Hmm…as a big Spoonyexperiment fan, I’m a bit disappointed by this review. The game is simply so boring and monotonous, it isn’t even able to provide enough material to be good to rip at. I also felt that having a “guest character” on the show (aside from Burton) was a bit off, and as for the playing-with-dolls part, well, you’ve done much funnier stuff already!

Well, let’s look at this as a warm-up for the great stuff that is to follow!

I didn’t like this one at all.

The whole “playing with dolls” part was pretty terrible (and, like you said in a previous video, Who would want to watch you play with dolls like that?) and the “character from the game comes to your house” part is really hard to pull off well. Honestly, i liked your other reviews better because you’re good at ranting and reviewing. Leave the cheap gimmicks to other people, people who do them well.

I don’t think people should take this review as serious as they are. Ok, it is not one of Noah’s best materials, but it’s clearly something he got a hold of, probably thought “man, this is shitty, I should talk about it” and did the review as fast as he could. It’s obvious he didn’t gave much thought to the dolls part script and he didn’t have much material to begin with – 2 screens of gameplay is not exactly a gold mine. I don’t think he should stop doing dolls sketches, but this one was just filling the void. He was almost 2 weeks without posting new material, he was right to put something new to keep people entretained until FF8 comes out.

What on Earth’s wrong with half the people here? The guest appearance was awesome, and Spoony hasn’t done anything with dolls for /ages/, so he’s well within his rights to do it again for a bit.

With Curtis Craig last time and Ramsay here, Spoony’s production values just shot through the roof. Stop complaining. It’s not as if he’s stopped doing what he’s done before; he’s just adding new things to his repertoire.

The accent was great and I’ve never been more amused by someone eating peppers. Keep up the brilliant work, Mr One!

I want to point out that ‘Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares’ is far superior to Hell’s Kitchen! I haven’t watched that many episodes of the later, but it seems to be less about food and more about people throwing tantrums. It turned from a fairly uplifting and interesting show to lowbrow crap.

Umm, isn’t that just a yellow bell pepper? They’re called paprika here where I live (Finland) and they’re not hot in any way, so I’m a bit confused.

I actually cut some yellow and red bell peppers in salads and often eat them for a snack.

Gordon Ramsey came to my town (South Bend, the restaurant was called Jwillies) for kitchen nightmares. I can’t believe I ate there before it was remodeled. Ughh, now I know why that philly cheese steak was so fucking god awful. It probably had moldy peppers and diseased unions and rotting steak. That bit at the end made me laugh pretty hard. Keep up the great work spoony!

I remember seeing a commercial of this game while watching Hell’s Kitchen with my mom. I remember we commented on how creepy he looked.

Very well done, considering how little you had to work with.

I’m a fan of Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares and when I saw the ads for “Hell’s Kitchen: The Game” I thought it looked pretty bad . . . but thanks to Spoony I now know just how bad/boring it is. Also props for the Gordon Ramsey impression and the fact that like in Kitchen Nightmares Spoony (as Ramsey) left to “go outside” and talk to the camera about what’s going on inside. Good stuff.

BTW, the title screen cap that Spoony used for “Kitchen Nightmares” is actually from the FAR superior version of the show that airs on the BBC and the not the ADD version that airs on Fox. Again…WAY awesome!

I almost never enjoy the skits involved with the review. However, this one was very good and Jonathan Papelbon had me rolling as well as Piett. If the wig was on better and you were wearing fancier pants, it would have been much higher quality.

That was great! I wish I had that kind of talent with video and/or audio. I just tried to do a short podcast for my folks and failed miserably. I especially liked the outtakes at the end. So, bell peppers aren’t your thing. Not everybody likes them, even if they are on the mild end for peppers. I quite like the green or red ones stuffed with hamburger and rice, myself.

And it was nice to see the Impromptu Dollhouse Theater bit make a return, even if it was more scripted this time out

That was funny. I have recently gotten hooked on Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares on BBC Canada and this was timely. I was considering this game, but I think I’ll just stick to NHL’09 and Civ IV for now. As for the Bell pepper, have to eat them garden fresh like that to avoid yacking.

That first time you bit the pepper was the funniest thing I have seen in years!! Oh God I just starting cracking up!! I tried it before with friends and all I could think about was when I was chocking and gagging on it too, thinking to myself, “I’m a fucking idiot!”
And when ‘bad wig’ Ramsey walks in on you playing with toys! You look shocked like you just got caught with your dick out.

While I enjoy watching Gordon Ramsey’s verbal abuse of people in Hells Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares I have to agree with you Spoony… that game is FU*KING RUBBISH!

Everyone is getting so uptight about this. Considering the extremely limited nature of Hell’s Kitchen, I’d say Noah did a great job of filling in the gaps. He’s got a great sense of humor and there wasn’t a moment that I wasn’t as least smiling (personally I find his impromptu action figure theater thing to be priceless since I could see myself doing it just for the fuck of it).

On top of that, the whole pepper-eating thing was quite amusing and I have to say, I didn’t know whether to laugh or gawk in shock at his reaction to the pepper. Truly memorable. On top of that I can’t help but find myself impressed that he keeps digging up games I never hear of and telling people how bad they suck. It makes me thankful i never stumbled upon these godforsken games. :)

Mikey – I certainly couldn’t stomach it, but bell peppers aren’t actually hot/spicy – I find them to be more bitter than anything else – which is still unpleasant eaten like that!

First of all, I fucking hate Gordron Ramsay. Well, no I don’t, I don’t know him, but I hate his celebrity status, the hype surrounding him, his phony tough-guy facade, the money he rakes in off all his fucking books, and his obviously forced and banal vulgarity. So it took a while for me too watch this, and I’m glad I did to see you take a bite out of a pepper. BTW you must do a review of the hideously difficult Jedi Outcast game sometime. I always loved when the chairman would take a bite out of the pepper in the beginning of Iron Chef (japanese). Poor Spoony <3 Peppers chopped up in a salad or a dish are different then when you take a huge bite out of a whole one. Love you Spoony, do whatever you want in your videos, the ones who appreciate your work will always support them ^_^

Are there differenent species of big, yellow bell peppers (AKA paprika) that are hot? Some of the comments being shocked about eating one also indicate that. Because what we so commonly eat here is complete opposite of hot: its juicy, crunchy and fresh, very tasty stuff. Common stuff in salads, on top of breads and between hamburgers (though mostly red ones are used) And I believe thats the stuff what the guy in Iron Chef also bites, and it tastes great.

Chairman Kaga took a bite out of a whole yellow pepper because that’s how huge, dense, and leathery his balls are. And possibly to prove that he has no sense of taste and explaining through demonstration why he overcompensated for it by building Kitchen Stadium. I’m leading towards the first one though.

Hell’s Kitchen and other competitive cooking shows just pale before the fun of the original Iron Chef. Even the American version is bloodless, pale, and tame compared to the Japanese forerunner. The ingredients were strange, sometimes mind-boggling, especially to a palette as bland as North America’s. Combined with the dubbed English translations and Chairman Kaga’s eccentric personality and outfits, the show had all the feel of one of a Bruce Lee flick as two chefs engage in a battle of wills and skills while the chairman watched it all from above. All that was missing was a lethargic pet for Kaga to stroke or a jacuzzi full of lesbians soaping themselves behind Kaga’s throne and he’s officially a the world’s most memorable Bond villian.

But Spoony, dude, I’m as white as it gets without bleach and even I can take a bite out of a yellow bell pepper. In fact yellow varieties are probably one of the sweeter, non-spicy varieties out there. To risk sounding like your mom, maybe if you didn’t eat all the processed diarreah-in-a-box you’d be able to stomach actual food again. Yeah I know the world is a fast-moving place and those meals offer a fast alternative for people who really do have better things to be doing, but I bet the only thing that you hate to hear more than “it’s okay baby, it happens,” is “pause cooking half-way and stir.”

But then again I’m a waking larder who probably weighs twice your size, so who the hell am I to talk? *Laughs*

I like how the ad before this video is for Master Chef, Gordon Ramsay’s new show. What the hell, happened to Hell’s Kitchen? I never watched it, but the clips in here were funny.  ”Thanks for schotting me on the mashed potatoes!!!” This is a pretty classic Spoony Review though.

Poor you, though – you looked fucking rough at the end there, I can’t imagine how vile that pepper must have tasted. You are a brave, brave soul, and I salute you for that.
