That was pretty good. Well no the music was crap, the editing done with blunt shears and the less said about the poor wendy’s staff that were press ganged into appearing on tape the better, but as staff training goes it was better than most.

Painfully 80′s and the music felt more like a parody of the styles but I can accept that. What I can’t accept is the butchering of tea!

It’s almost enough to make me write the whole process down, but those nice people with the straight-jacket and neddles have come for me…

I like Wendy’s, they make good burgers and I like their fries (i really like salty fries and wendy’s has the saltiest).

What’s really weird to me though is I have never seen them make burgers like this… ever. The one time I worked fast food (at taco bell) I never had an instructional video either. I wonder where you get to see these or if they stopped making them in the early 90s. I’ve never had a job with an instructional video haha. I’ve heard Wal-Mart has some that are pretty crazy.

Ehhhhh… I’ve always hated flash intros, so I’m jaded against the intro right from the start. I hope you don’t use it anymore as your intro was a million times more professionally awesome.

Some Wendy’s restaurants use double grills. You put the patty on a flat grill to cook that bottom and pull down a top hatch to cook the top at the same time; no 1-4 corner press or flipping.

Wendy’s also has become very big on salads. You can get chicken-tossed salads, garden salads and special salads. How do I know this stuff? I have my sources.

Very good stuff, loved the animated intro and Hot Drinks was annoyingly catchy. But you missed a chance for wrestling related joke when the close up of the Wendy’s mascot appeared…

“Oh Hai Heath Slater” Then again, if you did a wrestling gag I’m sure that some of the more “traditional” commenter’s would give you shit.

I don’t know about paying money to hear these songs, but they were pretty funny. The workers at the local wendy’s need to watch these because they don’t seem to stir the chilli enough. I didn’t order a cup of juice, I paid top dollar, so make sure you get some of the grade D 3 day old burgar meat in there and serve it ‘FrAsh’!

These were a funny set of videos though I think for the most part they stander on their own ad you alluded to so thanks for not having a ton of riffs. All in all they were quite enjoyable.

One other thing you mentioned the Gamecrazy video you did and while I found it ok I just couldn’t watch that one. Gamecrazy died a painful meaningless death. They were a superb company far better then Gamestop. They actually had people who knew their games rather then the idiotic ‘Madden’ gamers prevalent at Gamestops. It was a sad day indeed when they closed down.

Training videos in general tend to be awful. I remember we were forced to have a meeting where we had to watch one at my job and even the district manager was making fun of it. The meeting basically turned into Mystery Science Theater really.

Using it in a music for at first sounds odd, but it does help you remember how to do things…..remember to fill at the line……..Anyway, these are a lot better than “The Phone Doctor” videos I had to watch back when I did call center work. Ok Spoony I am never watching these videos while eating again…you made me choke from fucking laughing so hard man…..not cool! Totally not cool……then again I am idiot for eating while watching a funny video but still…..fuck…..this made me crack up cause my buddy actually worked for Wendy’s and among the things that he’s done (aside giving us free food) there namely making a wendy’s lidmail…seriously he made a chainmail type vest out of twist ties and small cup lids and then wore it along with a to go bag as a helmet to get fired….which he died when he started screaming “ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!” after a slow service.

It’s a pity that Spoony likes to blow off emails from his fans because he’s probably missed out on a bunch of cool stuff.

I remember when I first got hired at Albertsons and I had to watch a training video that was so bad it almost made Plan 9 from outer space look like Citizen Kane. The first video I saw was a PARODY OF SEINFELD! I know the series had some pretty cheesy acting and situations but that video about good and bad customer service almost made put my tie to good use. After that raping of my senses and was too broken down to hold back any more propaganda they were going to shove down my throat I saw a Sherlock Holmes parody about safety and other random bits that you were going to forget about 10 seconds after the video. There is one interesting thing about that video though, if you listen very very closely you can actually hear Sir Arthur Conan Doyle spinning in his grave.

I had to sit through a safety video when I did work experience for Barclays that was so old it warned against playing Darts in the break room.

I remember seeing the grill rap portion of this video about five years ago with some friends, during a time when we were all working crappy fast-food jobs of one sort or another.
