Spoony, I would love to see you review District 9. I love the movie, and I'm wondering if you will. You get to know the character, and some parts do drone on, but it's still a . . . original movie. I think it's extremely original.

Y'know, I still want to see 2012, because it looks hilarious like all of Emerich's movies... That said, however, I'm afraid I'm going to have to shit all over your opinion of Boondock Saints... Haven't seen the sequel, so I can't speak to it, but the first one was fuck-all entertaining. :P

Sorry Spoony, but I could not get over the excessive use of the green screen. I know movies today, especially action movies, heavily rely on the green screen, but for some reason it stood out drastically to me in the theater and there wasn't a single "chase" scene that pulled me in, nor was there at any point a time in which I was invested enough in anyone on screen, including the fate of the entire human race, to be concerned about what was going on. There was no movie magic because the whole film was movie.

Poor caricatures aside in Independence day, at least they blew up models, which means something was destroyed other than an actors career when filming that movie. I thought day after tomorrow, which was a God-awful travesty of a movie not worth the hard drive space it filled up in production was a better movie than this CGI waste of time.

Haha Boondock Saints 2, the memories.. One of the worst performed spectacles I've ever witnessed, but it's got at least one legendary scene in it.

"These sons of bitches PRRRISON FUCKED US! IN THE ASS! And then they wiped thier dicks on our grandmas drapes!"

Fucking epic.
(pardon my course language, but I live in Sweden where there is no censorship whatsoever)

I saw my dad and brothers watching this and I realized this is really the kind of movie you watch for the amusement park ride sensation it gives - the pointless stunts like flying a plane through a crack in the earth under a building that's collapsing (piloted by a guy who even says he can't fly properly) just gives that FMV ride feel - the Star Wars Experience, the Back to the Future Ride, etc. Its the kind of film you watch in IMax for the sheer gut-dropping sensation of motion without actually moving. That more or less describes what Roland is trying to do, and god bless him for that, but he should really just create Roland Emmerich's "End of the World: The Theme Park" and create a bunch of rides based around escaping destroyed landmarks.
