Now I don’t think Final Fantasy VIII is the best game ever made, I still enjoy playing it from time to time Draw system, Junction system and flawed story line and all, but I don’t think it deserves the hateful muck racking involved in this review series.  Especially, about Eyes on Me. Nor do I think fans of FF VIII deserve to be called unintelligent or be told that they suck for liking it. Good Lord.

Although, I do respect the honesty and the descriptive thought out nature of the hate at times. I can even agree with some of the points myself to a degree. Its refreshing to run into a critic of FF VIII who doesn’t become a frothing idiot about one detail or simply due to not liking the entirety cannot muster concise details about their hate. At least it was funny at times.

I tend to enjoy games/anime/manga that others hate for one reason or another. I also tend to avoid ones that are insanely popular because I usually won’t like them. I appreciate how you also reviewed 7 and (as a joke) 1 as well. 8 and 10 are my favorites because of the Junction and Sphere Grid systems, and though I can understand how some people don’t like them, I found them enjoyable because they were different. Most RPGs are the same in that you level up, use money and items to continuously get better equipment, and accomplish some grand task. 8 and 10 changed the attribute system and made it interesting. And though the Materia system in 7 was different as well, I just found that game to be too boring to press forward through maybe 1/4 of the game.

I’d like to thank you for reviewing this one anyway. Even though our opinions are different, you shared yours in a reasonable and sometimes laughable way (referring to your jokes btw) and even if I didn’t like them too much, my friends found it immensely satisfying.  

Oh, and I love that song.

That said, I’m off to play this game again. Kudos to you.
