Magnata is either guilty as sin, or the most ignorant/overconfident cop ever.

The biggest clue to the identity of the Ripper that the cops have is that he might be using Nanomachines to do the deed. You would think that having someone whack his old college buddies would be kinda relevant to the investigation. So he's either getting away with murder because the police decided to put a detective known for tampering with evidence in charge of a murder investigation and solely responsible for everything. Or he is supremely confident that he can defend himself from a guy who can get in, slice n dice a person, and getting out without leaving any physical evidence whatsoever.

As for poor Vic… I guess he shouldn't have had that one last wafer thin mint.

I don't think there is a method to trigger particular person to be the Ripper, it's more random. It requires Spoony to play whole game several times, so I don't think he will do it. Of course it would be nice :D

Walkin is undoubtedly the best riffing material for this game. What I don't understand is that the game is giving clues that everyone of the three suspects is the Ripper. Yet the only one with a legitimate alibi, and without any hard evidence against them is a fourth suspect that is suspiciously absent at all the right times as well.

I have to admit for it's time to explain how the killings were taking place with endothermic pressure was pretty science fictiony. What isn't explained is how the Ripper can do this int he body of just about anyone. Farley being the exception since he eats like a maniac and it's more believable he ate either nano bots or some sort of device/fluid that triggers it.

There’s a puzzle, similar to the one to open the voice secured door, in Torin’s Passage (an old Sierra point and click adventure game). In that game you have “voice crystals” that hold voice recordings, and you have to use one to call to the main villain’s stooge. The crystal is broken, so you have to re-arange it and put it into the crystal player to make her say the desired line.

In general Torin’s Passage has some pretty good puzzles, it’s a really fun game, and the audio puzzle here just reminded me of it.
