Hey everyone! This is Scarlett – also known as Spoony’s woman, TSE’s web mistress, and the whip-crackin’ fan seducer wrangler from the forums. I’ve just finished many feverish hours of damage control, and I think it’s safe to say that TSE is back up and running again … For now. [Cue thunder clap of doom.]
The written Movie Reviews, the Photo Gallery, and Dean Talks Anime will be unavailable for a while, as all of those sections require major updating (and in some cases, complete redesigning) now that TSE is running on all new coding. (Note to Dreamhost: I am going to PUNCH you in the SOUL!)
We’re going to be moving the site to a dedicated server sometime in the near future, probably starting with the forums, but we’ll let everyone know in advance of the changeover. In the event that Dreamhost hasn’t finished sodomizing TSE with Big Daddy’s drill, you may want to follow TheSpoonyOne on Twitter, just in case something happens to our hosting account before we make the switch.
Thanks to everyone for your patience, and apologies to those who were alarmed by Spoony’s last post. Looks like I really do have some skills outside of the bedroom after all! Awwwwww yeah. ;-)

…I could do without imagining Noah doing ANYTHING in “the bedroom”, thank you. Nevertheless, it is great to see that his support group is just as computer skill savvy and the site isn’t going to completely vanish into the mouth of Abaddon. Hopefully.

I can’t help but notice that the economy is still in shambles, and the Middle East is still…well, “Middle Easting”. I’m sure you’ll fix these any day now, but if you have a few free moments on a lunch break or while grinding your Handiness skill, please reunite North and South Korea. If you could un-crazy Kim Jong-il in the process, it’d be much appreciated.

Although as far as hosting goes, you may already have a dedicated server or something, but my host (well, my friend’s host. =P) that I use, he says he has tons of space he doesn’t know what to do with, so if you ever need a back up plan, I can always ask if he can handle the famous spoony one’s bandwidth. XD
(Cause I know space isn’t a problem.)

Dreamhost is probably hosting the site images from within the webserver instead of caching them through an outside source. That is seriously incompetent webhosting if that is indeed the case. That scenario is really the only possible way this site could have taken down a physical box by itself.
Dreamhost needs to start caching images or stop hosting alltogether. There’s no way they’re going to stay in business if they don’t do that.

Murphy have his own room at the Noah house. I can say that Noah is a good jumper: Jumped from all Youtube posts to his own website, jumped from one project to another, and jumping from Webhost A to Webhost B. Good see that some things will never change. Good luck with current and future sites.

Hey, um not to sound like spam here but the new Opera Unite Browser allows you to use your own PC as a web server, so it would mean no $300+ hireing out a server. Just a thought dude… However not tried that function out myslef, but thought it might be worth investigating!
