I’m the first to comment on this awesome review on the Experiment? Wow! Noah, you rule! This is one of your best reviews ever, and not just because of the completely MST3K-worthy subject matter. Well done!

Sebas January 12, 2009 at 12:46 am

LOLLLLLL!!! Seriously, i couldn’t stop laughing with the bid dead bat thing…This is obviously the GREATEST movie scene EVER!! Thanks a lot Spoony, this review made my day! =P

Axelander January 12, 2009 at 7:46 am

You’re the best reviewer I know!!! This is the first video/review made by you that I saw! And this review is the one that made me to discover the truly magic of the http://www.thespoonyexperiment.com !!! All hail the Spoony ONE!!!

rockrocky77 January 13, 2009 at 3:47 am

Heh “Pac” is also the Tommy Chong magicican from the MST3K classic “Cave Dwellers”.

XartaX January 13, 2009 at 4:02 am

For some reason it goes straight to the advertisement for me, so I can’t watch it :(

Sadface.

chris January 13, 2009 at 9:53 pm

what can i say? this movie is so cheesy its funny, so poor its awsome, almost like it knows its got nothing to lose so it takes the “screw it, i’ll just dance like nobody’s watching” approach. now iv seen every star wars episode, a few star treck episodes, all 3 matrix movies, so iv seen some prertty weild shit, but this…..nothing like THIS! you know the phrase “you can’t make this shit up!”? well, someone DID make it up! lol!!

BlackMethodic January 20, 2009 at 12:59 pm

I love your work Spoony, each time I enter the internet I watch at least one of your videos. I wish you could do more movie ‘video’ reviews.

And just a little detail, since most of your movie reviews are text based it would nice if possible at all to add a movie icon to the thumbnail or something that depicts that some reviews are on video like this one.

Anyway, thanx for making my day everyday. Long live the Spoony One!!!

Beans January 20, 2009 at 2:16 pm

This is like Mortal Kombat: So poor that it, like the counter that gets to 9999 then resets to 0000, becomes awesome.

finerion January 23, 2009 at 5:16 pm

This review alone should be a stand alone DVD release. I can say that without a doubt I have laughed harder watching this then any other moment in recent history. And it gets even funnier every time I watch it! (buffering movie now for 12 run through :-) )

Chad Vision January 26, 2009 at 4:22 pm

I’ve watched this over 4 times, showing it to my family and friends and all of them laughed their asses off to the simply amazing review. You sir are the greatest reviewer on the internet and you deserve your own TV show.

aaa January 28, 2009 at 3:40 am

“Hell yes” count: 26

Resobaso February 1, 2009 at 11:21 am

This review cracks me up massively everytime I watch it…

Goggalor February 5, 2009 at 5:07 pm

Epic…….just….epic….

Jason Grimm February 8, 2009 at 6:02 am

At one point I honestly thought that if I watched this enough times it would cease to be funny…turns out I was sorely mistaken. When it comes to fighting purple cave men and cutting the choice meats, it turns the old guy was right…

“We’ll need a lot more hemp before we’re through…”

Thanks to the Spoony One, I can relive this awesome fantasy extravaganza anytime. Thanks for the trip back Noah.

silvertec5 February 11, 2009 at 12:08 pm

Thanks alot Spoonyone! now I got that stupid Yor the hunter song stuck in my head. Great review though.

Carlz0r February 13, 2009 at 6:44 am

I still smile really big every time I see the bat-gliding-flying-dropkick

Jason February 19, 2009 at 12:36 pm

This is only slightly less epic than this movie. The referances are killer, though my favorite in the whole review is “ITSssss” Gotta love some Flying Circuis.

The_Joker February 21, 2009 at 10:40 am

YOU CAN GET THIS ON DVD IN GERMANY, BUT ITS ONLY IN GERMAN, SORRY.

Necrio February 21, 2009 at 4:08 pm

haha this was so glorious man, thanks for 20min of pure joy :-)

RT March 1, 2009 at 3:21 pm

‘We’ll need a lot more hemp before we’re through…’

I’m a fan of the old, sweaty guy XD

Anya March 4, 2009 at 4:30 pm

HAHA your reviews are so funny!!!!! I really like them all (except phantasmagoria, that one scared me) but YOR is definitely my favorite movie review……its really funny!!!!!! haha keep making reviews :) :)
Go YOR!!!!!! WHOO!!!!
big nose?

Bart P. March 5, 2009 at 5:47 pm

I think of this as the most underrated review, it also happens to be the first one i saw.

Sanchopuncho March 6, 2009 at 3:45 pm

This is one of the funniest movie review i ever saw… i mean the movie is epicly bad but your review wanna make me watch it over and over again…Awesome job spoony!

A good friends has that epic failfilm in german where its called “Einer gegen das Imperium (“one against the empire”)” i need to digitize it and save it for future generations, hell no, we all need to raise some funds and make a remake out of it!!!You know you want it too!

It remarkable how yor only uses two main attacks with his axe and kills eveything during the whole movie- swing from left to right and back and epic axe block! Hes really the man!

This review is pure gold and not only spoony fans should be linked to it !

aaron March 19, 2009 at 5:57 pm

hey i would like to know what is the name of that song cuz its so god dam funny that i want to add it to my playlsit

Wangan April 7, 2009 at 10:59 am

Love the warcraft reference at the end

Miraiyu April 21, 2009 at 11:33 am

Yor’s the man!!!

dude you’re freaking awesome, I think I’ve watched your phantasmagoria review more than 7 times now, and still I manage to break at least two ribs before the third hour!

Christopher April 25, 2009 at 8:25 pm

I swear every time I see this, I think Yor is Steve Odekirk…the guy from Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.

Verity April 26, 2009 at 8:18 am

I think it’s “wild beasts” not “wild bees”

Damien May 6, 2009 at 2:00 am

When it says “No tries to lead the way” instead of No I think it says Yor. But stil fucking brilliant review

Adam Bomb May 10, 2009 at 8:01 pm

You can get Yor on DVD, I bought it after I watched this review. You’re awesome, Spoony!

pelikanen May 14, 2009 at 2:35 am

I just started digging into your written stuff, and here I find this treasure ^_____^

There’s a lot of cool stuff out there, thanks for the show & tell website.

Don Quixote May 14, 2009 at 9:01 am

I know you’re swamped with a lot of work as it is, but you should do more movie/tv reviews when you get the chance! Yor and the Knightmare reviews are up there as some of my favorite reviews (although Phantasmagoria is my favorite since it really felt like MST3K with your commentary) and I think it would allow you to free yourself up from all the games you have to review!

Take it easy Spoony! :D

Master Seijin May 22, 2009 at 11:53 am

Bridge Largemeat, Punt Speedchunk, Butch Deadlift!

Victor Laube May 22, 2009 at 10:00 pm

I loved this bad movie growing up HAHAHA! I actually had a Yor: Hunter From the Futre D&D campaign. Yor’s world hes the man! Yor’s world!

Stonedonkey May 24, 2009 at 6:22 pm

“We’ll need a lot more hemp before we’re through” would go great on a t-shirt

Suraht May 26, 2009 at 3:57 am

Let the trainwreck begin, indeed.

And while you can’t find this DVD on Amazon, a google search should manage to find a region free copy available.

Dude’s aged pretty well!

Teh_watchererer June 9, 2009 at 1:24 am

Man, Reb still has that dopey smile :P

Assiman June 9, 2009 at 2:41 am

I’ve seen this one before on youtube probably, and it’s still funny! This movie looks so hardcore. Btw, the Yor’s theme song is awesome, for christ sakes. I wish I could get that song on mp3..

duncdamonk June 9, 2009 at 4:21 am

Man, that opening makes me want to watch Conan! Arnie will have to wait till I get home.

Grimwit June 9, 2009 at 5:04 am

This was it. This was the review that got me hooked on Spoony. Sure, the bulk of his video’s covers games, but this was the review, oh months ago, that hooked me to this site and forced me to inevitably click on that faithful bookmark at the top of my browser.

All Hail the Spoony One!

Mr.Mxyzptlk June 9, 2009 at 5:13 am

Yor is now available as a Regioncode Free DVD, dunno about the language.
@#41 how about using a free Youtube to MP3 converter?^^

EmperorWayne June 9, 2009 at 5:45 am

Hahahahah, glad this is back up at the front page. I love this review. Who cares if its a glitch, its totally worth it just to watch this again.

Aeterna June 9, 2009 at 5:53 am

I’d say that it could just have been a pre-historic movie.. who says aliens couldn’t have visited back then? ;)

Blueoccult June 9, 2009 at 7:43 am

You know what’s funny? They do not mention this on Reb Brown’s imdb page. I wonder why…XD

Vicious June 9, 2009 at 7:55 am

I thought you did this review already lol, at least.. hmm.. maybe I have the prescience power!

Rattrap007 June 9, 2009 at 10:38 am

Blue Occult it is on there.. it was an italian picture so it is in it’s italian title.. Look at #21 and then read the alternate titles. That is Yor.

Me thinks you’ve had way too much hemp….

Dinger June 10, 2009 at 1:15 am

GRAH you used the main theme from Conan the Destroyer, but the intro for Conan the Barbarian?
*cries*

Yeah, Im gonna need a lot more hemp before this is through

Mr.Mxyzptlk June 16, 2009 at 8:49 am

@47 Sure there is but is named after its original Title: “Il mondo di Yor” http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084935/
