Why do you dislike Dave for playing a role, you know, like an actor? Especially when he did a great job, i know that Bruce Lee would have been awesome too, but stop shitting on my childhood.

I'm not GLAD he's dead, but I AM glad that someone who made a career for the last 40 years pretending to be Chinese, despite not having ANY asian blood, and who ROBBED Bruce Lee of a starring role on a show that Bruce Lee created isn't able to do that anymore.

I agree that this shouldn't change the way we see his career, but I'm more worried about his family.

However, running a yellow light is very different than practicing a dangerous sexual act. Continuously running RED lights for the thrill of it would be a more appropriate comparison, though that is even more stupid since you would be risking the life of others. It isn't as if it was a split second decision where he made a bad judgment call. He apparently did this habitually and had plenty of time to realize how dangerous it was and what it would do to his family, and his reputation, if he messed up. It apparently was a factor in the demise of his last marriage. I just wish he would have sought help for his addiction so he would still be here for his family.

I'm with Insomnia on this one. Today I ran a yellow light - an unnecessary and stupid life-risking behavior. Nothing bad happened but I regret doing it (as I could have safely stopped) and my kids would have suffered if anything bad had happened to me.
Carradine’s sex life is really none of our business. In the end, death finds us all; we really don't have a great deal of choice over how we'll look to the media when it happens.
YES, what he did was extremely dangerous (and STUPID!) and I pray if anything good comes of this, that anyone doing it will stop after hearing about him. But let's not hold our breath on that (no pun intended).
The reality is that it's none of our business.

I say that because a lot of people seem to be pretty disrespectful toward him because of his behavior leading up to his death. To me, none of that really changes the person he was seen as, and what he had done with his career. So, that is what I will remember him best for doing. Human life seems to be taken too much for granted. So when it is gone, it always deserves some form of respect.

"The way that he died really means nothing to me."

But it didn't have to happen. That's the saddest part. He risked losing his family and his newly jump started career just to get off. Hopefully this might wake some people up about stupid life-risking behavior. I agree, he will be missed. Especially by his kids.

The way that he died really means nothing to me. In my opinion, he was an under appreciated. Most people that I've talked to about him only knew him as Bill. And although that really was a great role for him, he did so much more in his career that he never really seemed to get any recognition for. Kung Fu will probably be what I'll remember him most for. That and his role as Frankenstein in Death Race 2000. Hell, I even watched some crappy made for TV movie he was in a few months back just because he was in it... and ended up liking it! People can say what they wish about his personal life. To me, he will be missed.
