A man goes crazy waiting for a game to load.
Special guest star Noah Antwiler of spoonyexperiment.com
Animated/Directed by Eric Power music by Eric Bohlke with Aileen Adler on Theremin and Tom Kimzey on Baritone Sax
Good god that’s surreal.
Was it made under the influence of any mind-altering drugs? (Note: I consider such things to be, at the very least, not a bad thing.)
Good to know that Burton cares about you Spoony.
This was pretty good IMO. Liked the style, but the animation could have been a bit better.
“This is the BURTON Experiment now, meatbag!”
Am I going crazy, or does he use 3d animation at the very end, when he zooms in on your head?
You could maybe take some simple photos of your room, to make it easier for people to recreate it ^^
In this video it kinda looks like a… prison?
That was awesome! You should ask if you can use part of it as an intro. It had so many aspects of your show, right down to you hating those frigging tabs they put on some game boxes and DVDs. But the Powerman 5000 thing with Dr. Insano was still the greatest non-Spoony video on here.
Crazy awesome. Creepy, kind of reminds me of Salad Fingers a bit. Burton was so cute!
Let’s face it those DVD tabs pushed him over the edge…
what the fuck was that anyway?! supposed to be funny or arthouse or turkish B-Movie?!
Glad you didnt make this one Spoony!
dude….I am totally trippin ballz….oh look a unicorn…
Lol that was funny but was that the epic review???
That was just terrible!
Much, much better than I can do…but a chore to watch all the same.
Just keep telling yourself – It’s only a game. It’s only a game … that will have you living in the sixth dimension. Moving … in the wrong direction.
We all hate the loading screen.
Think I’ll just wait for the epic review ;)
It’s shit. Apart from the music of course.
Well that was weird…
Honestly…That was crap. No fault of yours, of course, Noah.
It’s OK, but would’ve been better if we hear your voice!
That’s usually the icing on the cake to hear your voice!
Uh, well, I think my fear of The Spoony One just tripled. Wait, never mind, it quadrupled.
Heh, that was awesome.
To those not enjoying this… Think of this along the lines of Dahli and surrealist stuff like that. It’s…. bizarre, but by no means bad. Especially if you snoop around the internet, XD
i think if Noah didn’t do video reviews/rants I think he might end up in a nut house at some point.
Haha, that was pretty cool.
LOL that was a lot of fun. Awesome :)
Looks like it was inspired by the intro from Out of this world…
This is pretty much how it will go down when Spoony finally loses that last thread of his sanity, I think. Including the part where he briefly turns into Medusa.
That was quite artsy. I liked it, great music too.
I must check out their other work.
So it’s crap for a reason? Oh, that’s ok then.
Guess I’m a philistine.
That wa spretty cool, too bad there isn’t actual Spoony screamage at the end.
I used to animate with Flash as well, and I can say this animation just made me cringe. By all means, it was not a bad animation at all, but it seemed so mechanical and lifeless. If anything, just take it slowly. And if you want to focus on the imagery, make it in like a slideshow format. If you want an animation, then really make it an animation. Half-waying it like that just doesn’t seem to work out.
I guess this is directed towards the animator
I want my two minutes back. <_<
The secret origin of Dr. Insano.
This wasn’t done in Flash.
That was pretty funny…I think we’ve all been there, too.
Well..without a robot willing to put us in the crazy-house, that is.
Wasn’t the best animation I’ve ever seen but it’s a nice tribute. It’s got it’s own little style that goes nicely with the theme and that matches the background music really well. The end part was quite nice too, and you have to appreciate all the little references to the Spoony Experiment like the ‘Get To Da Choppa!’ shirt and Dizzy Gillespie. Enjoyable to watch.
that was weird to say the least.
I for one liked it.
It had its rough spots and it seemed a bit more stiff than Eric’s other works( which I also like), but overall I don’t think it was cringe-worthy, and you have to give him credit for all the in-jokes he was able to put in, which show he’s probably a dedicated fan.
“Last night’s ‘Itchy and Scratchy Show’ was, without a doubt, the worst episode ever. Rest assured, I was on the internet within minutes, registering my disgust throughout the world.”
It was shit tbh.
This shorts plot seems to have been taken from Angry German Kid, and whoever that guy in white was he barely looked anything like Spooney, he looked like some generic teen.
Oh hey everyone,
I wanted to clear things up on the making of this video. I agree that the animation is a bit stiff, which is due to the fact I put it together in 4 days from concept to creation. It wasn’t meant to be on par with my professional animation work (day job), just a fun little video…. plus i couldn’t resist making a animated Spoony to torment! Kind of like that Bugs and Daffy cartoon… think of it as a “screwing with spoony” kind of thing. cheers!
I kinda liked it
That’s was rather surreal; the concise length was well chosen, I don’t know if I would have survived or enjoyed something very much longer.
Theremin and baritone saxophone is a combination that I now recognize as wonderful, but tragically rare.
I am aware of how much work he put on this. The video itself is well made. But the content is plain boring and unfunny.
Red Silvers, you are right this is the secret origin of Dr. Insano.
0:55 – It’s TEH DEVIL!
Or was it teh Satan…? Liked the surreal style anyway.
This was awesome. In a weird way. Surrealistic and disturbing at the same time
What the flying fuck…that was strange o_O
Very well done, in my humble opinion! Very entertaining and a great tribute. ^_^
It looked like a lazy student art film or something, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. Just boring.
I just didn’t liked it…
The joke about the loading time wasted is very old… And poorly done.
I barely could keep my interest…
The part when spoony transforms into a medusa… I don’t know…
The music… With better syncronization, it could have worked out very well… But in this kind of animation, if you miss the moment by half a second, the joke is ruined.
Surrealist? Dahli? Seriously man: are you high?
Ah I see you were playing that one old Alone in the Dark game that came out during the PSX’s initial release. Loading times for loading times….
Ooooooooooooh, don’t be such a crybaby.
Cute/heartless…. all at the same time.
Meh. Not really funny.
glory to the burton experiment! finally our little robot friend get rid off of the chains of that skinny white guy…
its a pitty that the written movie reviews are offline, but there is plenty other good stuff, noah is truly a fine entertainer and amazing/fantastic guy in general. especially liked the street fighter 2010 review and klingon language school. may you always find a bloodworm in your drink spoony, kaaplah!
Hee hee hee…
Feeling the pain, too!!
Those DVD tabs would put anyone over the edge…
Reminds me of Nick Bounty. (google it)
Ah ha! So THAT’S where Dr. Insano came from.
On another note, even if you didn’t care for the animation it’s cool that Spoony was honored in some way.
Oh, and at least we know he wasn’t trying to play FF8. If a disc read error came up for that came, he’d probably exclaim, “Good! Now I don’t have to play this piece of shit!”
I just went onto Blip.tv and watched both episodes.
The guy needs to take art classes. A lot of them.
This is just fucking horrible. No offense to Spoony. Have some standards who you give your likeliness out to. The animation sucks, the story sucks, the music is bland. I don’t want to watch some being bored. That isn’t entertaining in the slightest.
This video was intresting, confusing and entertaining at the same time.
How can people get so animated (pun intended) about some shitty flash cartoon, it wasn’t terrible. I’m sure I would appreciate it more if I had some acid.
Giant Dizzy Glepsie (God i totaly failed at spelling his last name) FTW.
He must have been playing the Last Remnant, motherfucker takes a century to load a battle.
PC version = WIN
As for the video I really liked the music, had a very nice feel to it, that really went with the video, giving it a more comedic feel, which I suppose is what they were going for.
my eyes and ears have been raped
i just realised this to be another cheesey turkish remake of American gold
I love the Dr.Insano goggles
the true story of how spoony became dr.insano or wanted to, also i saw their website and they are really good
Is this not up anymore? Not working for me…
