If I'd have seen this clip years ago when I still thought wrestling was real, I think my mind would have exploded. As it stands it's just about the worst thing I've ever seen in wrestling. Yep, even the hand was better as it was a pun (Well, let's give Mae Young a hand. *applause*) and so instantly more entertaining than hearing Jim Ross seamlessly switch from wrestling angle to “oh…and here comes Robocop”.

Now, I was not watching WCW when this happened, but seriously, couldn't they have just had Sting bust out of it himself? Or have someone from the back come down and effectuate the same result? Sting's leg was broken because he refused to give up his title shot against Flair and was kicked out of the Horsemen, which would be his “achilles heel.” Come 1990 and the knee's injured again, negating a title shot for the Stinger, so Sting's buddy Lex Luger ended up with the title shot while Sting was unable to compete, and Sting wanted to be in Luger's corner. Sting, in no real shape to defend himself should Ole, Arn, and new Horseman Sid Vicious (fortunately Woman wasn't accompanying the Horsemen at the time to avoid any potential Sex Pistols joke) decide to further injure him. It was announced that Sting would have a bodyguard, and then it was announced who the bodyguard was, Robocop.

I am now glad I couldn't afford that PPV, as I would have played it up in my mind to being far more than it was.
