Which is not to say I didn’t watch it as a kid, but I also watched Conan the Adventurer, James Bond Jr., Captain Planet, Widget the World Watcher, Full House, Family Matters, and probably a ton of other shitty shows.

Anyway. I had a Sega CD, but I was thankfully spared from playing this shitfest. Although the games I had weren’t really any better; they were mostly either other FMV games (like Sewer Shark and Sherlock Holmes, Consulting Detective) or upgraded ports of Genesis games (like Ecco: The Tides of Time and Sol-Feace). Although actually, the RedBook soundtracks to those games were pretty great.

In fact, you can probably count the number of good, original games on the Sega CD on your fingers. There’s Sonic CD, the Lunar games, and, uhm… I don’t know, does Willy Beamish count? (I never played that, but I heard it was decent.)

So yeah. I tend to maintain that Sega as a company simply made tons of terrible business decisions, and that their one success with the Genesis was only the purest luck.
