My controversial commentary on the worst movie ever to blight the planet is now available for download on Rifftrax for the paltry sum of $1! Of course, the DVD itself costs a lot more than that, and believe me, you’ll feel dirty for buying it. But hey! A movie this bad deserves a place of honor in your shrine of cinematic ineptitude. Anyone who doesn’t get it needs their head examined in a cardboard MRI!

Epic. Now I can watch this movie without clawing my own eyes out!

  • geekfury

Can't seem to find this DvD the UK, so I can't use the Rifftrax to full effect, sucks! :< This make Geek sad.

  • whatislove

I think I see where this is going.

  • Tsukianei

You've now given me a reason to buy this shitty movie. And by “buy” I mean waste bandwidth.

    PIRATE BAY, AHOOOOOOOOOOOOY!!

  • Akuosa

Once something has been posted on internet… good luck taking it out.

Never got a glimpse of it yesterday, I'm going to check it out now.
Why, of course I'm going to pay $20 plus shipment from the other side of the globe to do so, what are you implying?

  • http://www.Omni-Nexus.deviantart.com Newbonzy

if it weren't for the fact that I don't have any money, I'd endorse you on this. But I'll be the jerk who just takes a pirate of it.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Adam-Job/100000915926094 Adam Job

well, i already saw your riff on this, it was hosted on blip tv in three parts.

  • Cuefrogger

Dude, this movie looked like a middle school comm. arts project. How much you wanna bet the director and cameramen were wasted?

I actually visited their website:http://www.afterlastseason.com/ . And THE PRODUCERS ACTUALLY THINK THIS IS A FUCKING LEGITIMATE MOVIE! I laughed when I saw: “A film that is completely unlike any you've ever seen before.” The movie is just sooooooo boring and hardly makes sense at all!

And for all of you pirates out there, I'm sorry. This movie is so bad that there is no torrent to download it anywhere on the internet. That says something

  • devilfish

After TGWTG, Spoony is on Rifftrax! We need more of this. I'm very happy to learn your efforts in creating this riff haven't gone to waste.

  • Akuosa

There wasn't any torrent for the movie itself. There is now, with this little “extra”. That says something, indeed.

  • Nartanspigga

“The film was only released in 4 cities. Afterward distributors called each theatre individually and told them to burn the prints because it was cheaper than sending them back. ”

Thats the trivia directly from IMDB.com.

  • mrrubino

Sorry Spoons, but no. Then I'd have to buy the movie.
We can sit here and do our monthly-bleedings over your comments section, but once we give them money, nothing else will matter to them.

    • Anonymous

I don’t think I’ll go track down the movie either, and I managed to d/l the trax before it got pulled… but I think I’ll support the site and donate a couple bucks Spoony’s way; he deserves it.

  • goodguya

I don't care how funny it is. I'm not going to seek this crap out so that they get money. I'm serious when I say I don't want to contribute to anything this film does for anyone.

  • Jumpooleez

Haha nice poster QuietlyThinking! It's simple but funny, I like it a lot. But yeah have you ever thought about doing a rifftrax on something you liked? That would be neat to see, like the joke FF reviews or you Ferris review

  • http://twitter.com/pabrtrky Kyle Purtlebaugh

The second I saw the ceiling fan in the room with the cardboard MRI during the trailer, I realize I have to watch this movie.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Christopher-Alden/100000469737019 Christopher Alden

Looking at the movie's Amazon page right now… Under the “Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought” section, it has The Room, the soundtrack to The Room, and a Troll/Troll 2 boxed set. Should I be scared?

Oh, and apparently, it played in 4 theaters nationwide. And one of them is in my hometown. And I still never heard of this dog.

  • http://twitter.com/SteveJones313 Steven Caulfield

$1 for the audio…$20 (+shipment) for the DVD…I bet Spoony still makes more fo a profit.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Christopher-Alden/100000469737019 Christopher Alden

Wow… just saw the trailer. Can't decide what's worse; the acting, the cinematograhy, or the cardboard MRI machine.

    • dennett316

Hey now…the cardboard MRI machine is the best thing about this godawful movie.

      • Anonymous

        I liked the plant.

    Where's the Dislike button?

  • oblivion328

That statement seems true enough. It is unlike anything I've seen before.

how about this we buy your downland and then we PIRATE BAY the movie.

  • Cuefrogger

Haha, indeed it does. New word:

    Spoongic [spoon-jic]

    -noun
    1. when TheSpoonyOne rants, reviews, or riffs on media, resulting with a direct increase in said object's popularity and/or traffic.
    – Noah Antwiler has performed Spoongic on many games and movies, including “After Last Season” and “Yor, the Hunter from the Future”.

To anyone considering the obique references here to torrents and certain websites, if I might make a suggestion: I've enjoyed many of Mike Nelson's Rifftrax products, but I confess I have on occasion sought out copies of certain movies with the rifftrax pre-synched simply for the sake of convenience. But when I do this I make it a point to ALWAYS ALSO LEGITAMITELY PURCHASE THE ACTUAL RIFFTRAX FROM THE OFFICAL RIFFTRAX WEBSITE. The torrents themselves usually include a strong suggestion that you go to the website and click on the “donation” button to compensate Mike & Co., but I think it's better to just legitimately purchase a copy of the rifftrax you stole even if you just end up deleting it, as that way it's recorded as an actual sale and Mike & Co. know which of their products they're being compensated for, unlike with an anonymous “donation”. Plus, before you delete it you can at least hear the often humorous intro before they give the cues to sync the rifftrax with the movie, which isn't usually on the pre-synched torrents.

  • http://compsandtech.blogspot.com/ HanukkaHarry

I feel like I would be better off just donating some money to you Spoony. I only watched the first part, but I think that even for $1 the Rifftrack would probably make me shoot myself in the head.

  • flaregun

…or, what the guy directly before me said in only 14 words. (yeah, I don't really do well on Twitter).

  • ThomasFishwick

It's a shame that the Producers decided to put their foot down, but hardly surprising. Your Riff was absolutely sidesplitting, I almost died laughing several times during the second part. As much as I'd like to see it again I really don't have the money to spend importing the Region One disk over here (UK) and the riff isn't quite the same without it.

Let's be honest, this was a crap film where almost no one involved in the production, from stage hands all the way up to Director, had the faintest whiff of tallent or skill. I can guarantee anyone here, or on your forums, could have done a better job in front or behind the camera. Hell I could probably half the run time just by editing out the pauses between takes. The only reason anyone is going to watch or buy this thing is to have a laugh while drunk.

Your Riff made it almost watchable and gave it an airing to people around the world that had no idea it existed. It's an old argument, but I hope they don't try to trot out the lawyers.

  • aMondia

I'm really glad I got to see the first part before it was taken down, I fucking laughed my ass off! :D

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Julien-Gabriel-Gregoire-Berube/100000914758791 Julien-Gabriel Grégoire-Bérubé

I found Spoony's rifftrax on Pirate Bay, I didn't download it. It was the ONLY file that came out after researching “After Last Season”.

I'd rather donate to Mr. Antwiler rather than having to spend 20$ on a movie that's actually more pretentious than “J'ai tué ma mère” (I killed my mother) by Xavier Dolan.

I think you guys should watch “J'ai tué ma mère”.

Spoony AND YOU GUYS should check it out.

  • coyoterys

Seriously, you can't afford $1 to support Spoony? For shame. You really had to go there?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Julien-Gabriel-Gregoire-Berube/100000914758791 Julien-Gabriel Grégoire-Bérubé

    I didn't torrent it.

It would be useless without the movie.

-and I don't want the movie.

  • mhee123

This is Spoony's First Rifftrax on the website. We need to support him on matter what! Maybe if you buy his rifftraxs he may make more instead of using torrents. Maybe he'll be presented by Mike and the gang as well. + it's 1$! When I get my paypal working I'm definitely buying it.

  • capthavic

Sorry but as much as I'd like to support Spoony, there is no way in hell I'm going to support that shitty ass movie.

  • http://www.gamespot.com/users/cornbredx CornBRED-X

I think the theories behind this movies existence are much more fascinating then the movie itself although I dont know if any of it is true as unlike Tommy Wiseau, this ones director has not done interviews about it, however it is believed this movie is some kind of viral marketing thing for “Where the Wild Things are”

While I have no clue whats true, it would explain why it was found so quickly and taken down so fast maybe. I dont know. This whole thing is really weird considering there is no genuine interest on this movie so it'd be like someone just watching the internet 24/7 for someone to post this movie or something.

I dont know. Its just incredibly weird.

Anyway, I only saw part 1 and 2 before it was taken down so unfortunately I will never know what happens next, haha
Not that thats necessarily a bad thing.

    • http://www.foxhack.net/ Foxhack

How the heck do people go from “very bad movie” to “viral marketing for another movie”?!

The movie is downloadable if you look well enough, and if you want to support Spoony you can just donate directly to him ;)

  • http://twitter.com/EpicCardboard Epic Cardboard

I'd totally support Spoony if I had access to this movie, but I don't, and I don't want to buy it. Sorry Spoonster.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Tom-van-Uijen/100000006112760 Tom van Uijen

For most people it's not that they don't want to spend $1 on Spoony, just that they don't want to support the makers of the movie for $20.

  • Swang Lee

I'm definitely buying Spoony's rifftrax just to support him but I'm definitely not buying the shitty ass movie :D

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Kelly-Bevan/100000460112080 Kelly Bevan

I'll buy the riff, but borrow the DVD from some poor soul who already possesses it.

  • http://twitter.com/afrobeatsam Samuel Cantu

Noah, as much as I like your work this is by far your worst choice for a review, because it's a terrible movie that didn't even tried to be a watchable movie, hell even the guy who made it knew nothing of film making. Yes, I looked up the movie and it had a 5 million dollar budget. This movie is a shame, an insult to all the world, and the fact that you did a commentary on it is even worse, it's not even worth laughing at it. I'm dissapointed that you did this, because you know you're promoting something that should never be promoted, so shame on anyone who buys the riff even more shame for those who buy the DVD, and seriously, you need help.

  • http://compsandtech.blogspot.com/ HanukkaHarry

Seriously guys, not cool. Don't effing upload his Rifftrax onto TPB, it's one damn dollar. If you want it then pay, it's not going to fucking bankrupt you.

  • http://compsandtech.blogspot.com/ HanukkaHarry

And before any of you say anything, yes, I did donate to him after I made my last post :P. $10.

  • http://twitter.com/Gorkemania_ Gorkem G

Sorry Spoony, I don't think I'll be able to purchase this. I've seen the first part before you took it down, and even with your commentary, it was really really painful

  • devilfish

Oh yes, I realize that. I just support the idea of Spoony going in that direction (as in, I really enjoy his riffs and wish to see more of them, and hopefully see him get some recognition from it). And I always feel very bad for people who have their stuff taken down because of all the time and effort they put into it, so I like the idea that it's now commercially available.

  • http://twitter.com/Seveleniumus Tamsos Valdovas

Well it's not the price of the rifftrax why people download the review, it's because the DVD cost 20 $, I could buy 7 DVD's for that price in my country, of-course I'll donate the price of the rifftrax to spoony, I just don't want to contribute anything to makers of this crap.

  • http://compsandtech.blogspot.com/ HanukkaHarry

The Rifftrax is only Spoony's audio as he watches the movie, that's why everyone is saying “I'd buy the movie and pair the Rifftrax with it, but it's not worth $20.” The torrent is Spoony's Rifftrax sans any video, therefore if people buy it they are only paying for his audio. So when they torrent it, they are freely downloading his commentary.

  • http://twitter.com/Seveleniumus Tamsos Valdovas

Whats the use of the rifftrax if you don't have a video?

  • http://twitter.com/ScourgeXLVII Peter Wolf

The sad thing is that, if anything, it should be the movie costing $1, and the Rifftrax costing $20. I don't know though… I don't really want to support the makers of this film, but I want to see your riff… I probably won't buy it, just because it is simply brutal to watch the terrible acting and (arguably) worse set design.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Treima Jimi Alexander

I'm not going to compensate those assholes for making a shitty movie and then having the nerve to get butthurt when someone calls them out on it.

But I will buy your rifftrax in support.

  • http://compsandtech.blogspot.com/ HanukkaHarry

Clearly we're not on the same page here. People are downloading Spoony's Rifftrax, not the actual movie. For $1, it doesn't pay at all and is an ass move the make.

Check down a few comments, someone linked it.

  • spoonshock

Solution: Buy the Rifftrax, wait a few months until the DVD's less than $1 at Amazon.

  • http://twitter.com/Psych02K Sicco Miedema

Well I just donated $5 to the site, I refuse to pay money for that shitty movie but I do want to support Spoony.

  • http://www.foxhack.net/ Foxhack

You know what I want? His earlier Hackers riff, resynched, and available on Rifftrax. I'd buy that for a dollar. :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Danny-Spieker/658144366 Danny Spieker

Eh Spoony, do you think this movie is worse then… oh… lets say…

    TRANSFORMERS 1-2

would you say you would rather watch transformers 1-2
then this movie? Oh Spoony one?

  • http://twitter.com/david_ribeiro David Ribeiro

I think the best choice if you don't want to spend $20 is to download the movie (with or without spoony's commentary) and then buy the rifftrax no matter what.

The guys at rifftrax will check out the reports, see that Spoony has a large fan base and *maybe* they'll call Spoony for a official riff… That would be awesome.

  • http://twitter.com/Smael123 Ismael Almaguer

20… fucking dollars for the DVD, are u fucking shitting me. Let me get this straight. They are an independent movie producer and they want more people to know about their work. Selling a movie at 4 TIMES THE COST THEN IT SHOULD BE DOES NOT HELP. Do they think they are James Cameron? I honestly think they just wanted to make a quick buck. They didn't even try to memorize their lines so that shows their heart wasn't in it. Maybe there's something good in this movie that I don't understand but as a regular person I have to say this is worse than The Room. The Room at least kept me entertained.

  • http://twitter.com/Smael123 Ismael Almaguer

    Which is no one.

  • http://twitter.com/Smael123 Ismael Almaguer

But still support Spoony and find a way to see the movie without the DVD.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jacob-W-Rampey/1003608675 Jacob W. Rampey

I was reading up on the Rifftrax website and you get 50% of the price you’ve given. 50 CENTS! G-g-g-gee-unit.

  • Spewny

Just downloaded this from TPB and I must say: This is the most boring shit I've ever seen. The jokes are soooo forced, it just doesn't feel natural at all. Definetely not worth the one dollar. Come on, Spoony, you can do better!?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jacob-W-Rampey/1003608675 Jacob W. Rampey

Just doing a simple search you'll find the torrent out there. I say, download that and donate to Spoony directly. FUCK INDEX SQUARE PRODUCTIONS!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jacob-W-Rampey/1003608675 Jacob W. Rampey

Your life isn't worth a dollar. SHUT YOUR MOUTH JABRONI! I can see by your name you're trolling.

  • http://twitter.com/Seveleniumus Tamsos Valdovas

Oh, I just saw this movies torrent popping on today, I thought you were talking about it.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Tom-van-Uijen/100000006112760 Tom van Uijen

Had all the pointless shots and moments of endless silence been taken out of this movie it would have been just 10 minutes long.

  • dennett316

The Rifftrax was very funny considering what he had to work with, and frankly this movie simply HAS to be seen…it's so absolutely awful on every level. You thought The Room looked bad? It's nothing on this shit!
There's no way this had a $5 million budget surely? Is that on IMDB??? $5 million for a cardboard MRI and some utterly awful CGI that a five year old could have managed?

    • http://twitter.com/afrobeatsam Samuel Cantu

“HAS to be seen” , that , that statement right there is what spoony just made you to think, he pushed your curiosity to torture yourself and laugh at it. If he said to you to go outside and do the most nasty things in front of people, film it an then do a commentary on it, would you do it? Would you say that “HAS to be seen” ? Of course not, it’s an offense to the viewer, therefore nobody should see it. This rifftrax is the clear proof that if you wondered if Noah was a masochist, well here you have it, he is, and by no means I would call it hardcore, this is beyond having a dark sense of humor, is having no respect for yourself.

      • dennett316

What are you on about, being hardcore and masochistic?? It’s just a fucking movie dude. Spoony pushed me to do nothing, I clicked on the post before it was removed and there was no info about what it was….I clicked because it’s a new Spoony vid and guess what?? I watched all 3 parts because I found the Riffing to be funny as hell…..what’s the big drama? No-one is actually “tortured” by watching a shitty movie, it’s all exaggeration for comic effect….I wasn’t tortured by anything. You are ridiculously over-dramatising a situation that has no call for it.

“If he said to you to go outside and do the most nasty things in front of people, film it an then do a commentary on it, would you do it? Would you say that “HAS to be seen” ? Of course not, it’s an offense to the viewer, therefore nobody should see it.”

What in the fuck are you dribbling about mate? How is anything you just typed there relevant in any way to the act of watching a funny video on this site? It makes absolutely zero sense, is in no way anything like this situation and is more pointless than anything contained in that movie.
Why did I enjoy watching that travesty of a movie? Let’s see…….

        1) Just to see how bad some movies can get.
        2) It’s funny to spot just how many of the conventions of film making this thing broke – no transitions, leaving in fluffed lines, complete inability to flow logically from one scene to another, not naming the main character until about 45 minutes in.
        3) Spoony singing songs from The Little Mermaid
        4) It really put my loathing of Transformers 2 into perspective.

By your logic, all of the TGWTG contributors have no respect for themselves because they’ve chosen to entertain us by ripping the piss out of mediocre forms of media from comics to movie trailers…..please tell me why you’ve come to this extraordinarily po-faced conclusion? I really can’t believe how seriously you are taking this….it’s pretty pathetic. He didn’t proclaim himself to be hardcore for watching this, and neither do I. He put out a video in order to entertain me – for free I might add – and I clicked on it and watched, and was entertained for 90 minutes. How do I suddenly have no respect for myself??

        • http://twitter.com/afrobeatsam Samuel Cantu

Ok, yeah I was over dramatic on the topic , but I should’ve explained my point further. Look I dont’ watch TGWTG content very often , I mean I did before, but then most of the contributors, in my point of view, were imitating each other and making the same thing as everybody else, take shitty things and tear them apart. Granted some are funny, but most of them , at least for me, are really repetitive so I tend to watch only doug’s stuff(And even his joke get kind of lame), for the nostalgia and every now and then it’s interesting to talk shit on really obscure stuff, but just to that ponit.

What I’m trying to say is doing this, giving this film promotion, showing it to more people could encourage other “directors” to say “Hey, I’ll make a really shitty movie and it will become a cult movie, just because. I’ll make it an abomination of a film and I will be famous”, that is what I don’t want to happen. Fortunately I see here that most people are sane enough to not buy the DVD or even download it. You already watched it. I watched the first part and it was soooo boring even spooy’s commentary was boring.

Look, I enjoy when spoony makes fun at shitty stuff that needs it, like high to mid budget movies, made by real film makers and that were promoted to be like a good flick to watch.

Ed Wood was the worst director they say, and so are his movies, but he tried so hard to make them, and that’s the charm, that he had his heart in the right place, but this movie, it was made to be bad, it aknowlegdes it’s bad, so please, fo everybody else who hasn’t seen it, or has curiosity on it, go ahead watch it, because you’re gonna wish you’ve never heard of this. Oh, and the masochist wasn’t for you it was for spoony, but hey the guy does this for a living and he’s funny ….most of the times, not this one, at least for me.

        • http://twitter.com/afrobeatsam Samuel Cantu

If he said to you to go outside and do the most nasty things in front of people, film it an then do a commentary on it, would you do it? Would you say that “HAS to be seen” ? Of course not, it’s an offense to the viewer, therefore nobody should see it. This rifftrax is the clear proof that if you wondered if Noah was a masochist, well here you have it, he is, and by no means I would call it hardcore, this is beyond having a dark sense of humor, is having no respect for yourself.

I hate all these people asking “you can't afford 1$ ?”. Of course! The guy on the street corner talking to the mother-ship can. It's all the annoyance of paying that one. Like I would rather 20$ IRL then 1$ over the net.

  • dennett316

My theory on the swift takedown is the butthurt masses who loved the Deadliest Warrior game stooged him out to the company that made it after seeing the whole video was posted. Wouldn't surprise me if it was an actual Spike Games employee TBH.

  • Spewny

    What was your problem again?

  • http://compsandtech.blogspot.com/ HanukkaHarry

    That's…completely irrational, but whatever.

How about putting $20 in an envelope and mailing it to Spoony. IS THAT REAL ENOUGH FOR YOU?!

  • http://compsandtech.blogspot.com/ HanukkaHarry

Not to be trollin', but you just have to think about what you're saying.

You'd rather pay $19 more, spend 5+ minutes driving to wherever you need to go to get it, pay for gasoline, rather than input a credit card number or log into your Paypal.

  • Spewny

Why should I pay someone talking about a movie? A movie, he didn't even make. If money was earned so easily…

    • dennett316

No one said you have to you ridiculous parody of a troll. I have to ask…did you like the Deadliest Warrior game? Did you help to make it? Why else are you wasting time on a site you apparently hate?

    • dennett316

  • http://compsandtech.blogspot.com/ HanukkaHarry

Evidently you don't appreciate his work, so it blows my mind as to why you're here in the first place.

And it doesn't take a genius to get a dollar. Mow a lawn. Sell something. Do…anything.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jacob-W-Rampey/1003608675 Jacob W. Rampey

The same question applies to you buddy.

  • Atmos_Duality

This movie had to be an investment scam. Or an Uwe Boll style movie grant scam.
    Fun facts:

-This movie had a 5 million dollar budget. It opened in 4 theaters across the country and the advertisement and marketing for it was bare-bones. Like, a 2 thousand dollar print job for the DVD art.
-The movie's director is a real estate investor…that explains why the entire movie was shot in an unfinished office complex. He must have owned the building or at least leased it.
-His “props” could have all been purchased from office max. The “actors” all looked like people who had never been on camera in their life.
-Unskinned 3D Studio MAX computer renderings. Are you kidding me?
-Bare-bones camera setup, possibly a digital SLR with a recording setting. That explains all the still shots and minimal scene work. It also explains why they had random shots of ceiling fans, chairs, and doors everywhere, despite serving absolutely no purpose. It's like they took test shots to calibrate their camera and lighting and then went “OK, we'll just leave them in the movie. No harm done right?”

And it's still public knowledge that 5 million bucks went into this stinker. The only logical explanation is that they were running a scam, but were under contract to produce a movie to get their money. Not even Tommy Wiseau left in shots of his monotone actors forgetting their lines.

  • Trienco

I'm pretty sure he'd even rather watch paint dry. Ironically, that's what many shots of this “movie” seem to be showing.

  • specterm91

Spoony, man, I'm sorry, I can't buy it. The movie is not worth anywhere near twenty bucks, even with your commentary, which was pretty damn funny. I caught all three parts on Blip, and I can honestly say that it was the worst movie I have ever seen. I don't even know what it was about. It started as a “medical drama,” if you can call it that, turned into some kind of scifi crap with CGI that'd make the CGI in The Lawn Mower Man shit itself, and it ended with a ghost battle. This is the only movie since Eraserhead that made me let out an audible “what the fuck was that?” by the end.

  • http://twitter.com/v0dnik Vodnik

Do I get the entire movie for that one dollar or just an audio track?

  • http://twitter.com/FleacyTheSheep Desiree X

Well you are trolling lol Seriously scroll down all your doing is bitching at everyone you disagree with.

Seeing as you have to know, I don't have paypal or a credit card. I buy stuff off the net about once or twice a year. I use a family members credit card and pay them in cash.

It's like you have to fight everyone who doesn't feel the same way as you. Relax.

  • http://www.facebook.com/TheREALRyanFLoyd Ryan Floyd

guys just download the movie…dont buy it for a shit 20$

  • Trienco

Well, according to some interview the director figured that filming a frigging wall would be an acceptable way to show the passage of time. Apparently nobody ever clued him in on the time honored practice of simply fading out. So instead we get to stare at a wall and listen to someone banging on a pipe for what feels like an eternity. I don't even want to consider what doors and ceilings are supposed to represent.

If this wasn't a scam, they must have built their cardboard MRI from the worlds most expensive roll of duct tape, lined with platinum and covered in diamond dust. Or maybe more like:

    Sets: $0
    Props: $10
    Actors: $50
    Paper/Toner for script: $5
    Camera: $200
    Producer: $1000000
    Writer: $1000000
    Cinematographer: $1000000
    Director: $1000000
    Best frie… lead actor: $999735

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_METWLXS34H6PFFZBKIFTCGM664 josh

    Sorry Spoony, but no.

This movie was so painfully boring, not even your commentary could keep me from falling asleep.

If anything, these motherfuckers should distribute the movie for FREE, because at least getting Spoony's commentary is worth money.

  • http://www.invasiontherapy.com The Gonk

If the whole thing cost $1 or even $10 then it would be worth it, but I don't think I have the energy to track down a copy of this awful, awful movie. Also is Spoony been orally pleasured in that cover?

  • http://twitter.com/JPSalamanca JP Salamanca

I've decided, due to Spoony's release of this Rifftrax, to change my entire plan for my wedding reception. I've fired my DJ, and will have the After Last Season Rifftrax playing on repeat, while the entire congregation dances in a conga line, singing,”Padding Padding Pad-DING” around tables constructed with cardboard and masking tape.

This will be the happiest day of my life.

  • Homncruse

/ Director of after last season found. Haha.

Yup, sorry spoony, I'm not going pay for ALS. HOWEVER, since the ALS crew are being such whiny jerks, I will send you twenty dollars because a: for spite b: spoony is rifftastic.

  • Homncruse

Oh no, please don't take my last dollar bill, how dare you force me to buy your stuff spoony even though you aren't and my posting about it won't convince anyone. OH BOOOOY

  • http://twitter.com/MajorKerina Sarah Jody

I sent two dollars via donation. I still may buy the riff audio too…although I don't think I can bear watching it again.

That said…it was worth it for Spoony's singing.

  • http://twitter.com/DSUNUK D SUN

After watching all 3 parts of this movie I don't even know what was the main story behind it all. Maybe there wasn't supposed to be a real story, just an insight into what it's like to be experiencing ADHD. Now I can't wait til I forget all about it, which shouldn't take long.

  • http://compsandtech.blogspot.com/ HanukkaHarry

Hardly. I apologize since I don't advocate for piracy, evidently you should all freely download something that should be paid for (in reference to the Rifftrax).

Anyway, you said “I would rather.” You didn't say “I don't have the ability to buy it online.” Sorry if I can't psychically know that you don't have the ability to pay for it online.

  • http://www.facebook.com/LowBrassDude Lee Anderson

I don't think I have ever seen such a low-budget, boring, uninteresting, unoriginal, and plotless movie in my life, at least Manos had Torgo.

  • http://www.google.com/profiles/114319313498601954245 Kaltzor

I wonder where these directors find random people posting their movies on the internet… Do they have some automatic device that searches the internet for it few times a day and alarms if found?

  • crnrdfox

I had a feeling Spoony would eventually take the videos off of blip.tv I wish I actually downloaded part 2 and part 3. Oh well. Lesson Learned. If you find something funny, hurry up and download to keep for yourself. Thnx for the Riff Spoony.

  • Anonymous

I was lucky enough to preload the video before it got taken down, but I can honestly say that even with Spoony talking over it, it’s still a chore to sit through, it’s just that boring.

  • banedon

You get the spoony audio track for a $1 (“I'd buy that for a dollar!” to quote a certain film :)) . If you want the movie then you'll have to rent or buy it. However going by some of the comments it may not be worth it… Just something I'm sensing ;)

  • Ludicrum

Yikes! I would rather watch Twilight than this movie, and that is saying a LOT. I did find After Last Season slightly more interesting than the book, though.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=859910045 facebook-859910045

Well, I just aid for and downloaded the RiffTrax but I found the 3 part FLV's on Pirate Bay and I am downloading that. I wanted to pay for SPOONY's work but I wont pay for a DVD of the movie. I wanted just a rip of the movie but the search for After Last Season in MOVIES came up: TSE Riff Theater After Last Season ( The Spoony One ) 583 mb, thanks to whomever downloaded and posted it! FLV plays great in VLC player.

  • http://soldierhawk.wordpress.com/ SoldierHawk

Hey awesome idea Spoony! You're popular enough and have enough fans that, if you do more of these and they sell well, the RT guys might even let you do a guest spot on one of their shows. How cool would that be? Good luck! :D

  • Boredlizzie

I still don't believe this movie is real, even though I know it exists. After Last Season is just as much a legitimate effort at movie making as Dr. Insano's presidential campaign was a sincere effort to represent America's mad scientist demographic. It's someone with enough pocket money blowing a colossal raspberry at people who make and pay to see movies. Riffing it almost seems like acknowledging it as a real product, which it isn't. Somewhere an ironic hipster is high-fiving his friends over this :|

  • areoborg

Just the idea that this riffing is being made available on THE Rifftrax website is awesome to me.

The only thing that would make this even greater is if Spoony was a guest host with Mike Nelson.

  • http://twitter.com/ThyGoddess Michelle

The riff being on rifftrax is SWEET, Spoony.
But you're not making me spend 20 bucks on that DVD. However, considering buying the rifftrax anyway just to support you.

Come on, guys. Let's all buy the track, but not the movie. If we could make more money for Spoony (and/or Rifftrax, depending on who it goes to) then the actual movie makers made, it would be great.

  • http://twitter.com/capochetta Concetta

I'll buy your rifftrack but no way am I spending more on the DVD then they spent on the entire budget!

  • http://www.facebook.com/MrBoffin Jared Michael Anjewierden

The thing that cracks me up most about the “reviews” of this abomination on IMDB is that all of the positive ones are painfully obvious attempts by people involved with this crap-fest to get it some buzz. How can you tell? (besides the one guy who at least admits he's related to the actor?) Simply take a gander at what else these people have reviewed: NOTHING. All the people who gave it one star (presumably because they couldn't give it zero) have reviewed at least five or so other movies. I mean, if you're going to shamelessly promote your own garbage, at least hide it better.

  • Nephilim1977

I saved your original videos. No way I'm buying this abomination of DVD though. Let me paraphrase what I said before: “The Room is at least funny on its own. This is just plain bad”
I'll donate some more to your site though next month though :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/Catera Aden Malware Sipos

IM actually amazed at how cheap it is. Obviously spoonys price is the hosting cost and not to earn a profit :)
Glad I can enjoy this riff again, though shame I don't have the video though…. I ain't paying that much.

  • http://twitter.com/dimipapa dimipapa

I think I'll either just donate to you or buy the rifftrax, but I don't wanna send any money to index square. Having your riff posted would have increased their crappy movies revenue.

  • pandaemonium

There's a review of the film at Film Monthly (www . filmmonthly . com / now_playing / after_last_season_1.html), where it is a positive review, saying it's a “deconstruction” of action movies. BS.

    Also, from the director's mouth:
“I wanted to make a film which would captivate the audience and add a new dimension to the classic suspense and psychological thriller. It took us five years to go from concept, writing, assembling the production parts and casting to actually finally finishing the film. The process took a while, but it’s because of our efforts that we are able to finish this film.”

  • theshamster

You know, there is a couple of films that may be even worse than this one (No, I'm not talking about Tommy Wiseau's films)

    Behold!

    “Zyzzyx Road” and “Zzyzx”

Two films that are so bad that hardly anyone has even heard of them….”Zyzzyx Road” did so badly that after a budget of $1,200,000, it only made $20 at the US box-office! (and this was because only the stars went to see it)

You have to suck pretty bad to only make $20.

You have to review these two films Spoony….Doug can't review them since they were made in the last decade.

This one hurts. If I were watching it with friends they would probably get bored. As an amateur riffer myself who works hard to not miss a smart ass comment I can see why you took this one on Spoony. I think my mom might get this dvd for me as a birthday present because I showed her and we laughed our asses off. oh and I figured out what the tapping was when the cardboard MRI was on. The patient couldn't hold his arm still so they were staking him to the table with tent stakes. Tink Tink Tink Tink…

  • http://twitter.com/Seveleniumus Tamsos Valdovas

If you made a movie worse than Tommy Wiseau, then you have problems. I know what Spoony should review, but I forgot title, maybe someone will dig: it's about a girl that loves to dance, but she finds out she's terminally ill. She gets better later on and battles teh devil. I shit you not, film like that exist.

  • Freud_Hater

Just bought my riff for a buck. Now to wait for that shitty movie to get here.

By the way, guys, don't be afraid that buying the DVD will “support” these guys. It's obviously so bad that they must know it sucks, just like Tommy Wiseau and the Room, except where Tommy is a paranoid freak, whoever made this movie probably just wants to be humiliated as less as possible.

  • Unrelented

If that movie cost $5 million, there's someone walking around with about $4,999,900 in their pocket. Anyone involved with this “movie” that got paid more than the cost of a grand slam at Denny's was paid far too much.

  • Kenzya

He only yelled a couple times and only after the most POINTLESS scenes went ON AND ON.

And, what? Let the movie mock itself? Did you watch it? half of the movie is SILENCE and awkward shots of furniture. It was boring enough. It didn't need MORE silence.

Noah you're the king of generation Y in my book. The 2x unabridged lil Mermaid songs, the winamp visualization plugin on a blank mp3, the SEVEN HOURS AND SIXTEEEEEN DAYSSS, oh dear oh my I was giddy throughout. There's some kind of blood brotherhood, some tribal bind between American suburban white boys born within 5 years of each other, and another bond altogether for those who had to find ways to fill their heads while living at home in our 20s *chest thump*. Still as yell-y and sugar-bomb'd hyperactive sounding in your delivery as I remember from the FMVs, which at times can get grating, like you're holding me by the ears and screaming at me :(

I remember a few years ago, when Rifftax was a bit more active, they seemed to be interested in making inroads with popular online acts. They had Chad Vader on for one of the Star Wars riffs, they had Lowtax on easily one of the best rifftrax ever made in Troll 2 (I thought I caught a subtle T2 reference which was awesome btw). Curious whether you will ever be able to parlay your website into a guest appearance with them some time. with your powers combined..

  • http://lunayoshi.deviantart.com/ Stephanie

Ugh, I only made it through the entirety of this movie because I had Spoony ripping it the new one it deserved. The director wasn't even trying. It's horribly frustrating.

Y'know, whereas Tommy Wiseau wanted reviews of his movie taken down because he dislikes criticism and/or doesn't want any footage of The Room anywhere unless he's making money off it, I get the feeling the director of After Last Season wants footage of his movie taken down because the more attention it gets, the more likely the investors are going to realize/remember they put in $5 fucking million and push for reimbursement.

  • http://twitter.com/Deimos1984ad Zak Mahmud

  • Drach

I would buy the film for $2 and donate $18 to TSE.

Sorry, this film is not worth $20. Maybe if it were the cost of a REGULAR DVD…….

Laughable that they came after you, Noah.

I hope someone uploads this shit to Megaplaud. =)

With or (especially) without Spoonys commentary, it was just painful to watch this 90-minute-or-so nothingness. Spoony says at one point that they had about 10 pages of script stretched out to 90 minutes, which I disagree about. It’s more like they only had 5 pages of script, worked it into about 10 minutes of film, and then just filled the rest of the movie with shitty animation from the early 60′s and random shots of chairs. =P I wouldn’t hesitate a second about calling The Room a far superior movie. At least that one had some memorable quotes: “YOO AH TEEING MEEH APAAHT, LEEZA!”

I watched and loved it. Nearly pissed myself laughing. This movie is terrible, bad acting, terrible paper sets and to top it off 10 min long 3d cubes bouncing everywhere. This Rifftrax is the only reason I was able to stand this movie.

this is the worst POS movie ever its overwhelming, Its makes The Room look like scarface. It goes painfully crappy from second 1. If it wasn’t for Spoony riff I would have a endless migrane.

-twitches- Spoony….. I love most of your riffs, but even with them…. I think what little sanity I had going into seeing this is almost gone….
