I sat down with Ed Glaser of Dark Maze Studios and talked with him about his DVD release of Rampage (also known as Turkish Rambo) as well as his feature-length film Press Start.

i'm really interested in getting the Press Start movie (not too sure about Rampage) especially since it's 12 bucks for it and if its as funny as the animated shorts on ThatGuyWithTheGlasses then it'll be well worth it.

It's nice to see that The Spoony One has good interviewing skills; that was really both informative _and_ entertaining, quite a rare combination. Keep up the good work!
  • Math Nerd
I just noticed that on the cover of rampage the cuts on the guy's right arm makes the pi symbol.
  • Math Nerd
Losing track of what your talking about- It leads to sexy women talking in your head.

Wait what was I talking about?
  • Chulaind
I noticed your comment about the female voice inside your head, good observation, that has been coming up in a lot of recent games and such. The idea though is actually quite old, and i think most modern conceptions get their idea from Jane in Ender's Game. If you've never read it you should go check it out, it's one of my favorite sci fi novels ever.
  • pelikanen
    Benzai is distracting me!

I wound up having to watch it again, because i just sat and stared at the little frenchie.

    Good stuff spoony!
  • Yeah...should stay out of my room spoony, geez.
  • DrGero
I can't say Turkish Rambo interests me that much (the original didn't either), but that Press Start movie looks pretty fun, judging by the trailer.

I'll have to check it out.
  • Emo Coke
Great review and there is a cortana in halo wars, her name is Serina an to be perfetly honest she is a total b***h
  • hai
not a fan of the recent vids about chicago but thanks.

i will be eagerly awaiting for your video game reviews. i like the lengthy ones the most.
  • WeirdAL
For some reason, I cannot watch this video cause it takes waaaaaay too long to load. I also tried blip.tv but there was no luck there. I am sure that it is a blip problem. Anyways I'd love to see the Turkish Rambo, since the Turks are our neighbors ( I am Greek).I am sure that lots of the cultural jokes will be as enjoyable to us as to them.

This interview inflated my interest in both Turkish Rambo and Press Start. I will be buying a copy of both. Also, I feel the need to track down some of these bad foreign knock offs. Thank you for this interview.
  • Jeff
Hey Spoony, great interview! I'm definitely gonna grab a copy of Press Start and my morbid curiosity will probably cause me to get a copy of Rampage too.

Question: You mentioned doing rifftrax in your video. Do you have any rifftrax available to watch? I loved your Phantasmagoria 2 playthrough, which was essentially a rifftrax. I would love to see more, you are freaking hilarious!
  • Chad Vision
Definitely picking up both Rampage and Press Start this summer once I get a job =P
  • KrissyDiggs
I love your use of foreign labor. :D
  • Zemnexx
Great interview, and the comedy in the background was a nice touch.
  • Great interview spoony. Ed seems like a really great guy and I really want to get both Press Start and Rampage now.
  • urza22000
On the part of Cortana thing you should check out Strife Spoony (as far as I can tell it's abandon ware).
  • Snotty
They use a lot of Road Warrior music in Turkish Rambo...

And where does Rampage Guy get his RPG rockets...??? It's not as if he's carrying a rocket bag...
  • crazyguywiththeknife
Cool interview, but I didn't care much for the movie myself.

Any estimation on when Swat 10 will be out? =)
  • Dectilon
Yeah, and they have plenty of money!

This was a good idea, probably the first good thing to come out of this event so far. Hopefully we'll get to see that movie reviewed in the future.
  • wharblgarble
Well Americans make bad rip-offs of Japanese horror movies, so I guess it all works out. It's like some terrible food-chain of plagiarism!
  • Nolan
I... I just can't believe how bad the Rocket Launcher effect is in Rampage.

A movie me and my friends made in grade 8 was more convincing. (We shot fireworks out of a decked-out tube. At least there was smoke.)
  • Pablo
I love those types of films like sergar, at least they tried that's what I say.
cinema snob's having a pierre kirby week next week if you're interested.
  • Turns out it was a good thing that you lost the audio on the other review. You might not have done this interview if you had the other review up.
  • 3 Dev Adam, El Santo & Captain America vs Spiderman!!! I saw it and I loved! It's so freakin' bizarre and bad that it's good!
Another good/bad super hero exploitation turkish flick is Kilink (Killing)
  • Lennox
I have to say I really appreciate these Vlogs. You were probably really busy when you were down there and just the fact that you did these for us shows how devoted you are to all of this.
  • Oh neat. You're wearing a Kunio shirt! I love the Nekketsu games!
  • Wright
Ed Glaser has quite a respectable beard.
