One of my favorite Spoony reviews. I was dumb enough to beg my parents for a Sega CD as a kid (mostly to play Sonic CD, which was by FAR the crowning jewel in the system’s library), but I was never dumb enough to ask them for one of these games. I swear to god I knew a kid who owned the Kris Kross game and we made fun of him to no end.
This is an old review, but thank you for this one Spoony! Never, ever stray to far away from the HMV Hell series, it’s my favorite outside of Final Fantasy 8. Related note, I would love to see commentaries on your Sega CD run and about half of the Final Fantasy 8 series.

The big black dude. From the C+C portion of the video…I thought I had seen him somewhere before. Then it occurred to. It was a horrible shit biscuit movie from the early nineties. Class Act. That movie was so god awfully horrible it even had a cameo from Paulie Fuckin' Shore. You brought back terrible nightmares from early childhood. I think I'm going to puke now.

Spoony, I know this video was posted back in 08 but let me say some this. AMV's have been dead for years even back in 08 AMV's were slightly a dead thing. Otaku ( that's what anime fans call themselves and what people call us) were moving on to Japanese memes. Stuff like leak spin, Caramel Dancing, Get Down, etc. This the stuff you now see on Youtube! Otaku don't like AMV's because it's outdeated and something a wannabe Otaku would do.
BTW don't say “anime geek” that hurts. Otaku is the correct word if you want to talk about a person who likes anime. We are not geeks, we watch anime because it's a normal thing to do. Everyone in Japan watches anime, it's like watching tv drama or anything else on tv. Just trying to get it out there. I find it rude to be called a nerd, I am in to way that. I am an Otaku.
anime geek isn't hurtful at all, but that's speaking as a person who not only watches anime, but is rather intelligent, plays videogames, D&D, MTG, and participates in a plethora of other activities that the word geek is connotative with. Sadly Daisuke, most anime is geeky, just due to the genre falls under (fantasy/sci-fi, for example). Sure, you could have something like Monster that would be considered a drama/mystery, but you know what? It's still kinda geeky. Also, don't confuse nerds and geeks: Nerds are the super intelligent people who study hard and strive towards their goals, quite possibly participating in one or more geeky activities (though not necessarily any). Geeks are intelligent, yet not nearly as hard working (we are a lazy lot) and enjoy those fun activities (like watching anime) that are considered geeky. If you find it rude to be called a nerd because you are unintelligent and apathetic towards goals in life, that's fine, but don't find it insulting because you are an Otaku; the words are synonymous with each other, you're just being a nit-picking asshat.
And just to be sure you see this, because I like to pick fights on the Internet (i.e educate people)

Okay, let's start from the beginning. If you were as intelligent as you say you were, you'd know that nerd and geek don't mean anything what you said. A nerd is someone who knows everything about one topic, a geek knows a lot of stuff about random topics. So guess what? You're an anime NERD and a gaming GEEK. Oh, and, you've got it backwards. Nerds are usually of average intelligence but spend too much time studying. Geeks are the more intelligent ones. So, I think you should call yourself a NERD (yes, in all capital letters so everyone knows just how much of one you are). I don't even watch anime and I can almost guarantee you that Otaku is not synonymous with Nerd at all. Finally, who cares? Spoony was just making a joke.
