Woah! Dude, you have some quick thoughts! Did you record these the second after they were put up?

  • SenorPwnage

HOLY FUCKING A FULL COMMENTARY FOR KICKASSIA. That’s fucking dedication right there. Seriously Spoony, I always love your commentaries, so I can’t wait to listen. Tthe only way this could be better is if there were more people than you on the commentary track.

    • http://www.facebook.com/ObieWanCoyote Christopher Lash

      Yea, that would kick a$$.

  • http://www.saisasylum.com/ Sai

FOUR DAYS? You guys are insane. But ah Spoony, I love commentaries, and you’re the type of person who can just ramble and be funny. I don’t get the backlash against this. I mean for a mostly amateur production this was pretty awesome. Maybe I liked it because I actually watch most of these people on a regular basis (You, Linkara, Nostalgia Critic & Chick, Phelous, Film Brain, Sage, Angry Joe, sometimes Marzgurl, Lee & LordKat, Cinema Snob more recently.)I honestly can’t wait for Doug’s commentary on this to find out how it all began. I probably won’t finish watching all three commentaries tonight so I might comment and gush more later.

P.S. I did love the Insano dynamic in this one, even if it makes little to no sense in what little “continuity” you have lol.

  • Anonymous

I was really hoping Insano would pull a Darth Sidious on N. Bison when he had him beat and just when N.bison is distracted, drop his ‘i’m scared’ act and shoot science beams at him, shouting “Power! Unlimited POWER!!!!!!…..Of science!”

I also loved the SNES Batman Returns boss music for the first part of the fight.

  • Anonymous

Not on topic, but Spoony, I thought it was worth mentioning I found out that you’re quite popular among the Team Fortress 2 artistic fandom. In fact, I stumbled upon some artwork of a Dr. Insano/Frankenstein-inspired mad scientist Engineer, and I thought it was overwhelmingly adorable:

Here’s the thread in its entirety (Dr. Inanso featured near the bottom):

These people love you Noah, and they can fucking draw.

  • Anonymous

In the Doctor Who Episode “The Hungry Earth” Companion Amy Pond wanted to go to Reno, so maybe she wanted to be apart of this glorious event!

    Even Chuck Norris Wanted it!

  • Anonymous

Hmmm, I really want to see that DnD ustream

    • Anonymous

I agree. Does anyone have the ustream account name?

      • Iaro

Same! I wanna listen in. :)

      • Anonymous

I think it might of been LordKat’s stream (unfortunately he doesn’t have his videos available after the live show ends), also RolloT recorded it for possibly putting something together later if the demand is high enough. I’d love to hear it too.

  • Anonymous

Jesus you did the whole thing?! I can’t wait to listen to all of it, I always enjoy hearing your behind the scenes take on not only your videos but crossovers like this. Kickassia was so much fun and to think it was only done in 4 days is unbelievable. Also to go from the amateurish (but still fun) AVGN brawl to a full length movie in just a year is pretty incredible. You guys did awesome.

By the way I think your Sith pose made it onto the bloopers.

  • MissAshley

I just finished Part 1 and already my head is swirling with comments. XD”NEEDS MOAR RAPE VICTIM!” has to be the most incredible direction I’ve ever heard. And seriously, your lightsaber really does kick a ton of ass indoors! The first time I saw it I couldn’t figure out how in the world post-production managed to make it look so good. And I LOVED the Snob focus in this. I only started following his stuff after his cameo in Phelous’s Troll 4 review, but I’m falling hard for him. :3

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Diego-S-Quevedo/1624773191 Diego S. Quevedo

I promised myself I would stop…I promise myself I would leave this series alone…I’m sorry Spoony, but BULLSHIT!
I know the production was ambitious,I know the filming was tough, but his was so disappointing!I have to ask,why is Insano such a taboo now? Will he be in your future videos? And you yourself said is perfecting,Film Brain acting like a sliveling piss ant.Have you watched his reviews, because it’s totally frickin’ stupid! They should be at each others throats!

    • MissAshley

I feel the need to respond to this, but I don’t know what else to say except this:

You really don’t get any of this. At all. On either the finished or production side or the “real life” and “scripted show” sides. I honestly don’t think you understand humans.

    • Anonymous

It’s fans like you that make the rest of us look so bad and tarnish Spoony’s rep around TGWTG. You should of listened to your own advice and left it alone instead of spewing a nonsensical negative (not to mention insulting) post.

    • TheGreatCommenter

Seriously, you should be banned from any site that these reviewers are on, you fucking moron! Noah himself explicitely told you that comments like that are really unfair seeing the effort all those people went through. If you don’t even have the fucking decency to respect that effort, you can bugger off and join the rest of the trolls on YouTube.

    • http://www.saisasylum.com/ Sai

Insano is a great character but asking Spoony to do him all the time is like bugging a celebrity to say a tired old catchphrase.

    • Anonymous

Oh, so you’re one of _those_ fans that the TGWTG contributors are complaining about whenever Spoony posts their stuff on this site. Tsk, tsk.

    • dennett316

Well that was….incoherent. Did you laugh even once at any of the jokes? If so, then shut your whining face!!! That’s one laugh for $0……a pretty good return on your investment I’d say, certainly more than you’d get from a bloated piece of garbage like Evan Almighty which cost over $100 million to make and raped your wallet.

In short, you’re precisely the type of “fan” that Spoony or any of the TGWTG team can do without.

  • Anonymous

You guys just had such a blast. I mean it wasn’t meant to be taken seriously.. it’s funny! Every fan sitting here watching that should have been able to put their hands out randomly and go “I’m… acting!” I am glad you guys had fun, you all worked hard. Great Job!

  • Jacen

Spooney! I can’t believe you didn’t take the chance to punch Film Brain for putting Inglorious Basterds UNDER Transformers 2…He would have deserved it

    • Ceherz

it’s funny how so many guys took this “feud” more serious than the people involved. get over it…

    • dennett316

Yes that’s perfectly reasonable, punch people who’s opinion on film differs from your own.
Really man, nerd outrage has it’s limits, try visiting the real world once in a while and realise how stupid so sound.

      • Jacen

I like you to tell that to Spooney when he posted up a response on hating Film Brain for his opinion. Why don’t you try not to say comments like “Check the real world”. It’s not nerd outrage. It’s simple facts. Mostly my opinion is for a comic relief on the subject that’s implied. You going up at my face on what I think is contracting your own statement on people’s difference of opinions. So why don’t you shut the fuck up if you don’t have anything better to add than to tell me to shut the fuck up.

  • Anonymous

Spoony, I will completely disagree with you about Film Brain. He is not in any way awesome. He is just so annoying, every scene he was in was completely unnecessary or didn’t go anywhere. He has the acting technique of a 14 year old, in that he tries to sound funny by shouting obnoxiously. Also, his excuse for leaving the Critic was generic and what could have been an interesting deception was just utterly pointless.
Anyway, this was a great film, you guys did a great job. There were some great moments, like the Board James cameo and the ending.

    • Anonymous

And I completely disagree with you. He was undoubtedly one of the funniest characters IN this movie.

    • MissAshley

I disagree with you, too. I’ve noticed in a lot of Kickassia comments that people can’t distinguish between bad acting and purposefully and directed “bad” acting. And I’m baffled how someone still can’t understand that after Noah gives us two examples in his mind of what a difference a good director makes in a production. “MOAR RAPE VICTIM” sounds stupid, but it really worked.

    • http://www.saisasylum.com/ Sai

I also disagree. Similar to Spoony he doesn’t really have a character, he’s a reviewer. He was playing a stereotypical movie snitch/weasel/yes-man for this production and I thought it was pretty funny.

  • Anonymous

Thanks for the commentary on this Spoony. It’s always fun to hear what you guys go through to put out this stuff.

Next time you’ll remember the sunblock though.

@Diego S. Quevedo – You should relax, it’s free entertainment from a bunch of assorted nerds. Also, learn to punctuate your sentances when you ramble like an ADD Hamster on crack.

  • http://twitter.com/Emptysquare Mitchell McIntyre

It sounds like you guys went through hell, and all for us fans. I loved every second of it.

  • Iaro

After the last installment of Kickassia was posted, I began anxiously awaiting the commentaries, and you delivered first, Spoony One! I love hearing y’all’s insights on shooting, writing, etc. Excellent!
It makes me sad to hear that Insano might be going into a mini-retirement… Then again, he can be a lot to take, and you said before that the voice is hard to do, so it’s probably for the best. Just don’t get rid of him entirely!

  • MissAshley

I finished the last two parts now. . .I could not stop laughing through your account of Snob’s injury near the end. My admiration for you and he increased tenfold listening to that! I’d LOVE to see some collabs with you two, or even better with you, he, and Linkara. He could really add a flip on the dynamic the Critic normally provides to the trio.

Once again, great job to all and thank you for all the laughs. All of you are inspirations.

  • Anonymous

I thought Film Brain was terrible too. The guy can’t act plain and simple. I really like Black Lantern Spoony he was pretty cool.

    • MissAshley

He acted as he was directed. There’s a difference between “bad” and “bad in character.” I thought he turned in a delightfully self-aware camp performance, and I “awwwww!”-ed when he squeaked “Santa Christ!” upon seeing the deity’s corpse.

    • Anonymous

I thought he was awesome myself. Sure, his character is annoying. That’s the point. Besides, none of them are “actors” as Spoony said himself; considering that, they all turned in a fantastic performance I think. Of course, if you don’t like a reviewer or their style, that’s your opinion and you’re welcome to it, but I gotta say it sounds unfair. Not to mention, FB played such a bit role that it’s not really worth bitching about. If you’re bitching about it, you’re not enjoying the production.

  • Anonymous

I’m not bitching about it, and I wasn’t expecting them to be doing Oscar worthy performances but he just kind of irked me. Although it probably doesn’t help that I don’t like his style.

  • Anonymous

D&D Ustream? Of TGWTG awesome people? Why haven’t I heard of this before? D:

  • Anonymous

Wow. The more I learn about this entire shoot, the more awesome I realize you all are. Fantastic work. None of us can say it enough.

I don’t think Insano has ever really “overstayed his welcome.” You seem to know how to pace his screentime well. I think he’s a great character, but I can see how playing him for too long would get tiring. XD

  • Anonymous

Thanks to you and everyone else for suffering because the end product was really great. Snob, Film Brain, Critic, Linkara, and you were my favorites. Pretty amazing what you all put together with the situation you had to work with.

  • Anonymous

If only you used this music for the second fight with Insano.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-Wlfq4Msjg

It’s another bit of music from Batman Returns, only this one is from the final boss, The Penguin.Ah well, there is always next time we see our favourite evil doctor face off against someone…and use SCIENCE on them!

  • Anonymous

Is it possible we could have a link to the ustream of you and the others doin’ D&D? :D

    • Vanlan

I was thinking the same thing. He mentions it, but gives no way to find it.

Does molossia really have some kind of special status, tax exemption, immunity, etc or is it just kind of pretend?

oh, why do you so worry about your performance, sweety? you were good, especially as a doc. fun and enjoyable, just as you should be. so dont worry ;) luv you, especially your eyes =*

Hah about gambling. There’s a slot machine in every corner in Finland. In every respectable shopping mall. kiosk. small shop, nightclub (even some restaurants) etc. there’s at least one slot machine there.

    • Anonymous

And where there are slot machines, there’s also a large group of pensioners playing them… :D

  • http://twitter.com/Professoriii Iherdu LiekMudkipz

Wait, Molossia is an actual nation? You did a movie featuring a freaking president of a nation? You need to put that in your resume, “used to work with president”

  • Anonymous

    So… bushes > Dr.Insano.

  • Anonymous

Axis and Allies for the win mother fucker. Screw risk.

  • http://twitter.com/nolanmcgarry Kefkaesque

4 Days? As someone who’s worked on multiple film projects, shooting an 80+ minute movie with that many people is incredibly impressive.

    • Ceherz

yep! doug is really hardcore. i don’t remember him EVER doing a break or making a pause since 2 years!? this guy is probably the hardest working of them all!

  • Anonymous

For any strategy game I play, I always compare things to Axis & Allies. Not that it doesn’t have it’s own little issues that nag at me, but it’s not Risk. But back to the video commentaries, thanks for posting them Spoony. I can’t wait to see what the crossover you had with Linkara is like. It sounds like it’ll be absolutely a blast for all the Insano fans.

But yes, I can see why you might want to put a little bit of a breather on using Insano for a while though. Kickassia was a real crowning moment of awesome for the Doctor.

But it was a crowning moment of awesome for all the folks who were part of the video, to do so much in so little time, so congrats to everyone involved.

  • Cthulhu07

You shot this thing in four days? That's more than impressive being this a feature length movie and all. My respect for every single one of you just quadrupled to the power of infinity. You guys rock!

  • KevinSutton

Watching it over again in commentary form, I can sort of remember the best moments. There are some really excellent set piece scenes in this, like the Ma-Ti scene and the Cinema Snob's exile.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/David-Siegeroth/100000325125156 David Siegeroth

Now it’s allways baffling how people are complaining about stuff they get for free on the internet.

Even though, it was kinda strange the Filmbrain felt so out of character. None of the others suffered from that, at least none of them that I follow.

What was pretty awesome was how Linkara really build up this badass reputation around his character. That sentai mask he wore looked oddly like the Kick-Ass mask.

  • dennett316

Brilliant stuff, and great insight into the behind the scenes stuff Spoony.
For me, Cinema Snob has been the undisputed MVP of this whole anniversary saga, including the crossovers. He is the best actor, has an awesome voice, and his style seems to mesh so well with everyone he’s featured with.

And Spoony, your performance was great….just the right side of over-acting. And I personally feel that Insano will never get old. I totally get how hard the character is to pull off, but the Ferris Beuller review was one of my favourites that you’ve ever done. Maybe a monthly or bi-monthly Insano appearance will allow you time to recover and not get burnt out with the character.

Anyway, Kickassia was fantastic, massive thanks to all those involved.

  • Anonymous

I really liked the movie – especially part 3-5 – and i really liked your Insano performance. But in my opinion I think it would have been better if you played Spoony in the video more in the dark/serious way you originally planned. At least that was the performance I was expecting… even though some of your faces were priceless ;)But who knows, maybe Doug is right and the dark/serious attemp would have failed to deliver?! I just liked downplayed “intelligent” humour better. As for the others: Joe was fantastic and Doug was great too. I also really liked the performance of the President. The Snob was good but a little underused. Same goes for Lee and his apathic demeanor that cracked me up a couple of times. Most of the others were good but none of them really stood out. Film Brain (who still seems to get a lot hate… get over it people!) was very on and off, sometimes it felt very “acted” and sometimes (like when he’s telling the Critic about the gang’s plan) he was really convincing and funny. The only one who really disappointed me was Handsome Tom: he just seemed bored and not really “into it”… but who knows the reason for that?!Oh and about your commentary: very interesting but I would have liked it if you’d given a little more insight into the scenes instead of drifting off. But a rambling Spoony is still a great Spoony! So, enough of MY rambling! Bottomline = great work! Thanks for entertaining us!

  • mobtank

This project was shot in 4 days in a real nation featuring its president, that alone is enough to rank up it's awsome level several hundred notches. You guys are absolutely amazing and I salute you.

And Spoony, you did really well in this, I absolutely LOVED your transformation scene! It's right up there with my favourite henshin scenes from anime :)
I understand your concerns reguarding the Insano character, but don't sweat it to much. I love the guy, I only wish he got a few more wins in.

  • aguyfromspain

OMG dude i can't believe you guys got hurt so much in the footage O.O!

Loved it! (Dr. Insano may have used some more SAYENS, though) :)

  • brogimus

    I love ASW also

  • brogimus

Big Trouble in little china definitely underrated classic.

  • devilfish

    Thank you!

  • Emperor_Z

Film Brains's character ending up being, for lack of a better word, adorable. How can you not love him when he squealed “Santa Christ, it's so good to see you!” and gave him a hug.

I also thought Linkara put on one of the best performances of all. He especially had some excellent chemistry with Angry Joe. I'd like to see a crossover between the two of them.

  • Sergeant_Shrapnel

Dr Insano having Force Lightning actually makes a lot of sense when you think about it. I mean, as Spoony you were using a Light saber. At some point you apparently became a Jedi Master.

  • http://twitter.com/theMcKrista Krista McLaughlin

hey, i think we have the same chucks! c:

so the arcade wasn't really that great, huh? shame. that dance game still looked really cool, though… was it like risk?

    awesome commentary, dude.

  • Iaro

Ok, had to comment again just to commend Spoony and everyone involved for what sounds like a lot of professionalism while filming.

  • http://twitter.com/feValves Fe Valves

Actually, Dr. Insano already had force lightining powers in A4W's Adamantium Rage review, it had already been established. Never explicitly justified, indeed, but c'mon, he's a mad scientist, he was prolly bitten by a radioactive Sith Lord during an experiment (of the Spoony kind, possibly) or some such.

  • sassamura

Hey spoony, what shocked me was about you being out of shape, you know, I would not expect you to be an atleth, but come on, you are a man, you must at least be strong like a man, you know, not talking about being that kind of gay guy concerned about his ripped muscles, no way, but you have to be ready to defend yourself and handle everyday's situations that requires man strenght. So you could start doing some basic home workout, you know, doing some abs, some push ups… Just to keep a descent physical condition.

  • http://twitter.com/getintheVandell Vandell

Really? Pokemon? Keep it classy, you Channel Awesome dorks. :3

  • estelka

well, you`re right at some point. but i think laziness is one of the problems of our generation, i`m not talking about 100% of cause. but more important: running is not exactly what man power is about, believe me ;)

  • matsern

Anyone know where I might get the ustream od Spoonys D&D games?

  • Mizuchi

I want to watch the D&D stream!

  • http://dragonacesg7.livejournal.com/profile Dragons_Dusk

Wow, you guys are… I'll refrain from saying insane, seems a bit redundant.

I'd like to offer for the next anniversary special tell me where to send some First Aid Kits… yikes, I've heard of suffering for your craft but didn't think you should be killed by bushes over it.

Seriously though, you guys are amazing.

  • thegreatmidday

Ok, I will rank the best actors in this movie. Just to remember everyone was good, you put on a very good performance Spoony, but I will be fair with everyone and try to judge the best performances here.

    - Best techinical actor

Brad Jones – He shows the most experienced and matured performance, he puts on a great performance, hes reactions are good, hes behavior is realistic, he knows when to be serious and when to be goofy. He appears not to be affected by the overacting aura surrounding all the crew.

In second would come Doug, he is not trying to performe naturally, but anyway hes character is very solid and well performed, nice faces, reactions, and else.

    - The best original performance

Chris Larios – Hes character is very well done, very solid and detailed, hes performance is great.

    - Most dedicated actor

No doubt this is one is for Doug, he really got in this projected with everything, hes lines are so well sculped, like he has did the same performance 1000 times before shot.

In second I think would come Film Brain, he is being very criticized about hes performance, but one thing is clear he looks like he really took sometime to work on his lines, he looks confortable playing it, he was dedicated.

    - Funniest actor

President Kevin Baugh – ok, I don't think no one would discuss this point, this guy is sooo funny, haha, he is just naturally funny, he doesn't need to open his mouth to make people laugh. And he is not even trying to act, amazing. He steals the funniest scenes of the movie.
In second I put Nostalgia Chick, her lines are very good written, that helped her a lot, and she did a great performance, and just like President she is a natural, she doesn't need really to make weird faces to be funny.

Anyway you were great spoony, everyone was good, some better, but everyone put on a great performance. Congratulations to all actors.

  • MajorMud

So, are you ever going to do a commentary on a commentary since you like commentaries so much ; )

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Duarte-Ludovico/100000563510375 Duarte Ludovico

First time i write but i have began watching the sponny experiment about 5 months mostly because the review of Alone in the Dark with the Nostalgia Critic and Linkara since then i have been watching your reviews and mostly your vlogs.

About this project i only have good things about i didnt know much of the entire cast of Blistered Thumbs like Cinema Snob, Phelous or Film Brain now i will give them a shot, the entire cast of the movie was great and how the hell everbody was in that little hotel room,

At first i was a little hurried since the movie was a little cliché about want Malassia than the world but but at the time that the episodes began to appear i was a little more happy because i was terrible wrong yes the movie original score was nothing new to offer but all not movies today are the same. Like you said in your first part of the commentaries the best quote of the movie was indeed when Angry Joe said it is no use the bullets go right trought to holes :D.

Like many said the most amazing thing was the time that this was shoot in 4 days you shoot and edited the whole movie that reveals really love to what you do best. All actors were good at their cameo, like in life some are betters than others but the whole movie wasnt the same if everyone wasnt 100% into to the project and i felt everyone was indeed.

Really enjoyed the special presence of Board James and Ma-Ti (since he doesnt have really no cameo i hope he could give some heart to the critic :P)

In the end lets hope that next year come more of Channel Awesome because like the name sugest you guys are awesome.

    Greetings from Portugal

  • http://twitter.com/indyK1ng indyK1ng

I think Benzai might have pulled a joke over on you guys when it comes to “a la mode”. “Mode” is the French word for ice cream. The “a la” part literally translates to “of the” which means “a la mode” is literally “of the ice cream” which roughly means “with ice cream”.

  • http://twitter.com/Thiefofhearts Thiefofhearts

Listening to your story about airsoft guns, I've had better luck moving prop weapons on airlines. I kept the guns in the boxes in my check in bags and announced they were inside when I was checking my bags, simply stating they were toys. They opened my bags right there, checked out the toys and found out they were exactly that.

  • http://www.facebook.com/Neoriceisgood Guido Bos

Really interesting to hear your sentiments on this stuff man, you were by far my favourite “character” in this entire thing I think, I'm glad you got such a big role.

  • icewinds

Hey Spoony, I enjoyed the movie, congratulations to everyone that worked on it.

Anyway I would like to make a sugestion for you and Doug or whoever who watch it, guys, you have an entire crew, a lot of actors that will work for free, you have a decent camera, you are able to take good sound and a nice light on the screen. So you got it all, I think it is time to start to make your own movies, I mean movies with an independent storyline, I mean, I appreciate to see Spoony, Nostalgia Critic and else in a movie. But you got to think of audience that never heard of you, you can reach this audience making a movie with an indepent storyline, characters developed just for the movie, so you can reach a larger audience and not just the fan base.

I like to give an advice too, about this one, when you got one guy that is screaming all the time, you don't need to have more than one, I mean one guy screaming is funny, now everyone screaming it starts to be a bit annoying. So the other actors could give like backup to Doug.

I see that was your first role in a movie spoony, and I enjoyed it, I see a lot of improvement you have done, but there is still place to develop, so work it, it was a big role, if you got people who believes in your acting and giving you big roles, make sure to get your acting always better to back it up.

    Congrats, good job everyone.

  • david86

it's always a good way to speak directly to fans. Personally i enjoy them almost as much as the original

Thanks for the commentary, as always, I do enjoy a little peak behind the curtain on these types of projects. Oh, and FOUR DAYS!?! Of full day shoots in a desert!? Holy crap!!
I'll admit I wasn't too high on Kickassia when it was coming out episodically, while it had some laughs it struck me as sort of cliche and had a real lack of creativity. Partially I think I put too high of expectations on it after seeing the trailer, but since then I've watched it again and gave it more appreciation of what it is and was, an overall fun and silly movie. So thanks for doing it and the entertainment provided. Though I love the character I have to agree with Spoony about Dr. Insano's exposure, there's a great amount of him hitting hard and fast in a short amount of time that it might be best to pull him back into quick cameos again.
Oh! And I'd love to hear the ustream of the D&D games sometime, I'm just still getting into it a bit and I'd love to hear some recognizable people with experience go at it.

Where did you get this information from? According to OED, 'à la mode' means

    1. a. phr. In the fashion, according to the fashion.
    b. Cookery. Of a dessert: served with ice-cream. U.S. [notice this meaning is only in the U.S]

and it literally means 'in the manner or fashion'

The French for ice cream is 'glace'.

The next time Benzai, or any other frenchie bitches about American food being bad, I got one word for you: Toxoplasmosa. 4/5 of France has this disease due to their bad habbit of eating raw meat.

Look it up, it's actually kinda scary. It involves mind-controlling rats to be killed by cats.

Excellent commentary! Really insightful and entertaining. You guys certainly did an epic job on this movie.
I was one of those questioning Dr. Insano's battle approach, and it's good to hear your explanation. Makes sense. And being a big Insano fan, I'm all with ya on that one.
Let's hope you guys can do something as epic next year!

You guys really did a great job on this. I remember watching the first part and thinking “mmm, not sure about this” but then it just got better and better until I really got into it and impatiently awaited the next instalments.

Not to sound like a kissass (ia?), which I'm really not, but you were by far the funniest of the bunch. NC's idea of giving you that super-hammy, mad scientist, Jekyll and Hyde vibe was brilliant and worked really well. Your “transformation” was like the best cliffhanger.

Anyway well done and keep up the good work.

I love these commentaries, Spoony. Hearing about behind-the-scenes is so cool, and having your take on it is always really fascinating for me to listen to.

Anyone who complains, in my opinion, is pretty ungrateful. You guys spent so much time, money, and effort to bring us an amazing video, and anyone who doesn't recognize it clearly isn't considering all the hard work put into this. Remember for all the complaints you may get, there are ten times more fans who love the stuff you and everyone on TGWTG puts out and love what you do and what you give us.

Personally, I loved Kickassia. One of my best friends and I waited until the next one was posted and watched it immediately, then spent the next half hour talking about it. We both wanted you to release the madness so badly and we both absolutely loved it when you did. We watched the last video together and chanted our belief in Santa Christ with you guys.

tl;dr, I suppose, you guys are just plain amazing. Your performance was great and you made so many people stupidly happy. Thanks for posting these commentaries!!

some reason that decided to post twice so I have to edit this one down. Apologies.

I wish more of the TGWTG members would have commentary like this.
I have the same problems with watches and rings. I end up fiddling with them.
    Poor LordKat….
You pretty much steal the show when your on camera.

You play Persona 4?! you should do a lets play! I tried it on easy and it was fun but difficult.
Lol Linkara and You reminds me of me and my sister. but i can never sleep in cars. But messing with me when i’m tired isn’t a good idea.

BlackJack is so much fun, yeah money will always go to food…or anime..

well this is before the Pulse reviews… Phelous gets rather unlike him in them.

I absolutely loved Kickassia, A feature-length movie shot by amatures in 4 days…friggin unbeliveable! However this wasn’t the best comentry, in my oppinion you spent too much time doing the “behind the scenes” stuff rather than actually talking about what was happening on screen. However it was still great to watch, maby we could get doug to do a comentary?

p.s. anyone know what happend to the Kickassia DVD that was gonna be released?

The work that goes into this. To see you all, amateurs, bring yourselves up from nothing and create review shows. Through blood, toil, sweat, and snark you founded your empires. You’ve made yourselves into something great — many things great, actually.

It’s inspiring to see Kickassia take place (and the amazement that came to me when I learned that Molassia is a real nation!). I just want to review something. Here I am, an 18 year old who’s done not with my life so far. I just want to get started on this. But what have I got to review? You guys have games, movies, TV. I wonder how people would take book-vs-book’s-movie reviews.

I’m rambling. Anyway, bravo, guys. Bravo to all of you. Kickassia is a representation of something more than simple reviews, or the overthrow of a real nation smaller than the Vatican. It’s about… a bunch of reviewers doing stuff that people care about. Yeah! Woo.

When the Critic or AVGN or Angry Joe go nuts over something i.e. Bat Credit Card, you can say “He looks like he’s about to kill someone”. When Phelous goes nuts over something you have to say, “He’s about to kill someone”.

What I’m saying is other reviewers act out ‘crazy’ as a temper tantrum. Phelous acts out ‘crazy’ as though he should really be in an asylum.

    Aww Spoony!

Your commentary is not on the DVD…shame really, as you have quite a lot to say.

Yes, I’m going to listen to all of it.  For the next hour and a half.

Noah, Spoony, the “Spoony Plague” you comment on was not your fault. It happens to 80% of people who come to northern Nevada for more than 3 days. I think it has to do with the combination of Sage and Hawthorne always present on the wind.

I just really wish that I had known about this in advance. I could have helped carry or at least have directed you to some near by restaurants to where you were staying. From the window it appears to have been the Atlantis. And well some of my favorite places are technically just across the parking lots. Yeah more than one parking lot but still really close by.

You might remember the Peppermill also being a Casino that is kind of out of the way here in Reno. I live 1 block west of it. About 15 min walk from where you guys were staying.

As to no complaints about the noise you should hear the neighborhood kids in town in the summer. Trust me no one was bothered. And the weapons thing no one would care even if you had fully functional real ones so long as you were being responsible with them. This is a state where you can get out of a psychiatric facility and in less than a decade still be able to legally purchase them again.

I could have also helped with a few more prop weapons…. Oh well so much for missed opportunities.

Just remember if you ever film out this way again you probably want to have some sort of shade on hand for any time someone can step off set as well as 1 gallon of water per hour per person for the time you are filming. They might not drink all that but they could very well need it.

Another thing I likely could have provided is space for doing additional filming where you would have the option to control the light.

Sorry to hear about the Goggles. I’ve found them available on Amazon. Planning to get a pair or few myself. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DYEGEI/sr=8-3/qid=1322746746/

Wow. This commentary is really awesome, so much interesting things you have to say, Spoony. It’s a crying shame Kickassia got the beating from the trolls and haters it got. I thought this movie wasn’t a hollywood spectacular but it wasn’t supposed to be, it was supposed to be a entertaining fun movie and by god it did entertain and more. Regardless, I personally loved it so I never really get bothered by the negativity

  • Sajeh

We played Risk in kindergarten, are you telling me that 30+ year old people play it?

  • Sajeh

You said “God bless” *gaaasp*. Blasphemyyyyyyy! What happened to you Noah?

  • Sajeh

Baugh: “You say Molossia wrong, it is called Molossia!”
As anyone should have said: “OK that’s it…. Oh yeah right, a kid in a grown man’s body’s shitty little fuck state/country in the middle of the desert. I don’t think anyone gives a shit, so go fuck yourself and your state, dig a grave in the backyard and shoot yourself into it. You are a worthless meaningless little shit like everyone else here, so why shouldn’t I say Molossia wrong? Oh you throw me out, thanks alot…. Doug?! See ya, I knew this insignificant stupid internet movie shit were not worth it. Under these conditions I would rather skin myself alive and take a bath in lemon juice.”
