WARNING: what follows is a rambling, babbling, incoherent two-hour long mess. I’m talking about the vlog; Impact was much, much worse.

All my best wishes and thoughts go to the victims of the recent earthquake in Chile. I can’t do much more than offer some entertainment and hope that I can at least make you laugh a little. Hang in there.

EDIT: Everyone follow TNADixie on Twitter and let her know how much you enjoyed Impact!

WWE actually took Hulk Hogan out of the intro. They replaced him with Ted DeBiasi saying “Everybody’s Got A Price!”

  • Ixilion

Wrestling, wrestling! WRESTLE! So much win Spoony and I only watched 46 minutes.

omg the rest of the video is even better, or maybe I’m going insane.

AAAAGHH! magic ring, ninjas and talking hearing about those thing make my brain hurt from stupidity.

  • Anonymous

you should watch ROH on HDnet if you wanna see real wrestling..

BTW, isent Dragon Gate USA and Ring of Honor coming to Phoenix during wrestlemania weekend?…you should go and review it…watch some real 5 * wrestling
    :D

  • PandaBrawler

Wow. I was just watching the Bret Hart/Hulk Hogan Vlog just a few seconds ago. Talk about a coincidence.

  • laz1985

wow thats a long video but TNA really did suck this week

  • emptysquare

No matter how bad it gets, I will always, ALWAYS be a fan of TNA, I don't know why, it's just me. Also, an 8.8 is devastating, and I wish them all the best. Not a lot it will do from Canada, but It's all I can do from here right now.

  • ApatheticOne (the original)

As bad as an 8.8 is and it IS bad..(this coming from someone from the San Francisco, Ca Bay Area where we get big earthquakes quite often)…Chile was far more prepared than say, Haiti. They have much more structurally sound buildings than a lot of other countries…. that being said, prayers go out to the people of Chile.

  • shoulda

“You certainly are incredible. A perfect example of genetics gone wrong. Now go stand in the corner and dribble or do something just as intelligent.” – The sleeping talking man

… as true today as it was then

  • margatroid

The sad part is you actually things sound awesome(in a hammy cheesy way), when there is nothing good about TNA Impact.

Spoony, I’ve been following your videos and reviews for a long time, your videos always make me laugh and I always en up entertained, however, I had never posted in any of your videos, but I feel compelled to because I’m a chilean. I’m 17 years old and I live in Santiago, the capital, but I’m currently living in Germany, I’m currently an exchange student. After waking up yesterday and receiving tons of phone calls from my german friends, SMS’ and Facebook messages telling me to contact my family and friends, I knew something bad was going down. Throughout the day I was able to contact everyone, and I feel truly lucky that everyone’s ok. That’s my story, I didn’t really have the experience of being there, but the desperation was endless. Anyways, I wanted to really thank you for wishing us your best and for all the awesome videos you make, I can’t really explain why, but i did sit for the whole video, just watching you freak out over wrestling xD I hope you keep up the awesome work dude! :D and thanks again.

  • mkaatr

    Hello there…

I don't live in the states, so I never seen the show you are talking about, but I guess it is a “good one” in a sense that it is so stupid in a funny way. May be I am wrong, but this video makes me want to see the show :) just to see how horrible & funny it is.

    Thanks for the video.

    Regards.

    • PandaBrawler

Here’s a wrestling match between AJ Styles and Abyss

      http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1605085096643813470&ei=rMqKS82IKoTqrAKkyJX8Cg&q=TNA&hl=en&view=3&client=firefox-a#

It’s funny that someone like Abyss (the guy with the mask) is actually going with the whole “I have the power,” scheme. Imagine if someone like Kane (a wrestler from the WWE) ended up like that?
… Then again, Kane’s been through a lot of stupid shit. Kinda like when he was apparently a necrophiliac. Oh God.

        Hello there…

Thanks for the link, but when I saw the first minute of this I was like OMG, it is exactly like what spoony was saying, “The stupidity was radiating from TV”.
Thanks again for clarifying this, and thanks spoony for the video.

        Regards

I could be watching a movie right now. I can't believe I am watching a guy, watch a show, a freak out about it. This is just so awesomely weird. You should submit this as a film to a festival.

  • Kirzan

Damn! When you lost it… Damn!

  • titanicpineapple

Watching this while playing LOTRO and laughing my ass off already!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Trey-Smith/1036658831 Trey Smith

Yeah it's Wrestling. What do you expect? Watching almost naked sweaty men rolling around on each other isn't exactly high art.

  • duxlq

I like your vlogs better than some reviews. It's awesome to hear you poke holes in TNA .

  • http://www.twitter.com/gotmewrong1984 Dan

Holy fuck Spoony this was one of the funniest things you've ever done. I've always been a fan of Raw and I've got you to thank for never watching Impact. I'd have to say that I don't mind all your tweets, I see them as instant reviews and they're always fucking hilarious. You need to make this wrestling talk a staple of your site all you need is a clever name like Roddy Piper had. Maybe, something like that Terrain of Testament or Spoony's Squared Circle Scoop hah. Keep up the good work man.

  • Duke of New York A#1

Your Hulk Hogan impersonation if freaking hilarious!! You're such a snarky bastard!! TNA must have been painful to watch!!!!!!

  • ZC3

1: Ahhh, poor Spoony, thanks for enduring it like the rest of us. Lol'd hard when you lost your fudge and had to take a walk.

2: Dragon Gate's not really my thing, I'm more of an ROH guy. You should try to go to their Phoenix show during Wrestlemania weekend.

  • Kaylakaze

I love your wrestling reviews, especially since I haven't watched WWE since right before TLC. I never watch TNA. I watched one episode of Impact a few years ago and it was so bad, I never even TRIED to watch it again. So it's good hearing you discuss it.

  • lastsigma

I think you went a little over the top with your yelling and freak outs here. The Vlogs are supposed to be you shooting from the hip here, but with two hours and only one camera angle I had to do something to remain sane.

It had some good moments and I'd have rather had you talking about TNA than me watching TNA.

  • Needs_Moar_Desu

While I have yet to watch the VLog yet, I am SO FUCKING GLAD you got your hair cut! Srsly, you were starting to look like James Cameron there for a minute. (no, really: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a… )

Also: You're a good man for sending your condolences. I wish the same.

  • geekfury

Was I the only one that noticed that it looked like Spoony was'nt wearing pants? >_>

  • adamfox

Obviously u da man… Love the Vlogs, but I personally find wrestling a joke, well ever since the early 90's. Its cool you doing this for yourself and wrestling fans…. I just wish you balanced it out with new movie vlogs…. I was really interested to know what you thought of Shutter Island…

  • http://fusashi-rantsandthoughts.blogspot.com/ Fusashi Yuraka

my god man….you need to bust out the drinks…you deserve it man…and this is why I am a hardcore fan man,You felt that you had to put yourself through a personal hell and back for the fans and to maybe give something for the guys over in Chile to laugh at and maybe take there minds off the carnage that occurred over there.

You sir are a kind man that, for some reason, loves to hurt yourself for the sake of other people's entertainment.

you are a guy worth looking up too heh heh heh…now take a shot and a shower…you need some cool off time. _(^_^)_

  • http://www.facebook.com/mrtomeriksson Tom Eriksson

I love this shit, just love it.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Matthew-Dive/832364247 Matthew Dive

Spoony, if you're going to suffer that much for your art, the least we can do is come along for the ride.

And for those in Chile, our thoughts are with you.

  • Michael_G

For as long as Spoony went on, it was still less talking that was in impact. 9 minutes of wrestling 4 of which had interviews segments over them 3 of which featured the nasty boys and 30 seconds of which was the rob terry match.

Your wrestling tweets are awesome btw, its good for when you cba or dont want to do a vlog and it gives us wrestling fans our spoony wrestling fix. Spoony wrestling… lol should be a promotion.

  • DeathsHead419

He's home, right? Then, he doesn't need pants. That's what Benzaie says at least.

  • pheathos

    Best…Stuff…Ever!!!!

Honestly, i think that this was your best, most funny video youve done since your FFVIII review.

Would love to see more. literally had me rolling on the floor laughing my ass off.

  • http://twitter.com/Maulmoviemoos Maul

I watched the whole thing, and it was amazing. Haven't watched wrestling in years and I used to be big into it, but oddly enough I'll watch you watch wrestling for 2 hours.

  • Haplo699

I think the big problem is you have a company who's production and back stage work pretty much sucked but were putting on a lot of kick ass matches. So they bring in a selection of guys that have the biggest egos in the industry and guess what they take the focus off of the matches and put it on themselves thus negating the only good part of the show. Also more blame need to sent Vince Russo's way, that guy lost all credibility even before the pope-mobile.

  • http://www.facebook.com/marious21 Omar Robles

    Spoony, you are the man!
I love your rants about tna and wwe, however, it seemed really painful to make. Thank you.
Your vblogs are really entertaining, I actually sat down and finished my home work while i listen to your vlog and laughing most of the time :).
Let me also add a thank you for talking about the recent earthquake in Chile and in a small way you are giving your fans in Chile some entertainment to keep them going in these bad times.

  • tiggerpete

ok, so I have been coming to this site for the better part of a year now, but this is the first time I felt compelled to comment. This was insanity at its finest, it was hilarious to watch your sanity slipping away, and I would like to seriously thank you for all the crap you go through for our entertainment, my hats off to you, and I hope you get a chance to unwind with something fun and intelligent at some point. (I haven't watched wrestling since I was in high school, but I feel your v-logs on it are better than actually watching the shows) I would love to see you do more v-logs where you gradually slip into insanity, it is great fun.

  • Cube-heaD

I remember only seeing back in the early 90's here them showing some WWF's… after that it has been some random wrestlingshows now and then.
But hehe, I'm happy that they really didn't brake through here in Finland as it's much more fun to watch someone else suffer through it, not that I mean you should hehe.

  • neoatg

Impact has been bad real bad . They have even raised the entry ramp so the old fart don't brake a hip. I've noticed the older guys always fall onto the entry ramp so I'm not makeing shit up. And they think they can last on monday WWE laughs in TNA's face.

I can't even watch Impact anymore but it's the only thing sort of entertaining on at that time. I really hope something else come on or I find something else to watch but I haven't yet. And I'll be watching WWE on mondays but that still leave my thursdays without TV.

  • policeboxtraveler

    Hey…you cut your hair! XD

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Clifford-Raymond/100000507796831 Clifford Raymond

Honestly, I didn't watch Impact, I gave it plenty of chances, and I won't watch it again unless something drastically changes. At least Impact gave me some entertainment in the form of your rant, and this is probably the most angry I have ever seen you. Your torture is our entertainment, thank you for that at least. If you want wrestling, watch DragonGate USA, the matches are top to bottom amazing, you deserve to enjoy real wrestling.

  • taranaich

I normally defend TNA as much as I can simply because I like a lot of the guys in it, but it's been really testing me since Hogan came in. After last week, I didn't watch this show. Orlando Jordan beating Samoa Joe – clean – in UNDER THREE MINUTES!?! No. I didn't even see the ninja kidnapping, I just turned it off in disgust.

Now I heard Desmond Wolfe jobbed… in less than two minutes. I'm genuinely angry about that. I mean, normally you can talk about histrionics, but this actually set me off. That is really, unbelievably stupid. We've already seen Daniels job to Angle, Joe job to Jordan, and the Pope to Jordan too a few weeks back. While the Nasty Boys, Hall, Waltman, Val Venis et al have competitive matches and airtime. Bull.

The moment when you were talking about Jarrett, I was actually concerned, because I could tell that you were genuinely angry. No screaming, no hysterics, no gesticulating to the camera: just that expression of utter contempt as you ripped the microphone off. I was momentarily worried. Hell, if I actually watched this week, I'd probably have had to go for a walk myself.

It's infuriating how TNA can have solid and compelling wrestlers like Styles, Joe, Daniels, Wolfe, Pope, MCMG, Beer Money, Doug Williams, Lethal, Creed, Homicide, Kaz, Kendrick, Young, Hernandez, and decent enough guys like Rhino, Shark Boy, Tomko, Stevie, Magnus and others, only to waste them.

I will say (and this is the ONLY defense I'll make of this wretched show) that there's a slight – slight – possibility that the ring isn't actually giving Abyss superpowers: it could just be the Magic Feather effect. The confidence gives him the belief that the ring is giving him powers, but it isn't really infusing him with the power of the Hulkamaniacs.

… I'm giving them way too much credit, aren't I?

  • bdrone

    …Spoony, man….

That… was Suffering. you must have the record now for reviewer pain. it was so absurdly bad, when I did laugh, i knew it was twisted laugher. Thank you for this Vlog… but wow…

    and thats an AVERAGE TNA….

  • Booze Zombie

    HALL?! HALL?!?!?!

    Fucking priceless, Spoony, priceless.
I don't think I've laughed that hard in a while.

I probably would've laughed more if I watched more wrestling, but it was funny none the less.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1143553858 Paul McKenzie

i love this, you should do this format again sometime, was great to get your reactions to things as they happened. I dont follow wrestling anymore, but i love your reactions and comments. Well done

  • Kevin_Holsinger

Good morning Spoony and fellow Spooners.

Haven't watched wrestling since I was a kid (and I'm 32), but it's Spoony. So I kind of have to watch.

    1. I'd like to note that the Randy Savage impersonation was spot-on. I can easily imagine that it's only a matter of time before Spoony Savage shows up in a review of something non-wrestling oriented.
    2. It's sounding like TNA is the Bizarro-version of “Clones of Bruce Lee”, which was mostly action with little plot or drama.
    3. Don't know if this happened with anybody else, but at the start of the last three minutes of the video, it cuts off. And the screen (not my entire monitor, nor the entire website) goes haywire. But all in all, a pleasant experience.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jonathan-Dalton/1850053660 Jonathan Dalton

I don't even watch wrestling but listening to you mock all the garbage that was going on there and I found it rather amusing

  • lostsorcerer

Well, maybe it says a lot when a guy who just went through an 8.8 asks You for support., Spoony. It still just Boggles my mind what an eight point Eight is even like

  • neoatg

It's near the end now and Spoony in responce to why are we watching this. You made this funny and I was very entertained. You should make this a series “Spoony watches wrestling”. Where it's just you watching wrestling and commenting on it as this was real good. Cut down the time but other then that this was good.

  • lostsorcerer

Ill say this: Spoony Experiment TNA Anonymous.
I know someone is going to yell at me for that one

  • Rumuwi

I never watched a full episode of wrestling but this was still entertaining to watch all the way through.

  • policeboxtraveler

Jesus XD nearly TWO hours later and…oh man you're seriously telling me that they are going to put Hogan and Flair in the ring?!?! What are they gonna do? Hit each other over the heads with their walkers? OK, that's not fair but STILL. Is the only thing they can do is use the nostalgia factor to keep people watching? This…this isn't wrestling. I hate to say it but I can remember the days when they wouldn't talk at ALL. They would run to the ring and start hitting the other guy and they would have to RACE to ring the bell XD Now we have like 90% talking and the rest is weak matches…damn…

  • ThomasMink

I was a bit worried about this format when you announced it, but you know.. your charisma is more than enough to hold someone through this. I really dunno why, but I found this amusing to watch when I probably shouldn't have.

I'll just stick with watching nostalgic wrestling shows from my youth on YouTube and DVD. Probably a bit more worth my time, and the guys actually knew how to wrestle and entertain. Well, most of them anyway.. ok, about half of them. The old guys are better to watch in their primes, or at least a bit closer to them.. watching them today is just bad. I can just imagine the Nasty Boys today, let alone Scott Hall.. ugh.

  • DoubleAgent74

Technically, I don't think Awesome Kong was fired; she was suspended for not going on the recent UK tour, which she didn't do partly because of the Bubba thing and partly because she took issue with how much TNA was paying her. Her profile is still up on the TNA website.

Good God, am I glad I watched the Olympics on Thursday.

  • Rorro75

Spoony, I've been following your videos and reviews for a long time, your videos always make me laugh and I always en up entertained, however, I had never posted in any of your videos, but I feel compelled to because I'm a chilean. Abyss i tradgic….Abyss was a monster…not a freaking superhero…Read somewhere that hogan want to make Abyss Tna's anwser to cena…yay!…

Abyss was at his best at the side of the Embassy in ROH…espesally in the STeel Cage warfare match…

omg your hair.. it's cut O.O

  • DerKork

Thanks, Spoony. Thank you for endangering your sanity, suffering through the talking, the sub-par action (if any).
Honestly, there were moments where I felt you need a shoulder to cry on – and man, I can understand that. It must have hurt – physically and psychially.

So, yeah, thank you again. I honestly appreciated that.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Benn-Crawford/501266663 Benn Crawford

That was golden. In some ways better than some of your scripted stuff.
It sounds fucked up, but half watching you (was playing a game at the same time) go through a range of emotions naturally while watching this tripe was damn entertaining.

  • lostsorcerer

On Ric Flair, there's a running gag between my group of RPers that he might be the only wrestler who Wants to die in the ring. One day, probably MANY years from now he'll do the flair flop and someone will pin him and no one will realise he's dead!
Everything in the show will still go on and people will wonder why he isn't climbing out of the ring!

And Spoony when you're trying you are freaking scary, my friend!

  • KiiWii

Watching you freak out and occasionally break into light sobbing is way more entertaining than it should be =P
God bless you, you wonderful man.

I've just passed the hour mark and i can honestly say i've not laughed this much in MY LIFE to ANY online show EVER.. Spoony.. you went OFF THE HOOK off your rocker and I LOVE IT i fucking LOVE IT hahaaa

  • http://www.tashabennett.blogspot.com/ Natasha Bennett

My heart and best wishes go out to the people in Chile. I live off the B.C coast, and, yeah, we're high-risk for an Earthquake. There's been a couple of minor ones (3.0-4.0) in my lifetime, and those were terrifying. :(

  • shinea_iggy

ok, first of all, awesome vlog, i always enjoy watching them, and this one was especially hilarious. I literally had to pause at the part where you were discussing samoa joe's kidnapping by ninjas becuase i was laughing so hard i couldn't hear what you were saying.
second of all, i will admit, i haven't really ever watched a full episode of TNA, or really much of an wrestling. Its never really been my thing, i'm more of a gamer. Honestly I only know one or two other girls that have even heard of Impact besides me. The most i've really ever watched was when one night i was in the waiting room at the hospital with a consussion, and TNA was on the television. From the sounds of it thank dog i don't remember any of it becuase this show sounds like absolute crap. However, i must be a major masochist, because watching your couple of vlogs about the show has me intrigued, and i am actually PLANNING to sit and watch the show. It may suck, I may even have to sit down and have a good cry right a long with you…

  • GreekJR

Why don't you post a link to a charity for Chile after every video and after every 2 videos post a standalone link.

  • http://twitter.com/daremusik daremusik

Okay it got a bit boring by 70mins and Spoony you're a bit TOO into wrestling (not a fan, never have been, never could be hehe)

  • JR14

hey spooony btw the tsunami that was created by that earthquake hit the bahamas and it also hit russia.

  • KidMagnum

Dude, I agree and disagree with you. TNA is at its lowest point…ever. They have been better than WWE before and honestly with the hog wash disney channel bullshit that WWE has been throwing at us (NXE being quite possibly the worst wrestling program since GLOW, oh yeah, 80s womans wrestling FTW), TNA is still better…with matches.

    HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what in the blue spoony hell they are doing with the story. It's like 16 different plot devices with no rhyme or reason. At least WWE has a beginning, middle, and end. Yes it's unwatchable and insulting to us “INTELLIGENT WRESTLING FANS” (<3 Sheiky baby), but at least it makes sense. Really, TNA needs to do something with there writers and switch is up. Because while there matches are incredible, the stories are terrible.

    Oh…AND FIRE HULK HOGAN!!!

    FUCK THE HULK HOGAN!!!

Cheap plug: For more insight on the world of TNA and other of my personal rants, be sure to check out my Youtube page at http://www.youtube.com/kidmagnum

Spoony, I hope you read the comments, because I’d like you to see mine.

Before I go into my little comment about the video itself, I’d like to say that I’m amazed people like Bishoff still have jobs in the wrestling industry. I used to watch WCW back in the nWo days, and it was terrible (like what you said, it was what I flipped to when WWF (at the time) was on commercial.) I mean, I’ve written better wrestling matches back in elementary school than what you describe being put on television.

That being said, I hope you took the time to watch yourself when you cut this together to be put online. Why? Because this was almost surreal to watch. You could sell this video to college psychology classes. Watching you start as your usual snarky, yet mostly upbeat self, slowly descend into incoherent, frothing at the mouth, rage and exasperation was almost unsettling. The cuts between those moments of blind, screaming rage and the post-cooldown were hilarious, but also unsettling.

I assume your brother wasn’t in the house because I think, if he was, we would have seen you being hauled off by the men in white by the end of it. If not, then at least your bro walking in and beating you with a shoe or something to stifle the screams. :)

  • theonesin

I have no idea why I sat through all that, or why I've sat through the previous wrestling rants. I USED to be a fan….maybe 10 years ago? I haven't watched it in AGES! Even so, I still find these rants entertaining. Maybe it has a nostalgia effect on me.

  • Bloodyrose

Another origin story for Dr. Insano…Spoony watching way too much TNA.

  • PatMan33

I enjoy these videos immensely for one reason. When I was younger all of my friends loved wrestling and spent their time talking about how great it was. And that was all well and good except that I didn't like wrestling and was subjected to all sorts of weird and silly stories.

Seeing you tear wrestling apart makes me feel vindicated. :P

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Christopher-Alden/100000469737019 Christopher Alden

I've been in a 7.3 earthquake… not fun. Of course, the buildings here in California are retrofitted for it.

I don't even watch Impact anymore. The stupidity of Hogan's buddies going over all the talent I actually like pissed me off too much for me to actually watch it.

  • llimar263

I can only imagine what his brother is doing while all this is going on.

  • Paper_Banjokami

Hey! We're wearing the same shirt, except mine is Purple.

  • http://twitter.com/daremusik daremusik

    hahaaa

  • amishman

wow you can actually see as TNA goes on the more insane Spoony gets

  • sebasnadilo

I know this has nothing to do with the video but I just finished playing the Starcraft 2 beta test and there is a terran unit that talks like Arnold…so funny the first impression was ok. Have you play it?. Coming to the reality yes the people from Chile are in a bad situation right now only 10 days to the new goverment….been so close to CHile (Argentina) i sent you all good Karma from Arg…Saludos desde Argentina

  • GunarmDyne

I demand a “BUT HE WAS ABDUCTED BY NINJAS!” t-shirt. XD

  • CountEsco

That was the best vlog evar. Seriously.

Took 90 minutes to watch this, but I was playing Silent Hill 2 at the same time, so it went fast.

BTW, since you're outing yourself as a wrestling fan, this has been bugging me… is it just me, or does your theme song sound a lot like Sean O'Haire's entrance music during his “devil on your shoulder” gimmick?

Wow..that was tragic, ugly, funny, and beautiful. fuck the blackest night emotional spectrum this is Spooniest Night it's Requiem for a Wrestling Fan. Great watch, and dare I say that this be some skronking?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Christopher-Alden/100000469737019 Christopher Alden

Speaking of Darkest Night, I want to see a Hulk Lantern show up in one of Spoony's videos.

  • Anonymous

“i’m not wearing pants(…) impact” xD epic i thought i am gonna die from laughter when you started screaming maniacally “wrestle !” and then started talking about ninjas in a van. I never in my life have i seen a full wrestling match but this v log was really entertaining :). Have a nicer night next time its unhealthy to spend it like that, you will eventually break your foot on thous stairs… again ;).

Hell hath no fury as an Internet Wrestling Fan…

Man, is so frustrating to be a Wrestling Fan this days… God bless Puroresu…

  • They Call Me The Fizz

Truly this is the fall of WCW all over again…

I attempted to watch this week's Impact and cracked after the Nasty Boyz/Team 3D rematch… You're a stronger man than I, Spoony… You could honestly subtitle this video “Two Hogans, One Ring”

I sincerely hope that someone takes this video and syncs it up with that episode into some sort of Rifftrax
or be featured in the next Botchamania

  • topopox

Man, I watched 2012 the night before Chile had the earthquake & in the same night some tremors arrived at my neighborhood(Santiago del estero, Argentina), it's like one of the creepiest things that ever happened to me in my life…
I send blessings to Chile, so that they can have better days in the future.

BTW, Nice vlog Spoony, You Rock!

  • Poipoi

Its a clear sign Spoony's mind been fried when he announces ” I'm not wearing pants. “

I think its time for Spoony to get out of the house and just wander a mall for sanity's sake.

  • aussieaussieaussie

I only have on problem with one thing you said and it's hall could work back in the day (even I didn't like him but he could work great back in the day he did make ppl look like a hundred bucks with his selling) and the outsiders were one of the greatest tag teams of the 90's if not the best.

    I agree with everything else.

Also the tna when Booker t and Nash were on the announcing team and was better then any of this years wwe shows should check it out.

  • Unrelented

Spike.com apparently has full episodes of TNA. You could always embed that, stick an audio file underneath and do it rifftrax style :).

  • Poipoi

Actually, That would so rock as a T-shirt!

    • http://gunarmdyne.blogspot.com/ Gunarm Dyne

When I first heard it I immediately connected it with something nonsensical and random to use during arguments much like the NC’s “I was frozen today!”

  • johnnyfog

Hey Spoony, you do realize that TNA hands out those signs for the fans to hold up, right? “HALL RULZ” was a plant. ;)

  • JoeRamirez

I love watching these wrestling reviews. They're so fucking hilarious. Please review more.
Additionally, for a good laugh, you should check out http://www.pwrshow.com. The Pro Wrestling Report is a wrestling news program dedicated to such abominations as Impact, Raw and Smackdown. You thought you were nerdy, THESE GUYS DO NOT HAVE A LIFE.

  • http://bwmedia.wordpress.com/ ShadowWing Tronix

I sat here watching as you did nothing but complain about a wrestling show–and it was frickin' hilarious! Seriously, I was just going to have it in the background while I did some stuff, and found watching the VLog more interesting. Talk about putting yourself through torture for the audience. I think you did that as much as the wrestlers did (or used to).

I stopped watching wrestling a long time ago for a number of reasons, but my dad still watches now and then. It saddens me when the story, which used to set up the matches, now have become more important than the matches. When some folks commented that wrestling was like soap opera for guys, I don't think they meant that to be this literal!

SAMOA JOE WAS KIDNAPPED BY NINJAS!

ARE YOU A BAD ENOUGH DUDE TO RESCUE SAMOA JOE?

  • Lyserg0Zeroz

Chile's earthquake wasn't near as bad as Haiti's one was (the reason: Better constructed houses and building) as far as I know there is 200something people who have died for cause of this and 100something people who have dissapeared, some have lost their homes too, and there's too many people who still fear another earthquake. It's really bad, but is thankfully far less than the damage caused in haiti. In some families, there were no damage made at all, just some minor stuff like material possession (luckily mine is one of those families). There have also been problems on markets, there are huge waiting lines just to buy bread, but that's not really that important.
In a day like this, I just would really like to enjoy some good entertainment like the one you're providing… BTW you're the first internet celebrity that I see aknowledging the earthquake.
    Thanks Spoony for aknowledging us.
And, thnaks for the frekin' funny video xD

  • ThingInTheCoat

I'm just ten minutes in, and the idea of Hulk Hogan giving a Ring of Power to someone in order to forge them into a wrestling god has me choking on dry, soundless laughter.

  • Anonymous

lol. Too bad TNA can’t rename themselves to TNT, since the latter name is already taken by a TV channel

  • necrosmash

Whenever your face was close to the camera, I could see the pain in your eyes, Spoony. Maybe you should give Impact a break… for the sake of your health.

  • thedickster

Ya know, after all the problems in the world and especially Chile's issue, my commentary might seem lost and minuscule. I just can't keep myself from stating my opinon.
I can't follow along because I hate Wrestling… Though I enjoy hearing you rant, wrestling should be… Eh, I don't know, I'm not one to say what YOU should do, but I really wish you'd stay away from these sort of subjects. It's great for the amounts of times you've done it, but… that's it… The fans that want you to suffer through stuff we already know is shit, are complete morons. I'd like to agree with your earliest statement that you rather do review videos, I'd rather support you on that.

  • icewinds

Spoony, I can see in your eyes you feel for the people who died in Chile, you don't look like you really feel in the spirit to make this video. And this is good. These last times there is really no mood to anyone laugh. In these situations I see how we are like insects in the ''hands'' of world. Like ants smashed by a hand.

This, and the Avatar VLog have been some of the most enjoyable things on the site.
I don't even like or tolerate wrestling and found this very entertaining.
    Good show Thine Spoony One.

i just have to hope not to see this dubbed in portuguese like WWF was.

  • http://www.facebook.com/heirofsparda Nate Anderson

I started watching wrestling again right around the same time you started doing these wrestling Vlogs, and I LOVE IT! I love how you see the same stupidity in the show that I do when I watch it.

  • Cthulhu07

It seems TNA is going down in the same way WCW did years ago. Then again, what else can you expect, when you've got egomaniacs like Hogan, Russo and Bischoff running the show….

  • threadweaver

You know, I think you could sell this video as the “Mental Breakdown of a Modern Man”, and have it be considered artistic.

  • threadweaver

So, TNA Impact sounds like Clockwork Orange material.

TNA Impact: Banned under the Geneva Conventions.

  • dennett316

I was channel surfing and caught the end of the Hall/X Pac beatdown when they sprayed “4 Life” on Eric Young…and I simply couldn't believe there are people that actively seek out and watch that show. Worse than that, there are those who mock the WWE and it's product in comparison to this crap with a straight face.
    Couple of points of disagreement…
    1) Hall was great in the WWE as Razor Ramon, his matches with Shawn Michaels in particular were fantastic.
    2) Danielson being paired with the Miz is a genius idea. The WWE has big plans for Danielson and placing him with the Miz gives him an interesting storyline right off the bat. The WWE has even gone to great pains to mention how long he's been in the business compared to The Miz, and they very rarely mention that new talent has previous history elsewhere when the debut. And frankly, The Miz is massively over as a heel thanks to his abundance of charisma – the man can definitely cut a promo – and that is an area where Danielson himself acknowledges his weakness.
    3) You forgot part of the Kong/Bubba story. Hogan appeared on Bubba's show to discuss the situation and they ragged on Kong being unprofessional, how she jumped Bubba while he wasn't looking, and how Bubba didn't want to fight back because he'd be vilified for hitting a woman. They then went on to say it was due to Kong being on the rag……that classy Hogan.
    4) Oh, and Hogan apparently thinks that Abyss is the next John Cena . . . . . .word fail me.

Great Vlog, I'd rather watch you suffer through Impact than actually watch it myself. Thanks Spoony.

  • calibandonflamingo

    Yay Im hardcore

Is it wrong that I prefer these long rantings and commentaries over actual reviews? anyways are you going to review wrestlemania 26 when it comes out?

  • http://twitter.com/SolarisKnight Michael Antignano

Good to see you supporting the people of Chile, Spoony.

  • awb25mn

I watched your whole review and I liked it. It made me laugh and I hope you continue to do more reviews of bad wrestling shows!!! Oh and just for shits and giggles I looked at Dixie Carter's Twitter and people were posting links to your Vlog so hopefully she gets the message. Keep up the good work man!!!!

  • Anonymous

I don’t know why you keep saying that this video was bad, it seemed hillarious to me.
The Spoony wrestling rants are the best thing on this site in my view.
I hope more like this will follow!

  • neonfox3

    wow…. 90 minutes of pure wow….

  • WilhelmofCoal

That was the Motion Picture of vlogs, it was astounding.
Like a couple of other people mentioned, it looked like you were going through the Ludovico Re-Education Technique.
All I have to say about that video (for the sake of laziness) is that you are astounding at working improv.

    Keep up the good work.

I honestly loved this. The part that made me laugh was when you screamed “WRESTLE”.
I think you should just get a collab of all the worst scenes of TNA (And maybe other wrestling shows if you so choose) and go over them like this. I don't think any true fan cares about the length, I sure didn't, and all the other comments I read didn't seem to.

well, i lasted 9 min in this vlog before i felt that tna is too stupid too watch.

  • lostsorcerer

After this, I have to see the recap of this show. More details later

  • Anonymous

omg this fucking hilarious, i guess your pain is others glee ^^ sorry

but anyway i had a strange idea while i was watching this…. what if someone tried to break the wrestling mold with something new, i mean like crazy over the top fighting, with actual stunt fighters and what not, crazy outfits and over the top finishers where the wrestlers yell the moves… you know kind like in fighting games. it would be funny and awesome, with only some story…

for example i know Anime isn’t your thing but there’s this wrestling one that i remember watching as a kid. i’m not sure how well it aged but the fights here are what i think when i think TOTAL NON-STOP ACTION… you know or DBZ… but yah. i think you should check it out, its called Ultimate Muscle preferably watch the unedited one, japanese if you can take it, i think you might enjoy it… and if you don’t care about story skip a few episodes in so to get past the backstory and what not
its a little silly but i think it might rub off on you the right way. make a shout out if you think this would be a good adaptation to a real show or watever in your next vlog (just like a few seconds i’d really appreciate it) if you even try out the show let alone read this

all right keep on doing what your doing ^^

  • Adell

This was one of the funniest reviews of wrestling I've ever seen.

  • Il Principe

Actually, Spoony, the suffering you endure is what makes it worth the watch. The pure resentment and desperation just lightens the day.

Thanks a lot, I really enjoyed it. And by the way: Scott Hall DOESN'T rule! No rulage!

I watched the whole thing Noah. TNA sucks the big one.

  • http://twitter.com/genj1 Anton Söderberg

I could listen to you talking forever, something about the way you speak just compells me, but this wrestling stuff is kind of boring. I can still watch the whole video no problem, but it's my least favorite subject by far. It wasn't a problem at first but now it's like “Wrestling – AGAIN?”.

    Great video though! :D

  • shadowdancer21b

I think I have an idea why they don't wrestle! They don't have enough dough for their medical insurance premiums so no one can be taking too many risks! AH-HA!

  • Necromas

Ouch man at least know that for all your frustration I at least enjoyed the rant, even made it to the end!

About Chile, damn, I don't even know how to react to this stuff except just find a place to donate and be thankful for what I have.

  • zerorequiem

Wow i cant believe it but i actually just sat and watched this twice

  • lostsorcerer

LOL, Well with wonderfully durable wrestlers like Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Jeff Jerret, X PAC aka Chyna's loveslave, Hogan, and Ric Flair it's surprising they can contain all the Nonstop action flying around the ring

  • lostsorcerer

Observation as watch this impact: You know for a man Literally in his 60s, Ric still at least Talks like he's right back in the old days. Screw putting him onscreen , though it's great. Put him in the back and teach these kids how to play a /Character/

God knows why Im watching this, maybe to actually see the car wreck. Maybe out of disbelief that wrestling could cause that kind of damage. Ill keep you guys updated as I watch ( I missed the Hulk lantern war scream before the opening scroll, unfortunately. I actually Wanted to see that )

  • SleepingHero

I don't know anything about Wrestling, but I find these vlogs hilarious! I never tire of these, there's just something that amuses me. It could be your breakdowns or the sarcastic (and hilarious) comments, but nevertheless, I'll never skip one of these vlogs.

Also, ninja abductions of samoan men? That needs to be elaborated, stat!

  • lostsorcerer

Also, Why is abyss wearing underwear on his head as his mask? Did I miss something?
    Sorry for all the posts

  • Quicksilver_the_Archangel

Spoony, I think you need some crazy/happy pills for ANY wrestling watching from now on. xD I do enjoy listening to Vlogs, even if it's on a subject I don't know/don't care about, becuase I like

    a. having background noise while I work

    b. giving you money via watching your videos

So, Vlogs allow me to do both at the same time! =D

  • lostsorcerer

As much degrading and Retarded gimmicks and stories he's gone through, I still have respect for Foley.
Why arent him or Ric just saying ENOUGH! You payed us how ever millions to stay, shape up or we quit!

I mean if TNA really wants to be like WCW why not go full bore for it?

  • http://www.facebook.com/joe.kerr1 Joe Kerr

Thanks Scarlett youre an angel, thanks Spoony youre a saint mate.

  • lostsorcerer

Okay Dudley Boyz vs Nasties just ended. Im a bit of a mark for the Dudleyz myself, and are happy to see them wrestle again.

On the match itself, for a hardcore match it was pretty boring honestly except for seeing Ray and D-Von again. There isnt much I can add that Spoony didnt already cover. Im sorry this is filling the crap out of the comments and is nowhere as entertaining as Spoony's journey into the heart of darkness.

  • mutough

This whole situation with the Hogan ring would have worked if it weren't for the handcuff break and all that shit. Just inspiring him to press on and start winning matches, that would've been a better angle. But no, it ACTUALLY gives him super powers. Vince, Eric… Come on.

  • lostsorcerer

Okay, I have a question for everyone here who watches wrestling. Does the WWE references and the big pushes they've done to their product seem to coincide a little too well?
Maybe this is me, but maybe WWE is putting some money Into TNA to create competition, like WWE did with ECW all those years ago

  • lostsorcerer

……….ugh…… The thing is, this sint causing me pain ,..At all! but its just so boring. Im sorry if this isnt particularly exciting but god, this is just …well Bluh

    NINJA KIDNAPPED SAMOA JOE?!?!

    BELIEVE IT!!!

  • lostsorcerer

  • lostsorcerer

  • http://twitter.com/Grumblecakes Erik Bartsch

Wow, I watched this whole thing and was thoroughly entertained throughout. It's kinda how I've felt about all wrestling for the last 8 years or so.

  • MrZer0

once again…I'm glad I got out of wrestling when I did but Spoony, the fact that you can do nothing but talk for as long as a feature length movie and still be interesting speaks VOLUMES on how charismatic you are

  • lostsorcerer

Okay , skipping most of the talking the show is finally over… and I have to say some parts were pretty fun to me. But as a brand I feel very bad about it. The entirety of their sell is on old talent with No respect for their own guys or their own niche.
And the sad thing is they Have a great niche, if they'd use it.

Sorry Im just venting a little, I think it has some potential. More than WCW ever did in wrestling talent, but why go back to these old geezers. We Know trying that doesnt Work!

come on guys, I can kinda understand Team 3d , I can kind of understand Flair, but why Foley?? Why Hall and Nash? Why freaking Hogan?!?!

Now this was my first Impact ever. Ive only kept up with it through friends that watch it. I mean, its not as bad as WWE-ECW but as I said this is just kind of Boring. Honestly, I kind of zoned out for a while through some parts.
Are the PPVs better? Can someone else who watched give more input?

  • http://twitter.com/toodarkpark Park Boyer

Now while you could sit and rant about a piece of stale bread and still manage to make it amusing, I have to ask: why? Why oh why do you siphon the moments of your life into this thankless, foetid abyss of garbage? I'm talking about TNA/here, not the internet.

I used to love it at one time myself, heck, I grew up watching all the greats! But nowadays, and for a number of years, its just been garbage that's not worth bothering with. So why do you subject yourself? And for that matter… the same goes for the rest of you! Stop watching this trash and it might go away.

  • lostsorcerer

Again, Im sorry guys . but I didnt want to just agree TNA sucks or comment Spoony's descent into insanity Lovecraftian Style. I wanted to see this for myself, and show another viewpoint on it. I really didnt intend for a lot of it to basically be parroting Spoony's comments.

but I will say, getting your mates together for Impact is probably fun, if only to MST3K it
    *Lost sorcerer shuts up now*

  • dennett316

I highly doubt it. They did that with ECW to soften the blow of them taking talent like RVD, Taz and the Dudleyz. There's been no such influx of talent from TNA, it's all gone the other way.
The thing is, TNA really needs to get it's act together because there needs to be a number two promotion to provide competition, an alternative place for wrestlers to work and the kick in the ass McMahon needs to buck up his ideas.
Hogan and Bischoff are not the answer, nWo light are not the answer, AJ Styles impersonating Flair is not the damn answer!!!

  • ScutigeraColeoptrata

Wow, that was quite a Vlog.

I don't want to give Spoony a swelled head (like that is likely to happen), but something like this does really show Spoony's talent for comedy. I know absolutely, ABSOLUTELY nothing about wrestling, and yet this was funny and entertaining from start to finish. Considering that this Vlog is feature-length, I can honestly say that it was more entertaining than some movies I have seen. Yeah, I can watch Spoony for two hours staring into a camera talking and be entertained. Like I said, talent. :)

I just watched this whole vlog, and as a lifelong wrestling I found it absolutely hilarious. I agree, TNA is just a train wreck of a promotion.

But I just wanted to say, you did watch NXT right? The WWE is using Danielson very well and his storyline with the Miz is going places. Hell, he held his own in his debut match against the world champion!

I loved this review. I'm a big WWE fan, but I have never been able to get into TNA. The few episodes I tried to watch were just so friggin' stupid. AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Kurt Angle are the only wrestlers I like there. But back to the review…

I laughed so many times, but it was clearly apparent that your sanity was being tested. I'm a huge fan of you, Spoony, but it really seemed like you were suffering through this. It made me feel bad. =( But my favorite moment was…

    “…wrestling. Wrestling! WRESTLE!! WRESTLE!!!!!!!!!!”

  • misterkeitel

SpoonyOne- This was lots of fun. I watched the whole thing and found it very enjoyable. I neither know nor care anything about ProWresting (the same for gaming), but I'm a big Spoony fan and just love watching you rant and tell the story about how much you hated this TV show. It was very funny. I played it while I was cleaning up the house and ironing the laundry (listening and watching the whole time). Now, I am a bigger fan of the movie and comic book reviews, but this was really good.

  • http://spencerbedlam.com/ Spencer Bedlam

For someone who claims to “not really watch wrestling” and “only have it on in the background”, you certainly make a lot of videos, have a lot of knowledge and get upset about it an awful lot.

  • MFlorian

Samoa Joe was kidnapped by ninjas. Are you a bad enough dude to go and rescue him?

Seriously, I love hearing you talk about wrestling. Your complete meltdown is all kinds of funny.

I watch this whole video. Spoony I really do feel sorry for you because I remember watching only five minutes of Impact and thought to myself, “God this show sucks.” And the only reason I even watch that episode (which was 3 years ago BTW.) was because Kurt Angle was just starting out there. The sad thing was that I was a big fan of his and now I couldn’t care less about him.

    Nice vlog Spoony,

Watching you lose it was fun…. in a sadistic way. but hell i understand. Wrestling in general has lost its flair. Its like they know everyone knows its fake, so they try to make it more interesting with all the talking. When i was a kid, this used to be real to me. hell a lot of grownups still think its real. Then i found out it wasnt. That changed very little. i still liked the charachters, and the whole fake fighting, it used to be much better choreographed. Somtimes even improvised. Which showed that the wrestlers were doing somthing they like. Nowdays wwe is like an movie action hero recruitment center. All the wrestlers are actors before athletes, hogging the screentime for their acting portfolio. And if they can dish out and take hits realistically, just a bonus.

    Anyways

Fucked up what happend in Chile. 8.8 is pretty devostating. And then Tsunamis in Japan.
Strange shit happening all around the world. 2012?
Or maybe 2012 is the year Tupac finally shows up like: “yeaa, Guess whose back, bitches.” And then a Giant Killer wave crashes on him.

    Keep up the good work!

Hulk Lantern lol, they really have lost it.

Spoony, your commentary was good background noise while I worked on stuff. Congrats on surviving a TNA episode not once, but twice. You should get a medal…or a ring.

By the way, Hogan is 56, not 62. He's no Spring chicken, but he's not quite a senior citizen.

You could just not watch the show. A suggestion.

  • urza22000

wow, thanks Spoony for reminding me of why i stopped watching wrestling. heck even when i watched it it was only for a little while before i turned back to the main show i was watching and I didn't even see that much of Impact early on. However I think you might be able to do a better after show show whatever just to rant and vent.

I don't watch wrestling myself, but here is some stuff I came up with that TNA could stand for based on Spoony's excellent Vlog:

    Talking n' Acting
    Totally Not Awsome
    Total Neural Agony
    Tedious n' Aggravating
    Theres No Action
    Thats Not Appealing

That was f-ing hilarious, I completely pissed myself laughing when you started screaming about ninjas.
They had someone saying controversial crap about Haiti? That's pretty low. I admired what you said about the Chilean earthquake, and you're right about it being unimaginable to go through something like that. Props to you for your support for them :)
As for wrestling, as a Briton we don't have wrestling in the same way as you crazy Americans do. We have Pantomimes. I think that's the closest derivative.
Keep up the good work :) Even non-wrestling fans like me can enjoy you ranting about stuff.

Mathew, the Haiti remark was not part of a storyline. It was Bubba the Love Sponge being a complete imbecile, in real life.

    Hi Spoony.
I usually like what you do, but this wrestling thing is getting a little repetitious.
I'm not saying that I disagree with your opinions, but aren't there other things out there far
    more deserving of your attention?
And no, I'm not a wrestling fan, so this message is not in defense of it.
But it was pretty good in the 80's, though.

Nice words about the quake in Chile, by the way!

I want to be a Hulk Lantern. That would be freaking awesome. Can you imagine the Hulk Lantern Oath?

In brightest day or blackest night, brother.
Nobody escapes my 24 inch pythons.
Let all jabronies meet me in the ring brother!
    Beware my power! Hulkamania's might!

Whatcha' gonna do!? Whatcha gonna do when the Hulkamania Corps runs wild on you!?!

  • mrwednesdaynight

Now that Hurricane Helms has been released, maybe he can come into TNA and they can start the Hulk Lantern Corp. For all that Abyss has endured over the years, he is a heck of a sport. A lesser man would have quit by now.

Yes, Jay Lethal's gimmick got old quick and I've only seen it a few times.

What about this show do they expect me to want to watch? Am I going to switch from Raw to Impact to watch Jeff Jarrett make burgers? To see poor Ric Flair and Macho Man impersonators? Do they think I care about Mr. Foley's Shiny New Suit? Samoa Joe getting kidnapped by ninjas might be interesting if someone seemed to care that one of their tops stars was kidnapped by ninjas. I feel sorry for Hall and X Pac that they are broke and a complete train wreck but I really don't want to see them anymore. If they are going to put on a semi-entertaining show, they should follow your suggestion and just put as much wrestling as possible on the show and drop all these horrible storylines.

  • deviousdan

thank you spoony for the shout out , in deed was scary shit i've never experience an earthquake before ,the last one was before i was born in 1986 , i was in viña del mar ( 7 º richter) when it hit , it was like a movie , the sound, everething chakes, shit breaking in every direction , the power was out leaving you in pitch dark, if you want an idea watch this video from a fellow chilean , he was near of where i live

    Oh Spoony…

You just pounded the nail on the head with a 10000 ton hammer. I swear, pro wrestling used to be the best. I remembered guys actually suplexing and pounding the living shit out of each other, and even though sadly, Eddy passed on during a match, we did remember seeing these guys just giving it their all, gruelingly fighting up to be the best around. The adrenaline coursing through our veins as we saw our favorites come out and just battle and win….

Nowdays WWE has been watered down to the near homogenized dredge that is TNA IMPACT, and the matches are just totally lackluster. Even MMA, considered the best in Martial Arts entertainment, is an opinion I consider to be the most overinflated bullshit I ever heard. I'm also pretty sure that MMA's glory days are kinda past too, I did remember seeing matches back in the 1990's that were awesome. But just last week, I saw a match on Spike, and all it was, was watered down crap that just left me bored out of my mind.

Well, luckily, there's always Lucha Libre, Pro Wrestling Japan, old matches, and I play No More Heroes 1&2 just to relieve the actual excitement these shows used to have.

But at the same time, I slap myself for such things. It really, REALLY is bad. I watch it now BECAUSE its so insane. I just laugh my ass off the whole time.

ABYSS SMASH! I am waiting for it.

I really liked this 'live' review format thing you had going here.

You should do that with a movie sometime when you get writer's block. You could just film yourself watching the whole movie, cutting in the clips later.

    Ninjas! Kidnapping! TV!

Spoony, I just want to say, as a die-hard fan, (apperently since I watched this whole V-log, all the way through!) :P that I really love and appreciate you, for putting up with this…. this collective pile, of mind-numbing, intellegence raping, I-can't-even-come-up-with-enough-words-to-describe-it, piece of shit called TNA.

I could go into a huge thing about how I agree with you, on so many levels, go into the history of TNA, and give points on where they went wrong, or iddeas in what they should have changed, but such is a mute point. You don't get enough credit, for the pain you put yourself in, all for the sake of entertaining your fans! You have volumes of other things, better things, constructive things that you could be doing, instead, you spend your time making video reviews… on one of the worst wrestling organisations in the history of of the business! For this, I thank you! From the bottom of my heart, I feel you pain! I just sat through this whole review, the like, 1 1/2+ hours that it was, when I could have been doing so many other things. I feel violated, hearing whats been going on, so I can only imagine how bad you must feel, having to watch it, not once, but twice!!!

Spoony, thank you! From the bottom of my heart, and I would like to say I speak for all your die-hard fans, thank you!
thank you for taking this mound of unspeakable excrement, and making it entertaining! That takes true magic, and mastery of humor! You have a gift, and you get hurt trying to use that gift sometimes, and I can only give my condolences for the emotional raping you've endured. My only gift I can give, is my heartfelt, and un-dying appreciation for your time, your talent, and your unique craft of entertainment.

    Thank you, Spoony. :)

OK, I just have to ask. X-Pac grabbed a piece of wood out of the garbage at one point. If he had set that on fire, would it be X-Pac heat?

Anyway, holy shit, I just watched 1 hour and 30 minutes of Spoony… and it honestly dragged at some points. Usually I would say your videos are total nonstop action (heh), but apparently when you hit the 95 minute mark, you might need to trim it a little more. Other than the poor pacing though, that was just great.

I can't wait for the shitstorm that's going to hit Dixie Carter's Twitter, now that you've linked it. Hopefully you get a match of this!

This was awesome. I just watched the whole thing. Please do more of these because it was entertaining. TNA wasn't that bad last year. They got rid of the main event mafia and we started seeing the young guys putting on awesome matches. We had angle vs. wolfe and aj vs. samoa joe vs. daniels. It was really looking like a bright future for TNA. Unfortunately, Hogan showed up and ruined everything. DAMN IT!!!

Holy mother of god…a ninety-minute rant and I watched the whole thing. Flew by too. I actually sat through that very same show, and you're right, there wasn't ten minutes of actual wrestling. Thought we were going to lose you to the funny farm for a minute there. I enjoyed the hell out of this…but for your own sanity, I think you need to find something else to rant about. TNA is just WCW 2.0, and will not likely exist in two years now that Hogan and his buddies run the ship.

Totally agreed on the Nasty Boys as well. They have no business being employed anymore.

The difference between Chile and Haiti is that Chile has some very strict building codes (most notably due to being hit with around 13 earthquakes since the 70s). This is why the death toll is extremely low in comparison to what it could have been. Still, even one death is one death too many.

  • Reika

The highest earthquake I have been in was a 6 pointer here in WA…but that was about 8 years ago. But WOW, an 8 pointer. Damn…words escape me.

Anyway, I miss TNA when it was on FSN and during the internet stream days. It like since Spike TV picked it up it has been going down hill. So I stopped watching.

WOW. I'm not even a fan of TNA Impact. I'm not a fan of wrestling. I knew none of the names you were slinging around, except for Hulk Hogan. And yet this vlog was absolutely hilarious. I laughed harder at parts of this then I have in a looooooooooooooooooooong time. I actually had to pause the video after the whole “Samoa Joe ninja kidnap TV” thing because I was laughing so hard. Spoony, I want to thank you for this great vlog and apologize that I got so much enjoyment out of your pain. And I happily accept the “Official Fan” status viewing this vlog end to end has given me.

Love your stuff Spoony but I seriously have to disagree with you on the Impact bashing. Yeah the stories are crappy but the quality of the wrestling is far better IMO than what WWE offer these days. As for last weeks Impact yeah it was crappy. But the week before was a lot better. I think the formula with Impact is that every 2nd week the show will suck guaranteed. The way the Abyss story is going he is starting to sound more like the Ultimate Warrior as the weeks go on. Keep it up. How bout an old school wrestling game review?

  • Serenity Frost

I thought for a minute there in the beginning you were going to say 'every time I see something stupid I'm going to be taking this shot of jager' which honestly would have been a much more amusing thing to watch except for maybe the alcohol poisoning about half way through. I bet rampant intoxication wouldn't even make it more bearable.

I think when it comes to TNA it has one major problem, one that has chain reacted into the current mess.

Now this is just me but I think the biggest source of problems comes from Jeff Jerrett. He's still a major shareholder in the company (in real life anyway :P) and he's also a big top wrestler. I think the fact that one wrester is even appearing that he's writing his own stories has opened the door for this self indulgent wank fest for the old guys. It's really all about them.

I'm not saying they all should be gone, but the old guys should be acting like Terry Funk and not like Verne Gagne. They should be Making the next generation, teaching them so they don't have to deal with the same bullshit not holding onto that little strap of gold until your ancient knuckles bleed.
They could still be payed ridiculous amounts of money but they wouldnt have to do the constant work, they could focus on making the new guys better. This Is about 'the next stage of wrestling' isn't it?

  • lostsorcerer

Now I remember why I don't watch Impact. The worst episodes of Raw are GOLD compared to this crap. But what's killing me is that TNA fans are agreeing that 'TNA is gonna dominate!'. Ugh. I'm being a realist about it, but… that is not… I repeat, NOT… gonna happen. Have they noticed that WWE doesn't give two shits about TNA? TNA's trying so hard, but they aren't even on WWE's radar. TNA fans are in denial… *facepalm*

I hate…. I repeat HATE… wrestling, but I love these vlog about it.

Oddly enough, I was at Universal Studios Orlando a little over a year ago and as my friends and I were walking out of the park, a man asks us if we’d like to stay to watch a free taping of a TV show. They say sure, I decide, “Ah, whatever. I’m on vacation, even if it’s something I hate, at least I can say I went to a taping of a TV show.” What a terrible decision that was since the show being taped was indeed TNA Impact.

If Spoony thinks the amount of talking on that show is brutal, imagine being in the audience full of mouth breathers and having to wait a full 10-15 minutes in between EVERY SCENE OF SPEAKING! Not only are we forced to endure the inanity of an episode of TNA Impact, but we are forced to WAIT for said inanity while some schmuck from the company tries to keep the crowd pumped up. And oh ya, they pre-tape crowd reactions DURING THE BREAKS. The matches are shockingly quiet, as are the extended talking sequences. So while nothing is happening on stage, what I can only imagine is producer asks people to “Scream on 3″ or “Boo on 3″. I did neither.

And speaking of the crowd, the studio they film on is shockingly small. They only have bleachers around half of the ring, the other half is an empty void of what I can only imagine is sadness and despair. After trying for the past year to repress these memories, I can’t remember exactly if they have a standing crowd around the entire ring. I don’t think they did. I’m also fairly certain that a majority, if not all, of the signs are made by TNA and handed out to the crowd by staffers. I distinctly remember some people in the standing crowd being handed a sign by one of the employees.

Needless to say, I left before the end of the show. After about 40 minutes (10 of which talking, 5 of a piss-poor excuse for wrestling and 25 of being asking to cheer or boo like a dog by someone who makes far more money than I do), I had had enough. My friend and I left, my other 2 friends on that trip stayed til the end. It was another HOUR before it was finally over. God have mercy on their souls.

Disagree with Scott Hall. He is my favourite. Before he became an alcoholic mess in the late 90s and early 00s the guy used to be awesome. Razer Ramon was great in the WWF. He had some good matches. Especially those with Shawn Michaels. When he entered WCW he also was over as shot and still could do a good match He was massively over and could've been world champ. But much like Jake Roberts, the alcohol got the best out of him. Scott Hall did rule at some point.

That was amazing! There was honestly parts of this where I had to pause because I was laughing so hard. TNA deserved every harsh word you had!

I used to watch wrestling quite a few years ago before Kane took off his mask and the last I remember was when Hogan was Mr. America… after that I lost interest. However, I watched this entire Vlog and loved all 95 minutes of it. It was so simple and your rants and freak-outs were hilarious.

I feel sort of guilty that I’m laughing at your pain, but that was win. I used to watch wrestling as a kid and I usually leave it on while on my computer and I feel for you. The whole pert with the person holding the sign saying “Hall Rules” just made me cringe.
You should make more vlogs like this, but for the sake of your mental health maybe something more enjoyable like Space Mutiny or something. I’ve been a fan for quite a long time and your commentaries/vlogs are usually the most entertaining since you have such amazing improp skills and can talk at length about anything. You are one of those people where we always want to know what you think, whether it be a movie, video game, board game, whatever.

Spoony, I have never watched TNA and thanks to you, I’ll never will.

But man, if that was an average episode of TNA, I would hate to see you after watching a bad episode.

I'm not sure you're supposed to keep on watching this show.
Of course, it's entertaining to watch you suffer. But I'm starting to be afraid for your well being.

  • johnnyv123

I have to say I was surprised that the Nasty Boys could look like they were wrestling at all. Maybe I set such a low standard for them in my mind to see them moving around a bit I was like wow this isn't so bad.

I hope they go the route with the ring was like you had the power inside you all along (reminds me oddly of Space Jam when Bugs Bunny gives the Looney Toons the Michael Jordan juice thats really just water haha).

Also, Scott Hall was a pretty good wrestler at one time although like Nash and guys like that he wrestles the same match every time. I hate Syxx Pac but as an entertainer he's really not that bad. I don't get how you see the good guys losing in a street fight as a “clean” lose. It's a street fight, the exact opposite of clean fighting.

Entertaining to watch though haha hope you do another vlog on Monday Night Wars V 2.0. I pray that TNA was just trying to set up next weeks and future weeks with a lot of story so in the future most of what we see is wrestling.

  • paulbarb

your earlier Wrestling v-logs got me into wrestling, so f*** you for that, ha ha jk. But this has to be your one of your best v-logs to date. the points where you have to turn on your camera to shout at how “they are still fucking talking!” are hilarious. I hope to see more wrestling segments like a review of WrestleMania 26

  • paulbarb

Great V-Log, 2 months ago i would have had no idea what you were talking about but because you actually got me interested in the mayhem known as professional wrestling i did. I loved how angry you were at just the WTF moments of TNA and how the writers think that what they are doing is actually possible. Anywho, great log and I hope you have one on WrestleMania or other WWE

  • paulbarb

good vlog, more wrestling vlogs for the future

  • keshihead

I stuck with this whole entire Vlog, Spoony, AND I downloaded a torrent of the episode in question so I could see everything that was going on and suffer along with you. Holy CRAP was iMPACT lame! About 10 minutes of wrestling, and the rest taken up with nothing but TALKING!!! You watch a wrestling show for the actual wrestling, right? The last time I watched any wrestling was back in 2005 with the WWE PPV New Years Revolution, and that did it for me, I'd had enough.

I think you must be right about those signs for the audience because they are the same every. single. week. If in doubt if you ever watch it on TV look for the striped sign that says 'I flew 6000 miles to see this show' or something like that.

  • http://soldierhawk.wordpress.com/ SoldierHawk

Oh yes, Spoony. You TOTALLY watch this shit so I don't have to–that's how I see it, anyway.

I have to say, my single biggest lol moment was the cut between “thanks, silver fox!” to you holding your head in your hands and shaking you head. I had to pause it I was laughing so hard.

    Well done sir. :D

I've watched this whole thing twice now, and I can honestly say I don't regret spending the 4 hours on it. This is two hours of Spoony goodness from beginning to end. You are at your best when you're reviewing Wrestling Spoony One, it definitely shows that you, like myself, have a passion for wrestling.

I'm just surprised you didn't use any more Sheiky baby references in this one. He must've contacted you and made you HUM-BELL!! lol.

I really want to thank you Spoony for your kind words the catastrophe that struck my country. It was pretty bad as you guessed, we have an entire history of earthquakes here and, to everyone's surprise, we've been expecting this particular earthquake since the one in '85 that also struck us. '85 was nothing compared to what happened here on the dawn of saturday. No one can predict when or where shit like this it's gonna take place, the middle south of Chile, small towns were practically destroyed, people are disappeared and hundreds, so far, are dead.

I really appreciate your thoughts for us, as you noticed, you have several fans here and yeah, we enjoy the heck out of your ramblings, videos and whatever you offer us day by day. Thank you again Spoony for the entertainment you bring us your kind words, thoughts and, of course, laughs. Thanks for bringing smiles to a crestfallen country. I really appreciate it. Peace.

  • amichel

If you want to remember why you fell in love with wrestling in the first place, I recommend going back and re-watching the Macho Man Vs Ricky Steamboat Intercontinental Title match from Wrestlemania III. Best match I've ever seen, and it will never be topped.

  • RPGaholic

Spoony, I must thank you. I'm a long time wrestling fan. Literally a long time fan, like back before Wrestlemania had numbers kind of fan. I have been going regular broadcast TV for quite a while to save money. It's sad to see the state of wrestling like this. I know I get a headache when I try and watch WWE Smackdown at how bad they are, but watching you responding to TNA, man, I feel sorry for you.

  • frontrowgreg

Watching Spoony suffer is much more fun than watching the actual wrestling. You should do a live broadcast so people can follow along with the action.

  • Strelnikov

Starting with the serious stuff: if you want to help Chile, the group “Doctors Without Borders” has sent a team….their website is: http://www.doctorswithoutborders.org and there is a “donate” button on the top center of the page. Specify that you want the donation to go to Chile, because the money goes whereever they need it (and they work all over the world.)

Spoony, Spoony, Spoony….TNA is a man soap opera. No more no less. They COULD do like you want and just have dudes piledrive each other at random; Hell, that's what wrestling was like in the 1950s-60s, but with stats and weight classes, so it was more like boxing than anything else. There was trash-talk and drama, but it was really simple and took no real time away from the match. All this crap that you loathe was concocted to keep people watching because people no longer find the in-ring stuff that interesting (or they would demand “fighting only” shows) and it gives the wrestlers a chance to be on screen and not actually fighting. The problem is that this concocted “drama” now takes up way too much time, but they're stuck with it because they have to fill 90+ minutes of airtime, and airtime is a hard thing to fill. I sat through the entire Vlog, and man, I've never seen you so angry! And all of it is deserved; if they balanced the wrasslin' out with the dimbulb “storyline”, it wouldn't be such a slog.

Being a Californian and having lived through a number of minor quakes I'll tell you what one's like; at first it feels like a commercial airliner is flying over, then the vibration gets faster (so you know damn well it isn't American Airlines), stuff starts moving in your house, you head for a doorway and stand under it and at this point either (a), the shaking stops, or (b), your house begins to crumble under the twisting vibrating strain of the quake. I've only gotten to part a; the huge, Godzilla monstroquake* every seismologist in the state has been predicting would be part b, which is what the Chilians have just gone through. If you want to experience a quake yourself, Spoony, go get a 30 foot trampoline and a refridgerator box. Make the box into a little house with windows and a door, and fill it with breakable objects (no glassware please.) Put the box onto the trampoline, climb into the box, and have two or three friends climb on to the trampoline. When you are ready, have them jump up and down while you cower in the box for dear life. Once the box has ripped apart or all the breakables have been smashed, stop the crew. You have now gone through a fake earthquake.
    ___________________________________________________________

    * This quake would be 8.0 to 9.0 and would cover the length of the San Andreas Fault, which (more or less) runs along most of the cost of Southern California, and the predicton was first made somewhere in the Carter Administration or early Reagan period. Our average quakes run from 2.0 to 4.0, and last from five to twenty minutes. I don't live on the beach (in fact I live nearly thirty miles from the ocean), but I am expecting to have beachfront property once MonstroDeathQuake strikes.

Im hardcore. I had this episode on tape. And I suffered watching this with you….in a sense. I watched impact to follow along with what you where suffering in the vlog. because Im hardcore and that's how I role! OMG watching impact was brutal. too much talking, not enough wrestling…..and then talking…during a wrestling match >_> ugh. and whats that “match” followed by….more talking <_<
That bit where Daffney was beat ODB leg with the broom stick was hilarious. I just love how bat shit insane Daffney is lol.
It was fun watching you lose your mind. If I had watched this w/o hearing you rip it apart. There is just no way in hell Id be able to watch it and keep my sanity….Id rather watch TF2 then watch this. And that is saying A LOT. I hate TF2 just as much as you do, and it has a longer running time then TNA dose.
It sad, the 1st match of the show….thats it, that is all the wrestling you really get to see. It pains me to think that TNA could get any worse then this.

  • http://twitter.com/AmpDivorax AmpDivorax

This may be the best TNA rant I have ever seen in my life. 3 moments in particular stick out in particular that were hilarious, but were also VERY dead on:

    1. Spoony going nuts and saying “WRESTLE!” repeatedly at 46:30 due all the vignettes.
    2. Spoony going nuts due to the “HALL RULES” sign at 49:23.
    3. Spoony going nuts due to NINJAS kidnapping Samoa Joe at 54:30.

Seriously, this is begging for a techno remix.

  • http://www.chaotive.cl/ Ron-Damon

Hi Spoony, i'm from Chile. Thanks for trying to make us laugh down here, specially now when we need it the most. Actually, i haven't seen your video yet, but your post already made me confirm that you are a great guy, and care about your fans or the people that follow and input your show.

I've been watching you and the other guys at that guy with the glasses from over a year or two (who knows??!), and i guess this is like my first post here. I really like the way you comment and critic over games, movies and related stuff… specially PC games. I guess i'm from the same period of time that you are, so everything you say comes right into my memory and love how much irony you get out of this, with all your knowledge and experiencie that is obviously there because you have really played all of this games.

But hey! all that was something that i wanted to say long time ago… as far it goes for Chile's situation i can only say that it is bad… this quake has put the entire country into a test, a trial that nobody really espected, specially for the magnitude it got. In a coupple of weeks there is going to be a new president here running things, and he is of the opposite Party of the current president… all of this have push things slower, and lost focus into the realms problems that desperatly need solution right now.

People are really dying, but the worst is that we have come into a very severe communications problem, because the optical fiber link that goes trought Chile has broken, and this was the main communications line for the majority of Chilean basic coordination services. Also, we didn't need military troops maitaning order in the streets for over 30 years, and we were proud of it… nobody really wanted that happend, but sadly they were needed. Lack of resources in the most affected areas to the south generated riots and looting over the markets, and a danger of civilian mayhem arised.

We are a proud country, and i believe this have been understood and respected for other countries, but we weren't completely prepared… the worst has been not knowing about your family after a quake that was obviously very big, because of it's length and the lack of basic services that followed after it. The earthquake lasted for over 2 minutes, and a full minute of it felt at full strength.

I wasn't hurt nor my house got damaged, but my parents live only at like 60 kilometers from my house, and i couldn't know anything from them until the next day because everything collapsed, including transport and communications. Their apartment ended up unhabitable, and most people left the building, because nobody feels safe anymore in there. We live in Valparaiso and we didn't even have any wounded in our neighborhood. We are not that close to the quake's epicenter (Concepción), but people is still terrified.

Sadly, it will be hard that people at Concepción will be available to see your message, but i'm sure when they could it will make them feel better. We have a long way now to run in Chile, and we will give it our best.. hope the country will arise and we will be able to keep it together and continue progressing to obtain a better life quality.

Well… thanks… and good bye, will try to keep posting some more.

Abyss is doing everything he can to make this angle work. Props to him.

Jay Lethal vs Horace Hogan MUST happen!

Awesome Kong was let go today, so why was her being on a show before she left the company?

She was suspended for slapping the shit out of BTLS.

Why is TNA supposed to pretend that WWE doesn't exist?

AJ and Ric Flair teaming is WIN.

    WHOOOOOO!!!!

    They need Rowdy Roddy Piper!

Ric Flair can cut a promo about shoe laces and have it be the best thing evar.

Why the hell is an interview during a match such a big deal? All over the interwebs people are bitching about this like it's never been done. WWF used to do it a LOT. And instead now Raw just goes to commercial during their matches.

They should get Mr. T on this show to tell them to stop all the jibba jabba.

Hall and X Pac MUST STOP!!

Hate if you must, but Bischoff on the mic is entertaining.

Ninja's in a panel van is awesome.

Ken Anderson is fucking epic. Your mic idea was funny, I wouldn't mind seeing that actually.

Dog tags. Angle has dog tags.

Keep Vince Russo away from ANY belt.

I lawled at X Pacs stupid ass grey suit.

The Jeff Jarrett cooking hour. YES!

    Meh, it's better than NXT.

Ric Flair will still wrestle his ass off.

I hope Abyss gets a red and yellow GL costume :D

Hogan is 56, Flair is 61.

I don't know why I watched this vlog either, but I feel your pain. :)

I enjoy TNA, but it sure as shit isn't perfect.

WCW was pretty f'n good imo, until Russo's title run. The David Arquette thing never bothered me, I thought it was funny.

I can't believe I watched that whole damn thing.

  • Zelengineer

Ya know, after a semi crap day working tech support it's really comforting to see a grown man break down over wrestling. I actually relate to this because I went through the exact same motions two days ago. Not over a customer prattling on about “why does my website say '404'”, oh no, but because I finally marathon watched the anime Trinity Blood and it's haphazard ending resolved into an exact analog to Trigun as though the writers thought no one would've noticed.

This, plus my recent experience proves that enough rage in your system keeps you from dying of the brain aneurysm that obviously had twenty minutes ago.

  • maluku

I never watched Wrestling, but I want more of those Vlogs. They are awesome…
    Just perfect.
    Make it a series.

  • Salenstormwing

Why does the phrase “The President has been kidnapped by the ninjas. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue the president?” come to mind? Yeah, if your President has been kidnapped by ninjas, call the CIA. If your Samoan wrestler has been kidnapped by ninjas, call the cops!

  • twincannon

I could listen to Spoony ranting about wrestling all day. I'm not even a fan, but his descent into madness as he experiences it just cracks me up every time.

  • Random_Ninja_5

    Ninja!? Kidnap Samoa Joe!? >ahem< I wouldn't know anything about that… >ahem<

I don't know what it is about watching Spoony slip into madness and insanity that makes me giggle, but there ya go. Love the video. I used to watch wrestling when I was a younger, but lost interest around the time wcw and wwf joined together to make the wwe. After seeing one of Spoony's vids about RAW, I watched an episode. I only recognised like a third of the people who appeared in the show, and that included the host, Vince McMahon, and Bret Hart. I haven't watched any more because really it didn't re-grab my interest. Even when I was young, I knew it was fake, but at least is was entertaining then. They have no excuse for the crap they put on. The show I saw, at least they had fun with the host – who set off the fireworks and distracted the “wresters” and so on. But I digress.

To give you an answer on who would want to see this talk show disguised as a “wrastling” event… TNA Impact will actually be coming to my town in a couple weeks. I'm not the least bit excited, but my roommate has a friend who has already bought tickets to this crap. He's trying to drag my roomie along. I of course will be busy keeping an eye on Samoa Joe >ahem< I mean, tending my bonsai garden, and will not be able to attend.

Spoony, we love ya. Keep up the good work. A little insanity is a healthy thing – I think.

spoony i beg you beg youuu please make this a weekly thing your first watch of tna you should watch live and do a review ive watched every video you ever made and this is the best ive ever seen i have watched this a couple times and its gets funnier and funnier everytime i watch it … i watch tna and me and my after its over usually talk about how much its bs and pretty say most of the same things you say PLLLEEEAAASSSEE I BEG YOU DO MORE OF THERES !!!!!!!

  • robshaw26

I agree – this should be done more often (obviously every week seems infeasible, and I wouldn't recommend it for Spoony's sanity, unless the site adds a paypal link to help us pay for his therapy). I haven't watched wrestling in a good few years, but I suddenly find myself enthused again – not by TNA obviously, but by Spoony's passion and belief that much better is possible. Bad wrestling needs to be made an example of, and I have never seen it so humorously treated. I'd be interested also in reviews of older wrestling, both bad and good…perhaps a special on how WWF/E got slightly shitter as Vince, Shane and Stephanie MacMahon got too much screentime in the whole MacMahon-Helmsley era…fun for a while, but again a problem of too talk as it wore on.

The Chile earthquake was so strong that there's a news story that it actually speed up the earths rotation slightly and shifted the earths axis slightly.

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35662192/ns/technol…

Shortened the day by 1.26 milliseconds, and shifted the axis by 3 inches.

I dont know if anyone else noticed, the Ninja's that kidnapped Joe, of of them dosent even enter the car again, he just walked off into the iMPACT Zone… and dosent like 2 guards stand and stop people like Mick Foley to enter?…the once who gave The Nasty Boys Pizza?…they should have done something o_O

and Joe is awsome, dont take me wrong, but he looks really weak when he first loses to a bi sexual(dont have anything against you out there!) by a Lungeblower?…the next week you get kidnapped by NINJAS!! in a truck?…and one of them head over to probaly hang with HALL!!! and X-PACS!!! in the SECRET entrance to the Impact Zone!…

Your vlogs never get old spoony, ied watch a 14 hour vlog if you ever did one

  • Drach

it seems as if you have a Wrestling Habit… Like I have a cigarette habit.

  • david86

A lot of people here are commenting that they don't watch wrestling but they find these vlogs highly amusing, so i say to you people: you have to watch TNA to truly understand just how piss poor it can be. You guys can laugh your arse off all the way threw but for us fans of wrestling from the glory days (80's and late 90's) it really is painful, maddening and rediculous and spoony captures that feeling perfectly in these vlogs which is what makes them so enjoyable.

i don't put myself threw it but it would seem spoony is drawn back constantly just to be shit on again and again. typical wrestling fan really. a sense of humour is required

    Damn i miss ECW :-(

  • BryanD

WSX had more wrestling, and that was a 30 minute show.

  • gubercc411

I love your vlogs! YAAAAAAY! MORE!!!!

  • Ithilgore

Yes, it was an hour and a half of you bitching about a terrible wrestling show, but it was hilarious, and well worth sitting through the whole thing.

  • maluku

I just had to watch this a second time, this is just too funny and awesome

  • Renaissance_nerd

I'm so glad you sent this to Dixie Carter Spoony, you crusade on behalf of all wrestling fans.

  • specterm91

That was a fucking feature length rant. THAT is pure awesome. I don't like wrestling, but you're in the right on this one, Spoony. That show sounded beyond awful. How do they expect people to take this shit seriously?

  • The_EK

You hate TNA You will LOVE Botchamania!!

  • Psudaca

I have a few things to say.
First, I didn't watch the entire Vlog, and that's odd because I usually do. I've been checking your website for a bit more than a year now and it doesn't only entertain me but at times it helps me (doing homework I really want to ignore and get over with, when I have to stay awake for some fucking reason, just because I'm feeling a bit moody, etc). I've never posted any comments because I figured that you get enough posts already that one of mine wouldn't have much impact and you probably wouldn't read it. I preferred to stay anonymous and I've done my part by letting others know about your site.
But I felt the necessity to post to this because I wanted to thank you, in a way, for including this bit about Chile. Most people probably skipped ahead, or if they didn't they didn't really care anyways (but that's up to them and a lot of people check your videos so saying everyone in the internet lacks social conscience will be unfair to someone). I'm from Santiago, Chile. I've lived in the US since 2006, and I reside in D.C, because of my parents job. I lived through a lot of earthquakes when I was in Chile, minors and a few that scared the little girl in me. Just to tell you that it would tremble in the night and we wouldn't even bother getting up and doze off right away, and the next day at school everyone would be asking “Did anybody feel the quake or was it just me?”. But it was nothing like this, that paralyzed the country the way it did now, or in 85 or 60, and a lot of people around the world are amazed at the fact that the magnitude of the quake was times stronger than the one in Haiti and there weren't even close as many deaths. You probably already know all the reasons why we were more adept for it, or you can guess.
I've had to deal with the frustration of not being able to do more than just help as a foreigner with donations and twitters, facebook status, and shit like that, and choke to the thought of my country laying in ruins without me being able to get my hands dirty to help my people. Yet, seeing solidarity in any way possible reminds me that anything that can be done will help and that's the most important part. To help based on your capacity.

So, once again, thank you very much for including this bit of information. I would like to ask you a favor, and here you can blow me off and I won't post any type of hate or create an anti-spoony site or anything of that janx. With the level of destruction in Chile the State and local governments won't be able to provide all of the needed supplies, and won't have all of the needed resources to start the building process, and it is at this point where international aid is mostly needed. If your could remind people; if you could, maybe in a couple of weeks or days or whenever you can, make an announcement again about this, please do. In here we're doing as much as we can to be a part of the construction of the country, and I don't say help, I prefer to say cooperate.

Thank you, again! Keep up the experiment.

    Paloma.

  • boylandtheliberator

I love Spoony. He is funny and his party mania video was awesome however, he has recently done a video on the Wrestling show TNA Impact.
Spoony, I hate to say it but you know nothing about Wrestling if you think a ring giving a man confidence is the most ludicrious thing you have ever seen. WWE has in the past given us such delights as a old woman's sagging boobs, a limosine exploding, a old woman giving birth to a hand, Verne Troyer presenting Raw, Incest and the infamous Katie Vick necrophilia storyline.

TNA is a perfectly fine show, I watch it every week because unlike WWE I dont have to pay Sky god knows how much to get it. WWE is like watch a child who should know better playing with stick figures, how much wrestling do you get on Raw? I can answer that you get John Cena, there is a fresh faced wretler I would pay money to see facing Bastita for the 9th time 3 years. Why is this, because it is all politics in WWE, HHH is such a arsehole that he can't allow actual talent to rise above him. If you have never done so go listen to the Pro Wrestling Report, there are a couple of wrestlers who tell you how it is down there.
In TNA that is not the case everyone has a shot at the big time. Look at AJ Styles and his development in the last 6 months, he went from great athete with a little chrisma to one of the best in the business. Look at the Pope, as Elijah Burke he was just another ECW star here he is the most entertaining thing on Impact. Look at Desmond Wolfe, one of the best talents in wrestling, where is Bryan Danielson still farting about on NXT or ECW whatever it is now. Look at Matt Morgan, he has my interest when has WWE ever had any big man who has captured my interest. WWE has done the same shit for 5 goddamn years. I am for one sick of seeing Orton vs triple h, Batista vs cena and hbk vs taker, you know why because I was entertained by that 5 years ago and it is not more entetaining to me now. TNA actually puts on a storyline, yes I agree there in ring stuff needs to be on but people dont want the smaller superstars they want Kurt angle, flair, hogan, hall, nash, x pac, jeff jarrett and Mick foley because TNA has not had that wide of an audience even when they were putting on great in ring product. TNA has been scoring its highest rantings since Bishcoff took over, think why that is the man knows how to run a suuccessful wrestling company.
So opion as they say is subjective, so I think you are entitled to your opinion however as amn ho enjoys roh and tna, I think you need to go to a live show apparently these are good wrestling shows. I went to see TNA when it came to the UK and it was a good wrestling show.

I love this review. I don't even really don't understand the concept behind wrestling shows (we don't have them in Belgium, but I guess it's about badly dressed man-children hurting each other badly to entertain people, right?). But Spoony freak-outs are so cute, and boy is this mother of all unholy freak-outs. I don't understand half of what he's saying, but don't you just wanna give the poor dude a hug and a sammich?

  • Colme

Sir, after watching this, I looked up TNA footage, having no wrestling knowledge myself, to understand. To call this good by any means is ridiculous. I may be crippled by a lack of knowledge on the subject matter but this… just… why…?

Part of me is dead now. And TNA killed it.

I almost never watch any kind of wrestling at all. I could count the number of times I've watched a full episode of a wrestling show on one hand. The only person I had even heard of beforehand was Hulk Hogan.

I still found this absolutely hilarious. Spoony managed to communicate fully who these people were, why they were stupid, why the show was stupid, and it made me laugh. It felt like a trap. Like a D&D party wanders into this dungeon, and sees a carrot laying in a noose in the middle of the floor. And it is the worst, most poorly designed trap of all time, and the party just starts laughing hysterically. And while they're incapacitated laughing, orcs run in and slaughter everyone.

and I can't stop laughing at this. I don't know why it's so funny to see you in pain Spoony. But apparently it is.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Christina-Liddle/799668445 Christina Liddle

Ugh. TNA is doing exactly the same sort of stupid shit that made me stop watching WWE. The reason why I even tuned into TNA in the first place is because they used to put on freaking matches! GOOD MATCHES! Where did all the freaking matches go?! AND WHY ARE THEY ALL SO SHORT?!

This is easily the worst episode I've seen in…well…since the week before…

…Just fire everybody. Not the wrestlers (except, you know, Scott Hall, X-Fuck, Nasty Boys) but just the entire writing and booking staff. Everyone who came attached to the whole new 'direction' TNA is taking seems to be a complete and utter moron, going back to before Hogan officially returned…Seriously.

I would swear that so much of the reaction coming from the crowd is canned heat. Or else a whole bunch of new people showed up when Hogan came. The old crowds were a lot more creative. I enjoyed their chanting.

  • piston1984

You see Spoony, you should've listened to Dr. Insano and used that time compressor he offered you way back in your Final Fantasy 8 review. It would've helped save you the pain of watching TNA.

    WARNING: OBSCENELY LONG TIRADE BELOW!

I've seen a couple of episodes of TNA recently and JESUS! Fon't get me wrong TNA fans, when you actually get to the wrestling then the show is, in my opinion, better than the WWE. But WWE still wins because the matches tend to be longer and more frequent. TNA matches need to be about twice as long and much more frequent. The matches, while short, were quite good in my opinion (and they would have been great if they were longer and the editors didn't censor out anything more violent than a kick to the face but I'll get to that later). My feelings for the rest of the show, I.E.: more than 75% of the show, can be summed up like this: “GET TO THE F***ING WRESTLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” but I'd like to point out a couple of points in particular:

    1) Abyss uses the “power” of Hogans HoF ring: For crying out loud why did Hogan tell Abyss that it would give him superpowers? Couldn't he have said something more like “I've seen you wrestle. You have a lot of potential but you need to buckle down and, most importantly, believe in yourself. This is my hall of fame ring. I spent my life fighting my heart out to get this because I had faith, I believed in myself. I want you to have it, and whenever you feel down or broken or you feel like you want to give in I want you to look at this ring and remember what I told you here today. That should give you enough courage to keep on fighting.” wouldn't that have made more sense than saying it would give you the power of a wrestling god? Also why is a guy nicknamed “The Monster” such a man-childish crybaby?

    2) Bischoff tries to turn Foley into some kind of business exec: Come on a blind man whose never heard of Foley can tell that he's a total slob. Why would you try to turn a guy like that into some squeaky clean business zombie? Whose idea was this?

    3) Bischoff demotes Jeff Jarrett to “burger flipper”: Oh, that's nice; you're forcing the founder of TNA to flip burgers for the rest of his career for not hitting a terrified, sobbing man with a baseball bat covered in barbed wire, pure class (sarcasm). Why are almost all wrestling show chairmen villains?

    4) I see Mr Anderson … I just see Mr Anderson: Why is this obnoxious, loudmouthed, pain-in-the-ass of the wrestling world still allowed to wrestle?

    5) Rob Terry's “match” with Anderson: Anderson spouts bullshit, Kurt Angle hits him with a chair, Terry drags him to the ring and pins him, Terry wins. As much as I like to see Ken Anderson's character get humiliated that quote on quote match might as well have just been the titantron saying “F*** you to the audience and all the viewers at home”. I haven't seen a more pointless match since the CM Punk vs Batista “match” where Batista just stood in the corner for a minute or two before walking out of the ring and getting counted out.

    6) About a minute of Jarrett flipping burgers: While I could make a complaint about the briefness of this clip I'm actually grateful for that. Jeff what are you doing? You're the founder of TNA, you shouldn't have to put up with this. Put down the spatula, storm into Eric Biscoff's office and kick. his. ARSE.

Overall out of a 2 hour long show I got about 4 matches (not counting Terry vs Anderson) and about 15 – 20 minutes of wrestling tops. This isn't a wrestling show, this is a horrible parody (we're talking Friedberg and Seltzer level of parody) of soap operas with bizarre characters and a couple of good, but unacceptably short, matches to distract us from the horrible writing that most people on this site could out do even if they were stoned out of their mind on every drug in existence.

But getting back to the censorship, TNA censors just about as much as it can. If you use a weapon on someone or throw them into the guard rail or even the wall, most of the time it will be edited out because god knows we can't have excessive violence on a wrestling show. To quote Zero Punctuation: “don't hide your selling points. Hookers don't wear suits of armor.” This officially became ridiculous when a scene of AJ Styles hitting Hulk Hogan with a belt cut away to the crowd but was then shown to us in replay. So you censor out a scene of “excessive” violence before showing it to us in a replay?

Anyway this rabt has gone on long enough so I'll just finish by saying this: If you record TNA and skip through all the bull straight to the wrestling it's a pretty decent show. For about 10 minutes. Here are the things that I think could improve TNA: Replacing the writers, having longer matches, having more frequent matches and a storyline in which Mr Anderson either gets killed or becomes a mute (the character of course not Ken Anderson himself).

  • penisenvy

    Do you actually LIKE wrestling?

  • blackrain9000

  • blackrain9000

Gosh, that aggravation and brain 'sploding frustration is eerily familiar. WWF from twenty years back also had similar faults on occasion. A ring is not a soapbox, it's meant for beating the living feces out of your opponent.

love this wrestling vlogs, by the way thanks for the support for Chile.
I was in Santiago (the capital of Chile) during the earthquake an even thought it wasn't the epicenter, it does felt like it was the earth's end, or like godzilla trampling through your neighborhood. Fortunately i only lost a bookshelf, compared to some neighbor that was nothing.

  • CaptSeriouspants

You bet your ass we're hardcore fans, Spoony! I was originally going to say how I'd prefer watching you over TNA (me trying to be a TNA fan) for 2 straight hours, but that loses it's effect after you consider my proclaim to “hardcore fandom”. I'd rather be castrated than watch my ex-heroes, the people who inspired me to one day become a pro-wrestler, make fools of themselves.
And the talking… I can't fucking take the constant talking… this is the first person I've heard comment on it.
I mean, part of me is disappointed that I wasn't the first person to notice or make a v/blog about it, but… part of me was relieved that I wasn't the first person to notice or make a v/blog about it. And I can take talking, but they're not only boring, they're really slow. One might argue that they're doing this so that their slack-jawed audience doesn't miss out on what they're saying, but they're not exactly master linguists either.

  • UCGav

Do you think the writers actually proof read what theyre writing or do they just play Madlibs?

Seriously. How do you get 'Kidnapped by Ninjas', 'burger flipping wrestlers', 'Mick Foleys new Suit' and 'Magic smegging Rings' into a Wrestling show and have less than 20 min of actual wrestling?

I suppose i answered my own question. With all the BS going on theres no room for the Wrestling.

Is it really so hard to put on a Wrestling promotion that is more Wrestling than Story? Sure you can string the matches along with a subplot or whatever if you really have to but seriously…do writers charge by the hour or something so you gotta get your moneys worth?

  • Tron1981

I've said for a long time that TNA would be great if it weren't for the damn booking. And I blame one man for that: Vince Russo. For someone who's been in the business for so many years, he knows jack shit about how wrestling works. It boggles my mind that this man still has a job. Seriously, Dixie Carter fired Jim Cornette in favor of this man. THEY FIRED JIM CORNETTE FOR VINCE FUCKING RUSSO!!! Anyone can say what they want about WWE, but they still run a far smoother show than TNA has under Russo's creative control. WWE's show sure as hell are bad most of the time, but they get their point across, unlike the clusterfuck that is an episode of Impact. I want TNA to succeed, I really do, there needs to be an alternative to WWE for the general audience (those that aren't aware of RoH at least). But, I'll take a bad episode of Raw over the shit that TNA's squeezing out every week.

And can we please get Bubba the Love Sponge off of my TV? No one likes or gives a shit about him.

I can't agree more about TNA, or the WWE for that matter, it used to be great, but now, not so much. Though I have a friend who is a huge TNA-apologist.

He is constantly going on about how TNA is bringing in old wrestling fans from 1999, why anyone would want fans from that era, who aren't die hards who haven't given up yet I have no idea, and we just have to wait for RVD verses AJ for good wrestling to return. I keep telling him that maybe if this was ten years ago, I'd be excited, he doesn't seem to understand. Not only do I think RVD's best days are long behind him, thanks to Vince turning him into a played out bump machine, I know that somehow Vince Russo and the rest of the “TNA Writing staff” fill frak it all up somehow. Bah!

Wow, seeing Spoony this upset is traumatizing. It scares me.

  • Rumeziel

I'm not sure if my comment posted or not since my profile was having troubles a month ago, but I think WWE took notice of your comment.

The weeks before, Hulk Hogan was still in the opening crawl. In the show almost immediately following when you did this Vlog, he's replaced with the Million Dollar Man saying “EVERYONE HAS A PRICE”. Weird.

EDIT: Also, apparently TNA had to move from 9pm to 8pm so that they can least get an hour of ratings before the viewers flip over to Raw at 9. On top of that, they have an encore episode on Thursday. This seems like it's costing them more money than they're getting back with viewership. I wonder if Dixie's realizing that competing directly with Raw was a biiiiig mistake.

I think this is my 30th of 50th time watching this…there must be something wrong with me.

Thanks Spoony, hearing your voice ramble on helps me get through the more boring parts of work.

I actually watched this episode when it aired. And…..I about felt the same way. I honestly couldnt make it through the entire show. And…yea I commend you man. I honestly laughed my ass off watching this. Not for your suffering, but just the fact that you had some of the same reactions I did. I think TNA should really change their name from Total Nonstop Action Wrestling to Talking Nonstop About Wrestling. That would make more fucking sense.

And, and this is just a suggestion so you can ignore it if you want. But MAYBE you can do like a monthly review about Raw, Smackdown, Impact and The Indies and how they hold up each month. Talk about the major feuds or angles. What superstars really shined. What superstars should have been sacked. The dumbest moments of the month. Etc, etc. You know, for us wrestling fans who have really nowhere to watch that kind of thing. I dont get to catch wrestling like I use to, due to work schedules being as they are, and honestly dont care too much about it right now. But I also dont get to talk to many people about it anymore so yea. Maybe this si something you'd like to do or maybe its not. Just something to throw out there.

But all in all, I enjoyed my time with the video and its nice to see someone who appreciates wrestling tearing down the idiodic aspects of the shit they try to shove down our throats everyweek with shitty booking and moronic writers. Thanks again sir and cant wait for another Spooney vid on Wrestling. Now back to the Movies and Games, always a fun time lol

Hilarious. I can honestly say I never watched any wrestling… ever. Before today. But I just had to see the kind of crap you were talking about. It was bad. Really bad. I… I don't even…

… I'm going to go cry in a corner for a little and then find a machine which can wipe the memories from my mind.

As late as this comment is… i completely agree with you man. TNA used to be entertaining as hell when they had like AJ Styles, The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels, Chris Sabin, Petey something or other… the canadian guy who had the awesome finisher…, etc…
Who in their right mind thought that THAT TNA wouldn’t do well on its own merit? Whoever decided to DESTROY TNA deserves to be Curb Stomp’d on some Chile’n sidewalk DURING that 8.8 earthquake!
That’s my take on TNA… and it didn’t take 90 minutes! lol (Great VLOG though)

This is one of the funniest reviews he has done since the Final Fantasy ones. I’ve never laughed so hard about the stupidity of wrestling, being a former fan when I was in middle school, Noah seriously just ruins any credibility TNA has (if TNA had any to begin with). Granted, I’ve never watched an episode, since I was 12 and WWE was WWF, his criticisms reflect everything I hated about it when I was young and hate about it now.

This is by far my favorite Vlog. The cuts from having paused and unpaused the video were so great sometimes when the expressions you had would be the complete opposite. It was so unpredictable and just nuts that it never got boring.
