Quinlan does some footwork around town, following Catherine’s tracks to the Virtual Library and Jimmie Walker’s “Smoke Shop.” But the star-studded celebrity parade continues as we also encounter 2-time Oscar nominee Burgess Meredith! And he’s mean!

Oh wow! I laughed so hard when Burgess Meredith showed up!
  • THE_CONNERY
Aw, Spoony cut Burgess some slack, this was a year before the man died.

@Disthron: If I got this right, it went like this:
"no i aid" is spoken like "no eye-aid", which means "no glasses". Apparently this translates to 20/20 because with 20/20...to be honest, I don't know the unit...you can see as good as a human can. So you don't need glasses.
In the metric system, it translates to 6/6 (according to wikipedia).

glad to see spoony has decided to carry on with this series. this game is fucking awful lol.
  • Disthron
...how did you get 20 20 from no i aid?
  • reymundo
Did anyone notice when talking to Burgess Meredtih, it looks like they tried to pass a front panel of a computer as a computer. Could be just the front of one, but looks just like the others, drives and everything.
  • Clerks references ftw. :D
  • martin
sorry to say i stopped the video 3 mins in , this is not your usual funny self , what happened ?
  • Alia
I love all the fantasy novel references lol
  • Id
This...THIS! pure awesome, I love what you did with the poor crazy old man, so funny :3

BUT I NEED NO PROTECTION FOR I WELD THE STAFF OF MAGUIS!!!!
  • The crystals remind me of the Fire Marble puzzle in Riven.
  • Sugarbaby
Spoony, if I've said it once (and I have), I've said it a thousand times...you da man. I wish you well with Scarlet, but, y'know, should things not work out...call me. ;P

Oh, and Jim - #94...BWAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!! Weird Al rocks my socks, nice usage!! XD
  • Andrew
It's just freakin' amazing how many big actors are in the game. Each one is worse than the next. I'm tempted to go to IMDB to see who else is in this trainwreck, but it's more hilarious when you surprise me with them. I LIKED YOU BETTER WHEN YOU WERE CARRYING SPIT! YOU BUM!
  • RJD
You can tell that the actor playing Quinlan is trying his hardest not to crack up during the last scene. For this game being his last role before his death, Meredith does give a pretty memorable - albeit hammy - performance.
  • Nick Stone
    porn star!! hahahah
  • I'm always entertained when you put up a new riff video Spoony. You're one of the few internet performers who can keep someone laughing with just your voice. I'm a little surprised that you didn't mention that the random surgeon in Part 1 (after talking to Marion) was Paul Giamatti, though.

By the way, I noticed that you mentioned on Twitter how you were looking for more random quotes to adorn the top of the site. Here's a few I hope you'll like (they're mostly movie quotes, because I love movies):

"What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen in the movie?"

    "We're talking paranoid delusional psychosis."

"Come on in, and try not to ruin everything by being you."

    "I triple-dog dare ya!"

"Now with 100% more Cinema Snob!"

"Yes, Revolution of the Mask is awesome..."

"The sidebar ads speak truth... your meat is TAINTED..."

Here's hoping you use some of 'em! Keep up the great comedy!

    >>CR@1G: So the internet in this game is like that episode of Futurama where Leela meets a male version of her own “species”.<<

That was EXACTLY my first thought when I saw it, which in turn had me dreading loads of flying spam windows LOL

Great job as always, Spoony - looking forward to more soon :)
  • Jim
So Catherine is a pisces? Does that mean she should avoid any Virgos or Leos with the Ebola virus? Is she the true Lord of the Dance, no matter what those idiots at work say?
  • CR@1G
So the internet in this game is like that episode of Futurama where Leela meets a male version of her own "species". If you have seen the episode you'll know what I'm on about when I mean "species".
  • Six of Spades
Woah, woah, did you just say that Super Monkey Ball *sucked*?

That's not cool, man. Not cool at all.
  • Danny D.
This rules so much. Ripper is just one of those games I love to hate. Your commentary on it is very similar to what I'm thinking when I play it.
  • Matrim
Am I the only one who immediately thought of Mako when Burgess Meredith started talking? "There are powerful gods here!"
  • the Random Ninja 5
Wah, Wah, Wah... what a great riff my fine feathered fink. Wah, Wah, Wah!
It's amazing, that you can scan the cover of a publication and immediately upload it onto your digital device. Unfortunately; You'd still need glasses to read it, Mr. Bemis.
  • Nonesuch
Great work as always Spoony. Keep it up my friend.
  • Viper6390
I love watching these riff videos. Anyway, when you go to this virtual internet what actually happens? Are you physically in this world or does your mind just leave your body when you go.Can you be killed when you go to this world? Also, that scene with the librarian throwing the book into your forehead was hilarious. Looking forward to the next one.

Spoony is a cultural reference machine! I've been eagerly anticipating this since Phantasmagoria ended and I must say I'm not disappointed. I thought this would never get off the ground when you had camera and site issues.
  • Airrider
Has anybody else seen a little Drebin in Jimmie Walker's character? Because weirdly I do. I think Spoony missed some good riffs in that regard.
  • Huh.. Burgess Meredith's last project was Ripper before he died. That's depressing.
  • "The police, RRRRRGH!"
  • f16134
To pelikanen: yeah man people from around the world like him a lot and Poland is no exception :D
