You don’t play a big role in this one Spoony, but I’m sure once the Dr. Insano stuff kicks in, we’ll all give in to the madness!

I hated first 2 episodes, but this one was great. Can't wait for part 4.

      I agree ;-)

Definitely my favorite part so far. I’m not usually a person who literally laughs out loud, but this was just hilarious. Straight sketch really is this team’s strong suit. Even the weaker actors really pulled together in this one. Happy birthday to me!

Glad to see you’ve come around :P

The Snob is really doing a good job standing out as one of the better actors, though all have been doing very well. I feel like we’re gonna get a cliffhanger whenever Spoony reverts to Dr. Insano

Nostalgia Palin made me laugh out loud. An excellent performance from Lindsay. Also, The Cinema Snob was great in this episode. His design for the flag of Kickassia rocked :D And we finally got to hear that famous line from NC as well… :D

    • Anonymous

I was definitely getting a Strong-Badia feel from the Kickassia flag’s design…which is a good thing.

      • Anonymous

Now that you mention it… yeah… Both flags do share a certain amount of similarity in design :D

I expect Spoony/Insano's role to overarch the schemes of everyone else in the story. I mean, c'mon. It's clear that he, or his internet character at least, is the smartest one there.

  • mobtank

Hehe, after part 2 I was speculating a little about what would happen next. Turns out I was pretty much spot on about what would happen, and gald to be because with this senario it looks like spoony will be getting his much deserved screentime soon :)

  • Akuosa

I love the part when the reporter is trying to get Nostalgia Critic to say “OF COURSE!”

  • theshamster

Dont you see what's going to happen?

Dr Insano is going to blow up the moon using the Dynamite fitted to those small rockets….well, at least he'll try to.

Wow, Nostalgia Palin-Chick. That was awesome and far to close for comfort.

In other news, I want to know where Spoony got that “When I Play Doctor” t-shirt. That’s an awesome shirt.

  • larsbroekhuizen

Why the F is the song “Hort Wessel” a.k.a. “The Nazi Anthem” playing in the background?! Is that really the theme you were going for?

  • necrosmash

The interviews are fantastic in this. I love how the one French person in this is in charge of immigration

  • http://www.facebook.com/hbentonjr Henry Benton Jr

So far I think this episode has been the funniest one yet and I had a good chuckle at trying to get, “Of course,” out of NC. Also the build up to Dr. Insano is just fantastic and I feel pretty much the best thing going.
But wow, the Chick as Palin was almost painful to watch, it's almost like a creative dead end in not really knowing what to do or what jokes to tell so just dress someone up as Palin, do an impression and used the same tired jokes everyone had used years ago.

  • http://twitter.com/doggans doggans

Did you not see the first episode? Or notice the obvious fascist overtones throughout the whole series? :P

  • http://www.facebook.com/AtlasRedux Johnny Lunder

Well, I did not expect this at all for Part 3.
But also, I laughed even more at this one than Part 2. AngryJoe, NChick, NC himself, Spoony's internal struggle for not letting Dr. Insano get released, MarzG …
There were so much WIN in this part that I did not expect xD I wish it would never end!
Make a goddamn movie of this anniversary. No, a TRILOGY.

  • Kevin_Holsinger

I was kind of expecting him to say that in the first episode, but this approach was way funnier. Which, I guess, is why he's the Nostalgia Critic and I'm not.

  • http://twitter.com/LucasChad Lucas Allen

Definitely the best part of the series so far, and we're only halfway there! #Kickassia

  • CohagenLovesAir

I just realized That Chick With the Goggles isn't here. She could have played Minister of MAKING MY PANTS TIGHT

  • Caelan

Really looking forward the commentary on a lot of these cross over videos.

I await an ass load of out-takes.

  • areoborg

Good! Stupid moon, always looking down on us. We need to show it who's boss!

  • devilfish

I can see how these jokes would seem tired. I live in Europe so I haven't been exposed to Palin as much (thankfully). I did think the impression was spot on and very funny. But I was hoping they'd move to either full on into political satire or stick to straight sketch. The Palin bit fell between the cracks a little because of that, but I think Chick did a really good job. And it did make me laugh.

  • coyoterys

Bravo on the Palin impersonation / parody! You guys freakin' nailed it. Awesome stuff.

I can't wait to see the bloopers & out-takes of this whole thing.

  • http://www.facebook.com/ObieWanCoyote Christopher Lash

Ah if only the critical marine were in this one… the flag situation would be rectified most ricky tick. And we could up the competency rating from 2+… let's see there was Spoony, Linkara, and Marzgurl did a pretty good drill Sargent rendition.

Not to say that I don't like everyone in these clips… I have a pretty great respect for Doug and his crew. I just can't seem to keep the idea that this is a fictional work in progress… and I'm kind of in a pissy mood working with Photoshop and stuff lately… I loves my video editing software, but I hates Adobe products, with a passion that even the Blag 'ole won't shelter them from… =p.

In my opinion, Adobe can serve out the rest of Spoony's stay in the Blag 'Ole. We'd all be a lot better off… Even though I like Photoshop… somewhat…

  • SuperRantboy

holy crap. 3D Lee, Spoony Freaking out over Dr. Insano, and of course, Nostalgia Chick as Sarah Palin. Wow, this episode was pretty god damn win.

  • kefkaesque

Now I'm a straight man, but I feel confident saying that the Cinema Snob has an incredibly sexy voice.

He comes close to David Bowie levels.

  • Elelelel

…? That's the “Stars and stripes forever” by John Philip Sousa playing in the background…

  • mrrubino

I think it was good shorthand to continue Chick's story from the last episode by identifying her with another woman who hoped to aspired to the Presidency and kneecapped her actual running mate to feed her own ambitions… without giving her too much screentime, cuz, y'know, “uterus” and all.

Also, er… 3DLee has some mighty noticeable bags under his eyes. Makeup Department dropping the ball?

  • Elelelel

    what?

  • rosenrot234

i loved the stomp rocket scene. nice and quick and hilarious. least you didnt try to reach the moon while in a tree.

  • Strelnikov

    @larsbroekhuizen

Yes! I chuckled darkly as I recognized the “Horst Wessel Leid”, but you knew they had to be going there after the Nostalgia Critic's “lets not be nazis…lets be more like NAZIS!” speech….that and nobody remembers the Italian Fascist anthem. Consider it a background joke for people who watch the History Channel.

Speaking of background gags, I like how Kevin “Von” Baugh's “Minister” character wears an old East German Army infantry officer's jacket (tunic). I have one that still has the depot tag on one sleeve…if you want to get into collecting foreign militaria, you won't break the bank with East German or Czechoslovakian gear.

  • david86

    blip is fucking awful

    • http://celluloidandsilicon.blogspot.com/ Avenging_Mike

Viddler’s worse, and YouTube can’t even really compare to that.

  • Ubersnuber

This was better than the first 2, but those were pretty much ground zero so that ain't saying much.
    Had a few chuckles though.

That Palin “straight-out read her most known quotes”-segment was stretched way too far time-wise. Stayed way past its welcome.
+ I can assure you that the whole Palin thing stopped being funny a long time ago. And it's as creative as a copy-machine copying copies of copycats…whatever that means.

That “of course!” gag was genuinely funny, though! kudos!
And I'm, if anything, looking forward to Dr. Insano ^_^
