evar.
  • Tyler Featherstone
Great music cue at the end, Spoony. Your video's help make the week bearable.
  • Benjie
Wats the name of the songs when Noah realizes there is going to be a sequal to the game
  • Bastian
The sad part is that the books are actually really good
  • Floyd
Seriously Spoony wow. I'm addicted to your reviews now and i just came across this one. And it was FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY AS HELL. HA HA HA HA HA HA

The song @ 7:55 OHHH MAAANN, IT WAS SO PERFECT!!!!! Loving your reviews, will try to post more comments as i go along. Serioulsy keep it up and YOU'RE THE MAN!
  • Atticus
All these screaming until the world blows up moments are making me wonder how long it'll take for a classic Gungrave BRAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNDDDDDDOOOOOOOONNNNNNN moment.
  • ak
you know i found a copy of a dragon lance animated movie in my local block buster,
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0825245/
i wounder if you've seen this, and i wounder if this may become material for another review.
  • Pronoun
Douglas Adams reference for the win.
  • bob or something
    haha 42.
  • Assiman
I'm sorry Spoony, but this game looks great. I haven't played it (I played the first one though, ugh), but it looks ok. Music, characters, maps, COLORS and the fantasy feel, it seems to be a nice game
  • kankuroboa
how can you have played D&D and say that having a weakness to magic missle (a spell that cant be doged or have damage averted without magical resistance) makes a creature weak lol
  • Ink
Now I want to go back an reread Drangon Lance.
  • >W<
    LOLZ!
  • Nathan
Magic Missiles win at life, always.
  • fattoler
WOW! They said "Bastards" in a Nintendo game!
  • C_Sepulch
I wouldn't worry as much about the next one. It has little in common with the previous ones. It isn't even a sidescroller.
  • vwhbj2003
mark and maiden asked about the name of that song....well its from crystal method. its called weaponds of mass destruction. its from the blade soundtrack.
  • Brendoz
I would love to see spoony go crazy about the next sequel of the game :D
  • wesley
I love that music at the end with the wierd screaming effect. Just that EEEEEK!, EEEEERK!, EEEEK!, EEEERK! SOUND
  • GameMan329
Many games I've played have the same design of a overly huge map which only 1/10 of it actually matters and the rest is just there to make the world seem interactive although you have no power over anything.

I agree with Noa, with the mazes, they are not an important obstacle, they don't require any skills, no logic and no common sense... It's just there to piss you off because it's waist deep in enemies and pointlessly long.

OMG! Phenomenal hitchhikers reference! Judgeing by the lack of responses to this I guess I'm the only one that got it. Easily my fav book series and a damn fine movie as well. Your vids are awesome and I LOVE the ff8 series (even though I actually like the game). Keep up the great work because I check ur site daily for updates and you never let me down on great material. Special thanks to the AVGN for introducing me to the Nostalgic Critic and then the Nostalgic Critic for introducing me to Spoony!

P.S. I can't wait for review 42. Maybe thats what they were talking about.
