Because in FF7 it had a good plot and you actually NEEDED to grind out maxed materia because if you don’t it is likely that Sephiroth is gonna kick your measly ass in the final boss fight. And at least it gives you a damn good reason to grind them out. He is dropping a meteor the size of texas on the planet. You pretty much need to be decked to the fucking teeth to destroy him.

I’m a fan of FF8 and Im finding these reviews fuckin hilarious. One of my favorite games being torn apart? Awesome. No seriously i like seeing other peoples opinions on my favorite things like anime, video games, movies, etc… I like the game but im not the type of fanboy who spews verbal diarrhea when someone doesn’t like what i like, its all opinions and spoony’s is hilarious keep it up man

Those commenters are insane. I sometimes disagree with Spoony, but damn those people called him every swear word and derogatory adjective under the sun. Word of advice, it makes you sound a lot more credible defending a game when you are not calling a person a retard (they seriously said that) trying to defend it. For instance, if I like Okami, and another person called it crap, I would ask why, try to counter the points, but in the end would agree to disagree. I would not call them a moron. Everyone has their right to an opinion, even Spoony.

HOw is the grinding in FF8 in any way worse than the one in FF7? It took FOREVER to level up materia in FF7.

people calling spoony a newb on ff8 is fucking retarded, in fact if youre one the emos who sent him an email burning him at the stake for anything when this is a review and for fun anyway, then youre bigger loser than spoony could ever be, which isnt an ability he has.
