An interview with some of the devs for Rocksmith, soon releasing worldwide!
(Sorry the audio is drowned out in places. There’s a lot of ambient noise on the show floor and the room wasn’t quite as soundproofed as I’d hoped.)
A new spoony video?
it must be that time of the decade!
oh do shut up you no life troll
This is a game I have been waiting to be able to play since they announced it, I was basically heartbroken when I heard they couldn’t say when the European release was going to be. Can’t wait for it to be released :D .
I gave up on learning how to play guitar awhile back, and the game kinda intimidates me anyway. But maybe I’ll ask for my old guitar back and give it a try…
im pretty sure my friend bought this game…it actually kinda worked…although there were a few glaring issues…
Dammit, I don’t have any of the supported systems, and I’ll be damned if I’m going to let Ubisoft on my computer again, fuck them!
Excellent , so glad there adding bass support, and that they are continuing to support Rocksmith in general. I understand how the game can be intimidating, I’ve been playing guitar for years and I like to run through every song a couple times in a row the first time I open it up on tour, just to get all the kinks out. Still, this is a great title and i’m happy to see it at E3.
Looks like a really good game :)
I have a sneaking suspension that not only can Spoony play the guitar good, but he may in fact be some kind of modest guitar god in hiding or something!
I remember Spoony talking about this game on Twitter. But I completely misinterpreted his praise to be sarcasm.
I’ve been playing guitar since I was 14, im 23 now. I love this idea its freaking awesome, i just know know how well its going to sell. Hope it does so people will learn a real instrument.
i’ve played 7 years and even though the game does not teach me anything new it is still fun to play
I own this game as it’s been out for a while in the States.. it’s pretty darn good. There’s a bit of delay between when you hit the note or chord on your guitar and when the sound come through the TV, but that is quickly remedied by a headset of some kind which then has no problems at all. This is a game that is simply amazing and fun to play.
Awesome. Wonder if Steely Dan will have a DLC? Probably not but that would be great.
The Bass DLC will be out September 4th for $30 and will include additional training videos/tutorials for bass techniques along with all of the previously released tracks getting a bass chart to play. As a special note, you will also be able to play the bass charts with a regular guitar, so you won’t have to shell out a ton of money to get a bass to play this content.
A new version of the game (with the bass stuff included) will be available October 16th. (which I believe is the worldwide release date, not sure though)
This actually appears to be a decent “guitar game.” Too bad it missed the craze by a few years, because this is what the kids needed if they wanted to learn to play the guitar before dedicating to all those callouses and blisters.
I plan to pick up this game sometime soon. Too bad I also have to buy a real guitar.
lookin better spoons
Does it comes with a lefty guitar? or can I change the settings to lefty?
I think the idea is that real guitars can be used for this game aswell, so if you have a lefthanded guitar already, my guess is that you won’t have to worry ^^
It does, in fact, have a lefty setting.
Do want this in europe. i would’we probably never heard of this, if it wherent for spoony :o
been a long time since i used my guitar :p stil suck at it :
looks pretty cool, hopefully you can just plug in your own guitar with the USB like an amp or something.
Game has a built in amp mode, with many pre-sets & fully customizable effects settings. It not only turns your entertainment system into an amp, it turns it into an incredibly expensive effects kit.
Very cool looking forward to the New DLC. I had written a list of my major complaints, but it would seem as if they have already been addressed, so Ill probably start playing this more and more!
I was thinking of getting this but a Guitarist friend of mine (I’m not to great with a guitar) told me that it wasn’t a good idea for beginners. Maybe its good for learning songs you wana play but he suggested not playing to LEARN to play the guitar. I should still try it out though, it could be just him having a few years of experience.
Looks awesome! Just wanted to say that I love all your videos so keep making them (please!)
Picked up this game two days ago, partly because of your recommendation and partly from attending an open mic night at the local blues bar. Holy shit. This thing has made me more comfortable with a guitar in 2 days than my old guitar teacher was able to in months. This is the solution to being a guy who “owns a guitar.”
