I’m going to side with Mechagodzilla, It has more in terms of sheer weaponry and ranged firepower, true the Megazord is a better hand to hand fighter because of the skilled pilots and it’s Sword can destroy most things, but 1. It was destroyed by a mutant fish, 2. It’s Solar Powered, meaning that if Mechagodzilla cann keep it’s distance until nightfall it’s won and 3. It can’t fight at a distance. However, It’s reflective mastadon shield could be a large decider as it could reflect Mecha’s energy beams, but not its missiles. Mecha’s freeze ray could be a tide turner if it isn’t interrupted or blocked. One last thing, the Megazord has human pilots with a lot of willpower and ingenuity, they might be capable of thinking their way out of the situation I’m gunning for a long fight with a victory caused by the Megazord running out of power :) can’t wait

Anyone, the closest thing I am to an expert on Mechagodzilla (although Godzilla is ranked #3 in Troy’s Book of Awesome, right behind #2 Doctor Who and #1 Transformers) would be to ask which version of Mechagodzilla you’ll be using. There have been like 3 thanks to reboots of the franchise. I love Power Rangers, too, but I’ve never studied the techincal specifications of either of the Megazords any more than I have the various Mechagodzillas.

My insane knowledge of both are useful, though I know more about Mechagodzilla then the Megazord itself. I got a question though, if you’re going to throw in Dragonzord and Titanus for Ultrazord, does that mean MG (assuming you’re using the 1st one) gets to have Titanosarus in his corner? Not that it matters though. MG tears Godzilla a new asshole in any movie.

I’m pretty much only an expert in comic books…don’t know how I compare to Linkara, but I can wait for this series! I think it’ll be Megazord. I was hoping for Voltron but he is pretty similar to the Megazord.

There are both wiki’s on Power Rangers and Mechagodzilla specifically.

But if I were you, I would tie in Linkara for the Power Rangers and the Nerd for Mechagodzilla. Both made elaborate video series (Nerd on the Godzilla movies and Linkara on the Power Rangers) so both have enough fantasy knowledge to elaborate eachs characters strenght.

I’m loving the idea and that animation is sweet! I’ve been a lifelong kaiju fan and I own all of the Godzilla and Gamera films along with tons of other titles. I’m always willing to help out in any way possible if you have any questions or concerns… and I’m a longtime member of a large kaiju-related forum so if even I’m not able to answer you, I can just ask them or refer you over. A lot of big names within the fandom post there and maintain the place.

If you ever need a Gundam Expert, I’m your guy. I’ve seen every episode of every series, all of the Movies, read most Manga, own a good portion of the DVDs, and have even won a few Gundam Battle Assault Tournaments.

You cant compare fighting Ritas crappy enlarged Monsters Of The Week to Godzilla The King of The Monsters. The second (Hisei) Mechagodzilla is about 120 meters making it roughly 3 times the size of the 41 meter Megazord so hopefully Spoony wont go with that one or it wont be much of a fight at all.

Can’t wait. I was watching the Jesse James vs. Al Capone episode of the actual show yesterday and I was reminded of how much their “logic” pisses me off.

Well, the MegaZord has already faced a MechaGodzilla variant in the DragonZord. Back when the Green Ranger was evil, he used the DragonZord to defeat the MegaZord, and the only reason that Zordon’s rangers won in the end was they turned the Green Ranger to the side of good. Dark Helmet’s line is apropos here, “now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.”
