Rattrap007 June 4, 2009 at 11:30 am

Farewell David. You will be missed…

Timothy June 4, 2009 at 11:32 am

R.I.P. David Carradine

You did a great job as Bill, but you somehow wanted to kill yourself.

Ashenge June 4, 2009 at 11:35 am

I hope he left a note that explained why. Or something.

Tracey June 4, 2009 at 11:41 am

RIP. What a shame. :\

CrimsonDusk June 4, 2009 at 11:41 am

I’ll miss you man you had a voice and a presence that everyone felt when he would perfrom in a movie. I’m ashamed to admit I only saw or I only remember him in Kill Bill Vol. 1,2 and from the episode in Amazing Stories : Thanksgiving were there were strange creatures in the well. I hope other people will truly remember this great actor and maybe recommend me some of his movies so I can enjoy this great actors performance. Oh and don’t jump in to say it was suicide. I thin he was killed by some notorious Thailand people. Hope he didn’t got in trouble with their mafia or tried the local delicacies in women. R.I.P. man.

Geoffrey June 4, 2009 at 11:45 am

Looks like the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique finally caught up with him!

Nah, I shouldn’t be saying stuff like that, I apologize. Rest In Peace, David… and thank you for your great contribution to movie entertainment as we know it.

Boadicia June 4, 2009 at 11:48 am

Man, I’d kill for some tv station to pick up Kung Fu, or its sequel which was in my generation.

It most likely was a suicide, since he was hanging in a closet, and that’s a seriously impractical way to murder someone. Then again, the autopsy hasn’t been done yet.

Ely June 4, 2009 at 11:48 am

cant get the video to show up, but i looked at thatguywiththeglasses.com as soon as i saw what happened to him to see if anybody had a video ready, saw nothing, then came here, thanks spoony!

Nolan June 4, 2009 at 11:56 am

This was definitely a case of auto-erotic asphyxiation. It shouldn’t matter to anyone except morally retarded people like Warrior. RIP David.

tomelin June 4, 2009 at 12:00 pm

Was there supposed to be something in that giant white square ? A video ?

johnnyfog June 4, 2009 at 12:00 pm

At first I was confused. Then I think maybe it shouldn’t come as such a shock to us that some would want to take their own lives rather than leave their ultimate fate up to age, or illness, or random chance.

I never saw Kung Fu. He was really witty and intimidating in Kill Bill, though.

matt June 4, 2009 at 12:20 pm

fuck no!
that’s a shame, a nice and humble man just died. met him at a convention one, really nice guy.
R.I.P. David.
:(

Gustavo June 4, 2009 at 12:39 pm

Who would’ve thought that HE would be the one that killed Bill..? Sad…

Keet June 4, 2009 at 12:56 pm

I only knew him from Kill Bill, and a Lizzie McGuire episode.
Rest in peace.

Drivron June 4, 2009 at 1:01 pm

Death sucks—-

Understatement of the year!

Kamen Rider Gumo June 4, 2009 at 1:16 pm

Man…this is a tough pill to swallow. Carradine was always one of my favorite actors. I grew up on “Kung Fu: The Legend Continues” and later caught the first season of the original series – awesome stuff. He also had a role as a villain in a Chuck Norris movie (I think it was “Lone Wolf McQuaid”, but it’s been a long time since I’ve seen it and I may have gotten the title wrong) and hosted “Wild West Tech” on the History Channel for a spell (his narration and puns alone were worth watching the show for). I knew he was filming another movie and was looking forward to seeing it. Not sure if we’ll ever get to now – at least, not with any of his scenes intact. Depends on how much was shot before he died, I guess.

Danimal June 4, 2009 at 1:33 pm

I met him once when I worked at Hollywood Blvd. Theaters in Woodridge, IL. While I guided him to the bathroom, he asked “do you wash your hands before or after you touch your cock?”

A great man, a great man…. he will be missed.

CapnG June 4, 2009 at 1:59 pm

Shambala awaits you, Kwai Chang Kain…

aaa June 4, 2009 at 1:59 pm

The only proper burial to this guy would be the Tibetan sky burial.

CamshotDave June 4, 2009 at 2:10 pm

It’s hart to find the real words when a hero of your childhood dies …
I searched for quotes from Caine or from Bill … but the one I found, the one which really made me sad … was from David Carradine himself …

“You know, I’ve never actually really believed that death is inevitable. I just think it’s a rumor. “

Dark Pascual June 4, 2009 at 2:28 pm

RIP David…

You where my hero in Kung Fu and one of my favourite villains in Kill Bill

We will miss you…

MaliceDragon June 4, 2009 at 2:35 pm

It’s really sad that this happened. A good friend of mine suddenly told me about this this afternoon, It’s good that you did this, Spoony.

insanerikki June 4, 2009 at 2:36 pm

Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Kill Bill 1 and 2…He is a man up there with Bruce Lee and all the other kung fu movie stars. He will be sorely missed. RIP David.

Sirabhorn June 4, 2009 at 2:53 pm

I still can’t believe it.. Such a mysterious death that came out of nowhere. I am very curious about it.

But I guess that doesn’t matter right now, what’s done is done. RIP David Carradine. I only really saw Kill Bill, but that role was brilliant and one of my favorite roles in a movie ever.

FaustSnake June 4, 2009 at 2:58 pm

To me he’ll always be remembered as Frankenstein in the 1974 movie Death Race 2000.

Damn, can’t really find the words.

R.I.P. David Carradine

Robin June 4, 2009 at 3:07 pm

HE was in a Jonas Brothers music video though!

Jesse S. June 4, 2009 at 3:19 pm

Wow, 73 years old. Guess I’d never really thought about how old David Carradine was. I just thought he was still way younger than that. Too bad he’s gone.

Tommy O'Justice June 4, 2009 at 3:29 pm

Rest in Peace. I’ll go watch Deathrace 3000 in your honor.

Altoman5 June 4, 2009 at 3:55 pm

Man, I remember watching David on Kung Fu: The Legend Continues and it kicked ass. Hope he rests in peace. He was a great guy and will be remembered. Wished I had met him.

Junker June 4, 2009 at 4:21 pm

There have been reports that he committed suicide, that’s not entirely true, he DID hang himself, but, it wasn’t intentional. Apparently, he was attempting auto-erotic asphyxiation. Seriously.

dennett316 June 4, 2009 at 5:01 pm

Oh dear David, that’s not the best way to be found is it?? Hanging by a cord that is also wrapped around your junk…not dignified in the least. Oh well, shouldn’t judge really so long as he didn’t hurt anyone else doing what he did, though there are some unpleasant rumours and quotes flying around.

Jack June 4, 2009 at 5:01 pm

I was shocked when I saw an article about his death.
And the first thing I thought was what was spoony’s reaction
and you actually reacted

Stevey B June 4, 2009 at 8:05 pm

Goodnight, sweet prince.

Kalashnikov June 4, 2009 at 8:14 pm

I guess the bride finally got him in the end.
This is sad, sad news.

FuseSpliff June 4, 2009 at 8:21 pm

This is idd really sad news.
He was a great actor and always found those amazing mad roles to play….

I think Spoony should do a compilation or something to honor him

jabuta June 4, 2009 at 11:41 pm

R.I.P. David Carradine

Max June 5, 2009 at 12:13 am

Im actually close to tears. I didnt know before i saw it on this site.
I grew up seeing Kung Fu and i remember it having an actual impact on my thinking and my outlook on life.
Im also really glad spoony reacted the way he did, more proof that he is the great entertainer and generally great guy
i believe him to be.

Rest in Peace David.

Tomelin June 5, 2009 at 1:37 am

Apparently getting hanged by your dong is lethal. Live and learn, guys…live and learn.

johnnyfog June 5, 2009 at 4:58 am

Well, there goes the suicide theory. Damn, you’d think being a star would give you a degree of protection but I guess all tourists are ‘fair game’.

Sjuge June 5, 2009 at 5:55 am

Such a shame. What a way to go though; shrouded in mystery.

Assiman June 5, 2009 at 6:23 am

never heard anything about this guy except for his name. Still, that clip is rather awesome, that is really philosophical.

Cthulhu07 June 5, 2009 at 7:03 am

Rest in peace, David. You will be missed.

Tomelin June 5, 2009 at 8:32 am

“Still, that clip is rather awesome, that is really philosophical.”

“Does the bird seeks to be admired by its song ?”
Sure does. How else will it attract the females ? Not everything that sounds philosophical is philosophy.

Dan June 5, 2009 at 9:16 am

What a way to go, eh? He will be sorely missed.

Denta June 5, 2009 at 10:19 am

I remember David in movies such as Kill Bill, Death Race 2000, The Misfit Brigade and many more.

R.I.P. David Carradine, you will be missed.

Fardawg June 5, 2009 at 3:10 pm

Looks now like he died of erotic asphyxia. What a waste of human life for cheep thrills.

http://abcnews.go.com/Health/story?id=7764618&page=1

Fardawg June 5, 2009 at 3:14 pm

Sorry, I didn’t see the previous posts about the asphyxia.

MaliciDWildman June 5, 2009 at 4:54 pm

The Death of Grasshopper has gone from Suicide to Murder to Accidental Death from Kinky Sex. Please let the truth not be stranger than fiction.

KODTJohn June 5, 2009 at 5:40 pm

Yuck. I could have done without the media publishing details of his sex life. Too bizare to pass up, I guess.
