In order to introduce myself to all of my new subscribers and the Nostalgia Critic fans at That Guy With The Glasses, I’ve made this review of The Most Awesome Thing of the Week: Austrian Death Machine’s new Ahnuld-themed album, “Total Brutal!” It’s a death-metal record where all the song titles and lyrics are Schwarzenegger movie quotes! Now that’s hardcore!

Tim Lambesis did bring out another album. Well not really more like a Xmas special. It has Get To Da Choppa and two other songs.

From what I’ve heard, the lead singer (the dude from As I Lay Dying) composed all of the songs (guitar, bass, drums, everything) XD
That’s pretty damn awesome for one-man work (don’t think he actually plays all the instruments too :P)

  You’re right, he composed everything on the albums except for the ‘Ahhnold’ voice and guitar solos. They’ve had almost 5 people do the Ahhnold voice for the CDs and live and their first CD had a bunch of guest guitarists do solos, like the dude from Killswitch Engage and the guys from Daath. I bet Wikipedia has a whole list if anyone’s interested.

I added this band onto the office Spotify list earlier this week. Interested in hearing what my co-workers think (though if they don't like it, they obviously have no taste in music ;) ).

I wonder if the band has seen this video and will take some of Spoony's suggestions.

  No offense, but you should learn your metal. This is thrash metal. Death metal is stuff like Cannibal Corpse, Death, Morbid Angel and Atheist. ADM is far closer to early Metallica and Slayer than it is to any of those bands.
  
  And death metal is a great but misunderstood and inaccessible genre. It’s kinda like grand-scale strategy games like Hearts of Iron.

      Perhaps you should learn something about the genre before you go calling it stupid. You would learn it’s home to some of the most technically skilled musicians on the planet and some great songwriting as well. No, the lyrics aren’t always great (though Death and Atheist have pretty good lyrics), but that doesn’t particularly matter.
      
      Aside from that, your lack of a certain essential article in the second sentence of your comment betrays your own lack of education. Learn something about music, and learn something about English before you go criticizing the world’s biggest niche music genre.
      
      Also, I’m a jazz musician as well as a metal head. Don’t even begin to talk to me about lack of taste, because I will bash you over the head with some Count Basie and Cab Calloway before slicing it off with the butt end of a drum stick.
