I watched that about 7 times now. I think its hilarious. I'm wondering the context of Robocops statement. Is he saying “What the hell, fried chicken!” in terms of he has never seen fried chicken before. What has Robocop only had grilled chicken and he's like “What the hell, I didn't know you could fry chicken!” Or did is Robocop on some kind of low sodium diet but the chicken is so good that he breaks his diet. “What the hell, I'm not suppose to eat fried chicken but I'll make an exception.” I'm also wondering about the “Yo, I'm about to eat!” Comment. Either he wants privacy and is telling that family to scram from the their own house or he is really excepted that he is about to eat. When has Robocop ever said “Yo”? And finally, those anti-smoking laws are getting really ridiculous. A cop can open fire on you for smoking outside.

  It’s cool. I just happen to know this because I myself am actually half Korean (other half being Irish. Weird mix, I know). And hell, I can’t blame you for being too puzzled at RoboCop doing… what he just did.

Hmmm.. A Maytag Appliance for dessert. Crunchy with nougat inside.. it's a Robocop Snickers bar.
He's been eating these things along with Jaws and JabberJaw for years and nobody ever seemed to notice cause it's usually in the middle of the night. If you ever wake up and your fridge, washer, dryer, or TV are just gone and there's babyfood on the floor, Robocop or JabberJaw has been there (Jaws likes to eat golfcarts and 89 Hyundai's, he says they have a peppery kick to them). At least they didn't offer him their microwave which is like a slim-jim to the metal monster.. or something else weird like a vacuum cleaner or first born child..

It makes me sad that so many people are just assuming it's Japanese. It sounds stupid and anal and quite possibly arrogant, I know, but their written languages share none of the same characters. Korean doesn't even use Chinese characters except in formal circumstances. :,(

I´m learning Japanese, so I noticed the lack of kanji (btw. Thanks KoreanTommy), but let´s be honest, most people from america or europe never come in contact with ANY asian language. Heck, I don´t want to know where my own sister would put the asian states on a blind map.
If there is no knowledge of these things, misconceptions are inevitable.

Not so sure about that. But that's only because Japan has 6, soon to be 8, years of mandatory English in schools, China and Korea have 3 and Hong Kong, India and Singapore speak it as a semi-main language. That's a pretty large hunk of Asia.

But, yes. It was a dickish thing to say and I'm sure I'll feel guilty for saying it tomorrow. Right now, I'm still wishing people would learn more about their worlds.

There is a RoboCop remake in the works boys and girls. It's being done by Darren Aronofsky; The director of The Wrestler, The Fountain, and PI. No other details are announced so far.. But I think Spoony was just having a RoboCop montage.

Yeah, the brand name… it's in the Korean subtitles behind the English. I dunno about it being clearly spoken though, given that it's Konglish. I can't imagine too many English speakers hearing well through the accent.
