Since I can here the snob fine but when he shows off the movie clips the audio is very low and I can’t hear anything unless I put my speakers on very high. Just wanted to ask since I think it might be only me having the problem,

Thanks to Spoony for introducing me to this man’s work. I’ve put his website (thecinemasnob.com, of course) on my bookmarks to check out the older material that he’s been reposting.

Oh i am so addicted to the cinema snob now… Alas it inspired me to watch this ‘children of the living dead’ dvd i have had laying around for years. it got a 2.1 on IMDB and just missed out on being in the top 100 worst rated movies on IMDB (used to be in there iirc). its hoooooooorrrible. every other shot has some sort of boom mic or reflection of the crew sitting around but the zombie at least is the most unintentionally funny zombie i have ever seen in my entire life.

a Zombie movie without Zombies that happens to be a ripoff of Halloween.. Sounds like a winner! These vids are great I love discovering old obscure horror movies I never would have heard of otherwise good find! Also I want more Spoony reviews dammit!

like someone said, he talks like a robot, and when someone like spoony uploads your videos to his site you expect the guy to be funny and unique but he really isn’t.

Lovin’ the cimasnob effort. He has been added to my rounds everyday. To the people whining about it, get over it. Spoony has always posted his own videos when he finishes them, thats never changed and I dont see it happening anytime soon. If you dont like the snob dont watch, and yes he alrdy has his own fans- spoony maybe helping create more but its seems the intention was actually to help the guy out while he gets his website up. Give him a break, hes tryin to help him. If you dont like the snob videos dont watch em… everyone else can enjoy ‘em.

As for the Snob being “monotone”, I vastly prefer a subdued performance to the sort of loud, cartoonish overreactions that so many other people rely on (stopped watching NC altogether because of that. And don’t even get me started on the latest AVGN).

Even though this film really does not featurea zombie, it was in some ways better than Zombie 5. Yes Killing Birds had zombies….or rather zombie ghosts, but the film was such a snail pace slow. At least this film did have some scenes to keep up the pace. Though it has horrible effects and camera working. Lights, eerie dread, and other technical aspects i would have to give to killing Birds. But you did a good job. Pretty much pointed out everything that needed to be pointed out in this pretty garbage quality film. If worse comes to worse and you want to go to another series i suggest the Blind Dead series. There is 1 good entry in that saga of pretty bland and sometimes dumb flicks.

Have to agree with Dr.Klahn. A couple of people I know rage on about the Nostalgia Critic and how good he is. And while I will concede some of his stuff can be funny, and his original Transformers review was pretty good, he’s not as entertaining as Spoony or some of the less flamboyant AVGN stuff. Sometimes all I hear is noise with NC, no real words. The Cinema Snob has managed to find his own niche and is pretty original in presentation. I also find the stuff he puts out entertaining. The monotone, sarcastic nature comes across well for me and he lets the footage speak for itself most of the time.

I can’t watch this guy. His voice just bores me. Even though these horrible Zombie movies are good riff material, I couldn’t really get into it at all. Also, what’s with the bare feet in the opening segment? Everyone knows man feet are horrible and should never be shown off in such a manner. You lost man points for failing to understand this basic concept.

I also think these updates should have their own section, as opposed to the main page. I don’t mean to knock your friends or anything, but I’m just not interested in TGWTG or this other guy with the horrible bare feet. Let them make their own experiments (websites).

I think Andreas Schnaas Zombie 90:Extreme Pestilence is supposed to be Zombie 7. It has the most hilarious dubbing of any movie i have ever seen. As soon as i get a dvd burner i’ll mail you a copy. Andreas Schnaas directed the Violent Shit series.

It turns me off his reviews because he makes no attempt to say to his fans “Hey guys, making fun of Seans weight isn’t cool, hes my friend, and you dont know him.” It turns me off his reviews that he’s posting videos on his site for a friend like the Snob, and people are bitching out his feet being in the video. Its not constructive criticism, and is really only being said to be mean. It bothers me, because Spoony shouldn’t have to apologize for his fans, but you think he’d stick up for his friends a bit. It turns me off his reviews because he makes no attempt to say to his fans “Hey guys, making fun of Seans weight isn’t cool, hes my friend, and you dont know him.” It turns me off his reviews that he’s posting videos on his site for a friend like the Snob, and people are bitching out his feet being in the video. Its not constructive criticism, and is really only being said to be mean. It bothers me, because Spoony shouldn’t have to apologize for his fans, but you think he’d stick up for his friends a bit. Also, the comments get filtered, the rude ones have been removed.

To be honest, to me even Spoonys Vlogs are more entertaining than the snobs videos.
At least with spoony, it feels like hes adressing the viewers, not just ranting into empty space.
That, and saying how horribly bad cheap slasher flicks are, is about as original as saying
the new star wars trilogy sucks.

Regardless of whether you enjoy the Snob’s videos, regardless of whether you agree with Spoony hosting or featuring other peoples’ works, regardless of whether your penis can be seen from space, your comments hosted here are on a website you do not have any authority over and consume resources you do not (directly) pay for. At least have the decency and dignity to criticize constructively if you are going to criticize and have on top of those qualities the maturity to not cast the Comments section into the realm of pointless bickering; otherwise, you are only tarnishing the website you are allegedly “fans” of.

You don’t like the Snob’s voice? Suggest he speak with less monotony. You don’t like his feet? Suggest he wear socks or slippers or shoes. You don’t like his choice of movies? Suggest he review horrible movies you want him to.

I think I’d find this reviews a lot better if it wasn’t for the prolonged phases of absolute silence where supposedly the film is being unintentionally funny :(

I can’t hear the audio in the video. I can hear it when the guy is talking, but not when he plays clips from the actual movie.

The Cinema Snob’s ironic, caustic brand of humor is often hilarious to watch. He is an excellent film reviewer.

I always feel bad for Brad Jones. He reviews such godawful movies AND STILL MANAGES TO STAY SANE! HOW DOES HE DO THAT?????

Cinema Snob has a sense of humor that is almost exactly opposite of the Nostalgia Critic. Instead of using hammy acting as a substitute for comedy, Cinema Snob uses bitter cynicism as a substitute for humor. At least laughing at cynicism isn’t as personally embarrassing as laughing at a grown man acting like a 12 year old.

All of this said, Critic and Snob are still very funny, and I am laughing most of the time. They are both analytical and entertaining. They both have a respect for the subject matter, and usually know to tip over the sacred cows. But the they both push their style too much. The Critic is more guilty of this, and there are plenty of situations where a joke just goes on for way too long, and you sit there in pain, begging him to stop. While the Snob’s sense of humor doesn’t require him to be embarrassingly “zany” like the Critic, his bitterness gets pushed to the point where the jokes just make me angry at the movie. I don’t know if Snob is actually trying to get his audience to hate a movie as much as he does, but if he’s being cynical to make us laugh at the movie, it isn’t working well. Snob’s cynicism inspires more hatred than laughs, while Critic’s “Loony Toon’s” bullshit inspires more pain than laughs.

Thank God they don’t do it often enough to ruin their reviews.
