This movie does not deserve a beatdown. King Of Fighters was the far and away the worst movie from this list. But this is getting the longer review?

Also, the action scenes in DOA were top notch which is something I notice a lot of the detractors ignore.

DOA just does not deserve any kind of beatdown like King Of Fighters which was way, way worse and one of the worst movies of recent years.

People just attacked the DOA movie because it was 1) A live action film based on a video game 2) Given a limited release theatrically in the US 3) Jumped on the bandwagon like the previous two reasons.

The second reason wasn’t because of it being bad but had to do with the Weinstein Company being morons when it comes to marketing movies that aren’t Oscar bait.

    I don’t find the movie to be unintentionally hilarious nor did I think it was necessarily hilarious when it was being intentional. The tone though for a good chunk of it was light is my point. I enjoyed the movie and think it has quite a lot of positive aspects than some are willing to allow since most likely they viewed it with a bias going in. The high quality of the action scenes alone make it worthwhile and better than the majority of Hollywood action films with their shaky cam and bad editing.
