The Spoony Experiment

Let’s Riff on Ripper – Act 1, Part 1

by Spoony on August 19, 2009 · View Comments

The investigation begins! Ace reporter Jake Quinlan starts out by checking out the police station for case reports on the Ripper case, but will Detective Magnotta hamper his efforts? Will Catherine recover from the Ripper’s attack? Will Marion be able to elude the Nazis and give the headpiece to the Staff of Ra to Indy?

Find out! It’s un-fuckin’-believable!

(I’m working on fixing the interlacing issues. Not sure where those came from.)

Hey Spoony, when you finish riffing on the entire Ripper game, you should do a montage clip of all the conversations with Magnotta. It would be pure comedic gold.

Loved it, but if I can ask a stupid question, what the heck do you mean by “so colonial” or was that something I missed back in the prologue?

How much crack was Walken on when he made this?

Wow I haven’t seen elevators that slow since Mass Effect.

Mad props for fitting in that Overdrawn at the Memory Bank reference. Certainly one of Raul Julia’s poorer choice of movies.

So me and my brother have invented a fantastic game you can do with almost any of the Christopher Walken footage!

Whilst watching the FMV play out, everytime Walken puts a cigar in his mouth, pause it, take a cylindrical object of your own choosing (sausage, line of chocolate, salami, flute, carrot, cock etc.) and use it to recreate the screen pause before you as accurately as you can WITHOUT LAUGHING.

It’s undoable. FOR ANY OF THEM.

True about the police station, you are on Mars! Even the doors sound like the ones from DooM…

She'll call in her secret weapon: “Slows time with the healing touch”.

Haha oh man trauma center references, awesome.

Why are there skull designs on the hospital walls?
Not exactly putting you in a safe and comfortable mindframe when visiting.

“Hey, I'm here to see my girlfriend here in this place with skulls on the walls… D:”

Sadly no option to bend that receptionist over her desk.

This is why you rock Spoony–your videos have a really big replay value. These aren't just reviews or walkthroughs–your commentary is so spot-on funny and at times really informative, and I find myself watching these back to back as though I were watching MST3K. You are that funny. :)

Ah, Paul Giamatti, before people let him play non-weaselly characters. The clown hair jokes were a riot.

The Creepy Hospital walls really calms those patients in the ICU

godzillaexpert May 27, 2010 at 7:44 am

Surprised Spoony didn't comment on that

I'd say, even in real life. empty hospital halls that just fade in the dark, you think a whole bunch of zombies will spill out into the halls

Holy shit, I just saw Microcosm at my local bookstore! I didn't get it, I still don't know what it is, but fuck that's weird.
