Paw’s in trouble, but don’t fear! Wherever a soul is tormented by Final Fantasy I’ll be there to save the day!

Awesome, the P3 song! Had one of the best soundtracks ever, as did P4.

Top 9: Music Moments in JRPGs

Everyone saying “what, no [insert game here]? fuck you!” is an idiot.
This video is based on Paw’s memories. Not your memories. His.

Shame he didn’t play Snatcher. Game had some friggin’ great music.

Good choices on his part though.

SOUL. PUNCHED!

Zinger September 7, 2009 at 1:58 pm

Holy crap. This guy has exactly the same tastes as me. I don’t feel so alone anymore! *plays #1 song*

All that I have to say is “Nice”.

The songs chosen are pretty good. No one can REALLY bash the songs chosen.

“WOLVERINES! THIS IS MY BOOMSTICK!”

I have to say that Spoony’s lines made the whole video worth it if nothing else did. The video was great, but it was even more awesome seeing Spoony there.
“I WILL PUNCH YOU IN THE SOUL!”

Good to see this video, as the topic interests me greatly, but it was a shame how little of the music was audible over the constant, and fairly unfunny, commentary.

Damn, this was slow – I won’t be watching any of this Paw guy’s vids again. And the one point where i thought he was about to make up for it with the best ever set up to a Fight Club reference – he didn’t make the Damn reference! I love your stuff, Spoony, but jeez, i wish you hadn’t featured this video…

well, that was gay.

How about Jet Set Radio Future, or Wanderer of the offensive from Shadow Of the Collossus, or how about the Megaman x series, or Morrowind, Oblivion, Street Fighter 4, or even motherfucking ZELDA: Ocarina of time and all those others that followed, how about even god damn Mirror’s Edge, or the Halo series, or the Starcraft soundtrack, or Time crisis, or FUCKING MAX PAYNE. This guy is a complete hack and it seems that this fucker only touched a ps1 or ps2 in his whole life, and even then still only selecting shitty games with rpg or platform elements.

Holy shit that was amazing. I saw goggles fine self and smiled. Then I saw the lightning and got even more excited. Then… WOLVERINES!!! Oh man. You guys made such an awesome ending together.

I liked it, I mean obviously not everyone is gonna agree, it's a matter of personal taste. I thought seeing everyone together at the end was epic :)

I don’t see why this video has generated so much dislike. Paw picked some pretty decent songs and I may not exactly look kindly on JRPGs I will at least admit that those were some quality soundtracks. Paw seems like a guy who really loves a very specific genre of games, from a similar time and console. And that is pretty damn cool if he can find examples of JRPGs that I don’t immediately want to claw the eyes out of. So, props to Paws. And the ending sequence was awesome in every way shape and form!
