My response to Film Brain’s review of Inglourious Basterds.

I still liked District 9 better than either film. Tarantino’s films are all the same basically. Violence, smart ass dialogue, and weird editing. I would have preferred a true story about the Jewish men who were trained by Brittish special forces.

Tarantino frequently disappoints with his over-budget films. I’m almost willing to say that he would probably make better movies if he didn’t have so much money.

I dunno.. he just strikes me as way too arrogant and full of himself, Maybe if he wasn’t trying to convince the world of how cool he is, and take a humble pill with some humble pie, and we could have some decent films.

As of now? Too arrogant. Too spoiled.

confused matthew, Cinema Snob, brad cook of Film Threat, the gang from Spill, Sean Axmaker from Rotten Tomatoes, and a slew of other film snobs and media critics are far better movie reviews. I simply watch Spooney to see what stupid thing he will say/do next.In that respect he is entertaining.For his supidity.

Spoony is entitled to his opinion, and if he thinks FB is out of his mind then he’s aloud to say it. By the way Spoony, I 100% agree with you. Saying Transformers 2 is better than Inglorious Basterds is just crazy. LOL

Hell even in Spoony’s review of IB he seems to think the Nazis are all evil scum of the earth and all they did in the moive is dog kicking, guess celebrating the birth of your son makes you EVIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLL and your deserve to die in Spoony’s book, heh.

Any way FB’s reveiw does have some good point the Basterd part were the weakest parts in the moive, because what they do the the Nazi (as I said most are just normal people) is disturbing, made worst by the fact 80% of the veiwers are rooting for the Basterd (fucking dumbasses)

Also I found Fredrick Zoller’s snapping near the end to be Grade-A Character Derailment just so you wouldn’t fell sorry for wend he gets shot in the back.

TF2 was an enjoyable 90 min toy ad with robots fighting, and IB was also good in it’s own way (like I said I personaly don’t like the movie, I can see why other people would)

to be completely honest, i hate Film Brain. but i have to agree with him here. “basterds” was just okay it wasn’t good nor was it bad, it was just okay. and honestly Spoony. i used to be a fan of yours but this isn’t cool, i don’t even like Film Brain but “slap the stupid out of him” simply because he didn’t agree with you. if everyone had the same tastes the world would suck. I liked Transformers 2 and Halloween 2, and you didn’t but i don’t go around saying that you are stupid because you didn’t like them. and really i thought you were better than this. and all of little lap dogs around here calling Film Brain names and shit is immature. Wow, there’s some crazy rantings going on. Spoony is awsome and I love film brains reviews too. I don’t watch either to form my own opinions, I watch them to be entertained. I could care less who loves what. Everyone loves different things for different reasons. The only thing that screwed brain up was his numbering system which can cause problems if you aren’t completely consistant. 1 to 5 is too small. 1 to 10 is a better range if your going to use numbers. Lets you be a bit more specific.

Nobody should take any of this too seriously. Spoony’s pic response was over the top, but it was pretty funny. Now, if we really wanna see him go nuts, give Yor a bad review or talk crap about MST3K. Now we’re talking about line crossing! :D

I’m sorry but Film Brain has about as much business reviewing films as dog that eats throw-up, and shit has writing fine dining articles.Some of his stuff is funny, but after his Equilibrium review (Yes it was silly but in comparison to the shit storm that was Transformer 2 it was a classic. A fucking action fantasy movie doesn’t have to take itself seriously.)I began realizing how often he forces criticism in an attempt to be funny. Inglorious Basterds was a great film, and Film Brains’ amateur criticisms won’t change a goddamn thing.

And you know why TGWTG keeps that kind of lowquality “reviewers” like Film Brain and Amazing Atheist around?
Because the site is full of asskissers and fanboys. Yes I know it’s the internet, but TGWTG really goes ebyond the point of no return there.
It’s like people give them 5 star ratings to videos and articles just because it’s on the site.

People are calling themselves fans of Spoony, yet they are raging at something like this and saying they won’t watch his videos anymore because he makes posts like this, but then it is quite obvious you just don’t get it, and you are hardly a fan of Spoony if a post like this makes you rage.

Spoony is just doing this for entertainment, and he created plenty of entertainment from these comments. I can bet he doesn’t even hate Film Brain. Some of you people need to re-assess your definition of ‘fan’, because you obviously aren’t fan enough to understand posts like this.

Many people have said it before me, but get over it. If you don’t like it, you were never a fan of Spoony, whether you thought you were or not, because this post defines him, and always has.

Really its been said before but seriously, grow up if you have your panties in a bunch over what spoony says on his own website. And FYI filmbrain sucks, I mean there is nothing worse nor more depressing than seeing TGWTG’s 5second movies and then accidentally clicking one of filmbrains limp efforts.

This argument has gotten way out of control. And I know I am adding fuel to the fire, but ignorance only persists when people who have some semblance of understanding do nothing. I do not see eye-to-eye with Spoony all the time. He has a tendency to appreciate things that seem stuffy, pretentious, and self-righteous; I prefer things that you can look at in one instance as an analytical piece of work or just watch as a cluster of bright colors and funny dialogue. The difference between my disagreements with Spoony and my disagreements with the Film Brain is this: Spoony may nit-pick at something, but at least it has some f**king merit. Film Brain nit-picks at things that, if he had actually paid attention to the movie in the first place, WOULD HAVE MADE FOOKING SENSE!! This is why his opinions have no basis in reality. He has no credibility to say if something is good or bad, better or worse, or make any ranking system for anything. I have not seen Inglorious Bastards (though I want to) nor Transformers 2 (and I know better), so if anyone would like to comment as to MY credentials, note that I did not discuss whether one was better than the other, which means that no one can use that to undermine my opinion at all.
