I have just recently come across The Spoony Experiment. I am a graphic design student at the Univ. of Southern Miss.
I have attempted to join the forums; however, I never received the activation email. I would be interested in doing artwork for Spoony.
I am nearly completing my graphic design degree; and I also do illustration - I have been working on a comic that I hope to at least
get on the web if not published. If you would like to see some of my work you can email me at jehesselberg@gmail.com.
Spoony Experiment is the most awesome thing I've ever seen.

So if we still have not heard back from you, does this mean that you found your artist for your DVD?

Let me know if you still need help with this.

That's awesome. I'm glad there are people stepping forward to do this. It would be a crime if no one did!

Actually, in real life people submit samples of their ideas in order to get assignments like this. Artists don't have to submit the full work, just concept art and notes on how it would go. It really is like a contest. Also, it separates the "I want to help" from the "I will help" folks. Many more people will offer than will actual help.

I admit of not being too found of a contest. Deciding to publish a DVD that you will sell to the public should be treated in a serious manner.

Im against a competition, saying no to guys how want to work for free is stupid. Put together a big team, do something supercool!
I can also say that using LightScribe is a stupid idea, I used it for a while and it's expensive, slow and full of problems (believe me!). There are two better alternatives. There are premade sticker (very fool-prof) that U can use in a normal printer, just print and stick it on. The other alternative (witch look more pro) is to buy a special printer, in witch you put the discs directly in. The discs you have to get, are the ones with white paper surface.
Good luck!

Now, I'm not sooooo much the visual artist, but I'm damned willing to sing your virtues online. Think like a combination of a werewolf, a donkey, and a handgun and you've got me the bard. Oh, and I do great drawlings of sharks!

That having been said, you're doing great and I dig your reviews of things and your anger over the pathetic. One love, brudda.

I have any idea for what Rupert saying,
"Problem with a contest is everyone would have to make the content, then the 99% who dont win have done hard work and put their time into nothing, thats why people usually get commisioned."
If they don't win it's always possible to put the submissions on an extra's section... other than that, that's pretty much all you can do for the people who don't win.
